Chaerin spent much of her morning preparing for the day ahead. This day had been all talk for some time now, but she was finally free and so was Jonghyun. She felt at ease around him, that his smile offered some happiness she had missed, and that she could truly be herself— witty, harsh, and wild, while at the same time being quiet, shy, and arguably very cute. Something she would always deny, but for some reason she never could with Jonghyun. She just thanked him, typically with a red tint on her cheeks.

She stared down at her pepero sticks now drying on a thin piece of styrofoam. The thin biscuit was dipped in white chocolate, carefully decorated with crumbs of red velvet cake. Chaerin was more than happy to go out of her way for this since she desperately missed greeting guests, she even woke up much earlier than she normally did. Beside the pepero was a plate filled with spicy dumplings, a salad, and its dressing.

After spending the morning in a tank top, shorts, and her apron, she was finally ready to get dressed; she had roughly thirty minutes until he would show up. Chae quickly winged her eyeliner, concealed her face, and brushed through her now short and brown hair. She chose to wear a black, cropped addidas hoodie, some black leggings with mesh on the sides, and rilakkuma socks. Before heading downstairs, she rounded up her three cats and said softly, “You’re gonna meet my oppa today. Treat him nicely.”
