SCRIPT WRITING
SCENE 1: Hair Store Adventures
INT: 3 young black woman walk into a Korean owned Beauty supply store looking for hair care products and hair extensions.
MAYA, ANDREA, and LISA all walk into the store confused and unsure what they are really looking for...
MAYA: I don't know why y'all brought me into this store... At this point y'all must want me to be broke.
LISA rolls her eyes and walks towards the natural hair section.
ANDREA: You think this store is overpriced? I got a good wig from here for the low. Girl stay woke.
MAYA: What's most important right now is for you and LISA to get what y'all need to get so we can go.
ANDREA looks at MAYA for a second then walks toward aisle four, labeled "Bleaches and Dye."
From a distance ANDREA yells back to MAYA
ANDREA: ard miss mamas.
Camera cuts to LISA in aisle seven looking for another deep conditioner for her kinky, bleached blonde hair.
MAYA starts looking through the aisles and sees LISA looking at all the multiple suppliers of deep conditioners with a confused and frustrated look.
As MAYA makes her way down aisle seven, LISA looks up and cuts her eyes at MAYA.
LISA: what yo? Don't down here rushing me or doing all that extra shit you be on.
MAYA: girl please. You known to do the most. I was just coming down here to lend a hand.
LISA: Girl you full of shit. What's your sign again?
MAYA: Girl go the fuck head. And it's Leo if you didn't know sissy. Anyway what are you looking for?
MAYA approaches LISA.
LISA: I don't really know. I'm starting to dislike my hair. I wear wigs but I don't want to pay for a good one so it's time to start my natural hair journey.
LISA picks up creme of nature
MAYA: that usually works on my hair. But hair is hair. Just figure out your hair type. This means finding the right products for your hair.
ANDREA approaches with a black bag and an over-joyous smile.
LISA: what you get?
ANDREA: some got to be glued and a new detangle brush. Did you find what you were looking for?
LISA: a man? girl no but i'm still trying.
MAYA: men suck bro. Now pick a conditioner so we can go. I told you not to bleach and stick to a rinse but here we are after break up number 5 with DARIUS.
ANDREA: I go through a phase everyday when I wanna cut all my hair off. Don't pay MAYA any attention but we do need to go. And I told you to get the human hair wigs. Being cheap got you here sweetie.
LISA: ya'll no help. I'll meet you at the register.
ANDREA AND MAYA WALKS TOWARDS THE EXIT.
LISA PICKS UP AUSSIE 5 MINUTE DEEP MOISTURE CONDITIONER AND WALKS TO THE REGISTER.
LISA CHECKS OUT AND THE THREE GIRLS WALK HOME TOGETHER.
