Cute things I noticed about the new TADC episode (let's go for Kinger since Zooble and Gangle got spotlighted by most of the viewers as they should) :
Kinger says he likes the color blue because it's the closest to the color black meaning he likes the color black. While this could be because he prefers to remain in darkness, we must remember that Queenie is a black chess piece.
When Kinger and Ragatha walk into the bar from Zooble's suggestion, Ragatha is dry even though it is pouring outside. As Kinger walked in with an umbrella while also being dry, this means they shared said umbrella on their walk to the bar off screen.
When Ragatha hits a home run as Caine defines them, Kinger picks up Ragatha, spins her around like a proud parent would and genuinely congratulates her for her winning the game even if she didn't do anything. After Ragatha gave us a glimpse of her family background especially with her abusive mother, I'm sure this moment slightly healed her inner child self.
I didn't notice any of this until you pointed it out (save for the black = safe space where he last saw Queenie connection) and now I feel like my inner child self is slightly healed. God, this show is perfect.

Viv making a whole thread about Vox = Trump comes off as pick me behavior, like she wants people to call Hazbin Hotel topical and deep. I can’t understand why she’d post something like that before the second season even has a trailer, except to try and get attention. Kinda gives “Stop reminding me about the kids at my panels that I do nothing about! Look at how clever I am as a writer, I predicted Trump three years ago!”
Yeah, the timing's more than a little suspect.

What would you think about shipping Blitzo with Evil Pomni?
Still a better love story than Stolitz.

Thank you i dont like those bluey episodes either
Favorite Thing is so annoying how it treats bluey like she was bullying bingo for finding it funny that she beaned her dad in the head with a cherry tomato (and she’s right it was)
And also acts like bluey is throwing a tantrum for bingo not cheering up, and not bingo throwing an actual tantrum over something so small
(And yeah that’s normal for children but they don’t hold bingo accountable)
And then bad mood
Good fucking grief
This is bingo throwing a literal tantrum, stomping her feet and knocking things over and it’s supposed to not only be funny
But like you said everyone in the family is expected to stop and make bingo feel better right there and then
Small correction, the moment in Favorite Thing that set Bingo off was the fact that she'd used the word "trifficult" and Bluey bringing it up hurt her feelings. It's one I'm always on the fence for, because everything about it is annoying, and yet holy shit...that was me as a kid.
But yeah, Bad Mood was pretty bad. So was Fairies.

Honestly, I've been holding back on saying it because I thought it'd make me sound crazy, but now that she's mentioned the latest season being unintentionally "topical"... My theory is, and honestly has been (heh) since I saw Vox hypnotize a crowd he already has total control over influence wise and who don't at all doubt what he's saying, is that, Vox is going to be a rapist in S2 with Val, and his only victim will be Angel Dust. There's already the leak of Angel with Vox hypnotic eyes and being tied up to a chair, but Raph is really into that shit too. You can tell if you look at, again, the Red Smoke comic. The end implies Angel is about to be hypnotized into having no agency or even memory over whatever will happen to him next. And I can already see it now - if this is what happens, then fans are going to justify how this show makes a CEO a completely all powerful hypnotism wielding sexual assaulter (who probably won't be defeated by the end of the season in a meaningful way,) by saying it's either a good way to show the cruel reality of this in Hollywood. Except, A) It doesn't usually happen to femboy twinks who kill people for fun, and, B) They also don't need to hypnotize people to have such a predatory advantage over them. They use things like contracts, drugs, or gifts, like Val has with Angels porn star contract, fueling his drug addiction, and his pet, Fat Nuggets. All the things that could show meaningful growth from an abuser are right there, but we can't get rid of them, because Viv needs gooner bait of her drug joke making sex spider, which means we need to ring out his contract for the rest of the series, no matter what! If the show is trying to be realistic, since it's been a reflection of reality so far, then this is where it's suddenly dropping the ball. For the writers barely disguised fetish that the victim seemingly can't escape from, but the show will likely frame as him being strong for putting up with, when more people would understandably realize how horrific it is if a woman acted like this about her sadistically sexual abusers. Plus, what the fuck is Angel supposed to do to avoid this, as opposed to the other examples in the show I listed? Wear a tinfoil hat to work everyday? I know that Vox has always had the hypno eye since the pilot, but nothing about the Instagrams, the Pilot, or even the prequel comic, ever implied he could hypnotize people. It was just a popular headcanon from the fandom Viv wanted to incorporate for indulgences sake only. Besides, why would the biggest tech CEO in hell NEED to hypnotize people to make them convinced of his good intentions they already don't doubt anyway? I always anticipated this happening, but if it actually does, then maybe it'll be a good thing. Maybe more people will realize Viv has a rape fetish, and that Viv will never look at the reality of what brings men like that in power in real life, how vile they can truly be, and how they aren't always conventionally attractive, or cartoonish and pathetic. Also, she'll probably drive away more Vox fans in favor of VoxValAngel gooner softcore porn. If this all happens, someone owes me twenty bucks. (Viv should owe me twenty bucks.)
I'll join you in that bet. Odds are high that Viv and Raph are about to pluck another scene straight out of Red Smoke, then scream down survivors who point this out and say that they're uncomfortable with it.

