C disabled her ability to regenerate by hacking her core — after the group brings Alice and Beau out of the labs, Alice offers to fix C’s regeneration if C can build a body for Beau.

C has some pretty complex emotions about regeneration — she thinks it’s the main reason for why the disassembly drones have acted as if there is no consequences to their actions — they can’t scar, or become injured permanently. She feels almost a sense of false superiority for having the ability to lose limbs and have her plating scratched.

The reality is, she doesn’t understand why the worker drones that have lost their lives to the disassembly drones deserved to live any less than the disassembly drones.

That, and she still carries heavy guilt for not being able to save Cyn (or Tessa) from the solver. While she has somewhat of a grudge against J, she understands her deeply; they suffered great losses of different types of bonds due to the solver.

All in all, Alice is confused and frustrated, and C is hesitant to fix herself, feeling like she loses a way out of her hardships if she’s able to heal.

its really funny that like. adventure time often is a profound and meaningful and affecting show but like- all the most popular quotes that get passed around as these beautiful things tend to be, like, bullshit when actually in context. Especially if Jake said it. saw a post the other day that said like “jake will give the most life changing advice but its just to cover for his own personality flaws”. “sucking at something is the first step towards being sorta good at something” is immediately followed by finn and jake performing plastic surgery with no training. his spiel about how rules and laws are made to benefit and protect the people who are already on top and keep everyone else down is just him trying to justify not paying rent to his son or something. marceline says “i don’t think there are bad people just that sometimes good people make mistakes and that’s not bad” and that’s great but the context is that she and LSP just assaulted multiple people for no reason, stole from a woman and then ran her over with her own car and locked her in the trunk
