I don’t know if Vivien Lyra Blair is a child prodigy actress or if Disney found a needle in a haystack, and by some miracle cast a little girl who just naturally embodies the spirit of Leia, but either way, SHE’S LITERALLY THE PERFECT EMBODIMENT OF BABY LEIA and I will die on this hill. She captures the intelligence, the snark, the strength, and the warmth so well. That’s a task many adult actors would have struggled with, but she DOES it. I am now 100% a Vivien stan. Many props to Deborah Chow for her direction as well—the portrayal of a beloved character is always risky but they’ve done such a good job.
