Our temporary home in the lovely town of Pai. For 3 weeks, we eased into the end of our trip here in this incredibly relaxing town, full of talented visual artists, circus performers, musicians, tasty street food, and the most interesting fellow travelers. Staying at Pai Country Huts, chilling at the Pai Circus School and Spirit Bar... Oh so good. Pai, Mae Hong Son Province, Thailand. March 3, 2015

Layin on an elephant heaaadddd yeah!! Hehe sweet ol gal, Miss Ott. This elephant bath experience was amazing! Hehe so we rode bareback down to the river for a good swimming hole like spot, walked into the water and her mahout/trainer got on the back; And he would tell you to hold on tight and he'd have the elephant throw us of into the water!! Hahah over n over again we could never stay on lol She was a goofball, totally loved her bath and water playtime on such a hot day! #elephantlove #thailand #livelife #TravelBigger (at Thom's Pai Elephant Camp)

Truth. Such powerful words. Reclaim knowledge as your own experience combined with a filtering of the information handed to you as education, to create the esoteric knowledge realm for yourself. Travel, expand, challenge.... To actually learn. #terrancemckenna #quotes #travel #learn

The last laugh, the last cup of coffee, the last sunset, the last time you jump through a sprinkler, or eat an ice-cream cone, or stick your tongue out to catch a snowflake. You just don’t know.

Ahhh, such an appropriate quote. My favorite of all time in the teen years.

A personal favorite... Pieces of the oh so dear to my heart, West Sikkim. With Pelling first, we visited Pemayangste Monastery, Radentse Palace Ruins, Rimbi Waterfall, the sacred Khetchepuri Wishing Lake, Kanchenjunga Falls, the charming village of Yuksum and Dubdi monastery, and the most impressive, awe-inspiring Tashiding monastery complex. West Sikkim, Sikkim, India.

Our Rajasthani excursion with an overnight camel safari, the Rajasthan desert festival and meeting "Mr. Desert", and the epic Jaisalmer Fort... An incredibly unique experience in the great Indian desert that was definitely worth the far out detour west in our itinerary. My camels' name was Lalu; the leader of the group and such a cutie!! Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India. January 30, 2015

A special week by the fresh and beautiful Ganges river, right where it begins from the ice melt of the himalyas. Near Laxnanjula, this "yoga capitol of the world" was a treat. You may know this place Rishikesh as home to The Beatles' ashram in the 70s, however we didn't get to check it out due to wild elephant tramplings that had been causing deaths to visitors there... Scary! We played it safe. However I did get assaulted by an angry and insecure hubby monkey while crossing the bridge...! Haha 'twas an incredible place Rishikesh, Uttaranchal, India. Visit to a small mountain town, home to HH Dalai Lama, with spectacular views of the white topped Dauladhar Mountains, good tibetan food, plus a good dose of history and culture from the Tibet Museum, as well as the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, as this town is home to the tibetan community in exile. McLeod Ganj, Himichal Pradesh, India. January 15, 2015.

Curly tailed kitties, dank Cambodian curry and killer western food, a bunch of awesome longterm backpackers, cool Jamaican rap djing, countless hammock swinging, river views, and a unique zoo experience I'll get no where else in the world in my lifetime... This riverside town was quite the gem. Kampot, Cambodia. January 4, 2015

Visiting Angkor Archeological Park was well worth the trip, just north of Siem Reap. Sites we checked out included Angkor Thom, the largest pre-industrial city, with the epic Bayon inside; Angkor Wat, the 7th wonder of the world and largest religious monument in the world; Ta Prohm, the "Tomb Raider" temple; and my favorite, Banteay Srei, the most impressive ornate high relief decoration I've ever seen, so beautiful, and so incredible to be so old (around 600ad?). Definitely the best experience for bringing in the new year!! Siem Reap, Cambodia. December 31, 2014
