“I invited you to that concert.” He said stiffly. “I though the reason you hadn’t come was because you were busy…” He added. Chad chuckled and watched as the waitress walked away from their table. “It’s probably because you’re someone they look up to and everything. They want to be like you, Raine. Poor them.” Chad said sarcastically. “It’s the same thing with me and the guys, I miss them, you know…” He shrugged. “I knew we’d end up going different ways… I just wish I could go back and relive high school.”

“I know how you feel, I think I’ve only slept six hours in the last month. It’s my record.” Since he was child, the boy never slept much, however now that he was working as an actor, filming took too much of his time and he didn’t have time left for anything else. “What about your family? How often do you see them?” Chad didn’t see his relatives very much, since they were all very busy and so was the boy. He thanked the waitress when she placed their drinks on the table and waited for her to walk away so they could continue their conversation.

“Filming was all right.” He smiled, sure that sooner or later that was going to end, because, as all his friends, Chad was going to take his dad’s company when he retired. “I never thought I’d get tired of kissing Jennifer Lawrence though.” He chuckled at his own joke. The waitress that usually served them walked to their table to take their orders. Unsure of what to get, the boy ordered a beer. “At least you don’t treat your fans like Avril Lavigne, who’s scared of their touch.” He said. “Or at least, I hope you don’t treat your fans like that.”

“It’s not your problem if they pass out after meeting you, is it?” He added, with a hint of dry humor. “I’m going to ask you a sincere question and you’ll give me a sincere answer.” He told her. “When was the last time you and Kiki talked in person?” He thought about all his friends, the one that he only talked to through SMS’s nowadays. “Face Time doesn’t count.”  He added.

‘OMW.’ Typed Chad on his phone, hoping the autocorrect would be useful for at least once in his life. The abbreviation was transformed into a sentence and the brunette hit the send button. The traffic was the biggest flaw of the city of angels, especially because Chad was working on the set of a movie being filmed in northern Los Angeles and the bar he and Raine usually met was at the opposite end of the town. After half an hour of traffic, Chad finally arrived at the bar. Both had a busy schedule, so whenever they had matching free time, they’d meet each other for drinks and a few laughs.

He pushed away some paparazzi and walked into the bar. Chad looked around for Raine and found her at a table. He walked toward it and smiled at the sight of her face, all their fans knew that they had gone to university together and, for Chad, having an ‘old friend’ around made things a lot easier, especially because Raine was one of the people that helped him when he was just an aspiring actor. “Ms. Channing.” He said, sitting in front of the girl.