I wasn't clear enough last time about the child being given the floor dispite all Viv's claims in her own response that she makes effort to keep them away even by having staff vet. If she believes that children showing up is the only issue then why is any child even given the time of day against her instructions and why are children even let in if she's that serious? Between her voice actors being creeps and her instructions being ignored, she seems a bad leader for allowing people who work for her to compromise and ignore her, that or she's bulling and just thrown a hissy fit at others because the team got put on blast, either way she fails to see what the real issue is.
Acknowledging what the real issue is would mean taking the bare minimum of action to stop it...in this case, making sure her VAs don't make sex jokes to kids. But that would put a damper on a miniscule amount of her and her buddies' fun, so never going to happen.

random thought but I recently watched the movie Saltburn
it's kind of a Parasite / Talented Mr Ripley rip off, where someone connives their way into a rich family (and has some queer overtones)
but it's like, bad. It's just bad, idk how else to say it
and it kind of hit me that it's the same sort of bad that Helluva is. it wants to look like it's saying something profound about classism and rich people but it never actually does. the rich people are written to be bad the same way Helluva writes them - the spineless way where they never do anything awful onscreen or anything worse than be mildly rude and kinda fickle
but the other thing that makes it Helluva bad in my book is it presents itself like it's this grand meaningful narrative with a serious score when it's doing soap opera level plot twists and putting squicky sex scenes (they're intended to be squicky and shocking, btw, I'm not being a puritan here) to try and elevate the material to make it feel like it's saying something.
and the other thing that hit me is that Saltburn could have been good if it actually knew what movie it was instead of the movie it wanted to be. lean in to the ridiculous soap opera twists and crossing the line twice moments instead of insisting that it's Saying Something (TM). because there's such a dissonance between the script and every other part of the production (the cinematography is really wasted on it, same as the animation is on Helluva)
that's the only way I think they could salvage Helluva nowadays. stop pretending Stella is a thought out depiction of domestic abuse and stop pretending Stol1tz is a well executed messy relationship and just loop it back around to everyone is awful and everything is ridiculous
but I will give Saltburn a couple things over Helluva: it doesn't woobify the rich characters (even if they do lack edge) and it at least had a consistent plotline and mostly consistent characterization
Ooh, I might need to check that out. I like things that are the same flavor of bad as HH/HB, but still somehow manage to not be as incompetent.

I keep seeing some of the things that viv has posted on social media. She really hasn't left her twitter self behind after she left that cesspool of a site. If anything it feels like she's trying to preserve her twitter mentallity.
I should probably mention that I don't like twitter, like at all. I mean soem friends of mine had accounts, but objectively its a really bad website that should honestly be shut down. If the political bullshit on that site isn't enough to turn ya away, how about the fact that twitter also defends pedophiles despite them being vile peices of shit.

I find it fascinating how differently both Goose and Viv react to fame and attention. Goose, from what I remember, has said she didn't expect TADC to be as big as it got and isn't used to now being considered famous. Meanwhile with Viv, she loves whenever the spotlight is on her and only her. Goose seems far more humble and happy to share her work with the world, while Viv views art as a way to rub elbows with the elite.
For real. It wasn't until Goose shared the storyboards for the intermission sequence that I realize just how much work she actually puts into her own show.
If Viv's doing the same, she never shows it. Sometimes we'll get a ref sheet locked behind a paywall, but for the most part, it's just pictures of her showing off her lavish lifestyle and how much money she's throwing around.

"What did people back then mean by "rape face"?" is now one of my favorite phrases thank you anon. Unfortunately rage comics were the first time I saw the word rape (I was an unsupervised fifth grader) and would not receive sex education at school until years later. I see a lot of people are coming out with stories about how being neglected and raised by the internet damaged them and parents are to blame. Still, never show those pics to a y2k aesthetic account or they will have a heart attack
It was such a feral time. I think that on the whole we were better off than today's generation when it came to the internet, and that's not a good thing.

I don’t think queen bees design is that bad actually
The problem, other than not having a lot of bee features, is that she doesn’t have enough contrast
She has quite a bit going on in her design, and the colors are all so close to the same shade or hue that it’s hard to tell what the hell is going on
True. It's a mess, but one with a lot of very small fixes that would solve a whole lot of problems. Viv's work in general is like that.
