“Hmph.” She said. Kanaya knew that the only reason that Eridan would come to see her was because he needed something important. He certainly wasn’t stupid. More like arrogant and ignorant sometimes. Well, she’d prefer this Ampora over any other on any day of the week. “A talk, you say?”
“Well, make it quick and get to the point, then, Ampora.” She says, crossing her arms and staring directly at him.
“Fine. It’s kind of difficult to have an intelligent convversation wwhen the time frame is limited though. First I should ask if I could come in?”
Perhaps you should do this another time. You weren’t quite sure how reliable she was when she was like this. Unless of course you managed to spark her interest? Yes, that should work. If you are careful with your words, then you might be able to get her talking.
"It doesn't matter what the time frame is, you could have an intelligent conversation in five minutes or five hours. It depends on how articulate your sentences are and how your structure them."
She walks back into her apartment, gesturing for him to come inside without saying so aloud. "Now, speak." Kanaya says, sitting down and crossing her legs. "Preferably before I toss you out the window." Eridan wasn't the person of choice she'd pick to have a conversation with. However, if he had something good to say, she'd listen. For now.

Kanaya was in a good mood. She’d just gotten home from work and had retired to her room after taking a nice, long, soothing shower. And now she was curled up on her bed reading a lengthy novel. Of course, it was related to the supernatural. What else? The knock at the door made her grumble to herself.
The voice made her brow furrow and she groaned. Great.
“Yes, I’m here, Eridan. What is it that you need at this hour?” She asked as she walked towards the door. She opened it swiftly and looked at the other with a slight hint of disdain. “Hello. Pleasure to see you at this hour.” Her tone was clipped with a underlying tone of annoyance.
It seemed that you caught her in a lovely mood. How perfect.
You cast away the sarcastic thoughts and adjusted your coat before deciding what to say. You figured that the direct approach might not be the best considering her mood, so you decided that a more nonchalant one would be better.
“I wwant nothin’ more than a talk. Wwe havven’t really done so in a wwhile, so wwhy not catch up?”

You and Kanaya have never been on great terms, there is no denying that. True, you can share an intelligent conversation once in a while, and she is one of the only ones in your group of “friends” that has any sense of style, but you have never been close. It’s almost a shame, for if you had managed to recruit her as a peacekeeper between you and Vriska, then who knows what kind of havoc you could wreak on this city.
You still find it difficult to see why Kanaya refused your offer. If anything, it gave her a chance to get closer to Vriska and pursue that little girl crush of hers. But whatever, you couldn’t make sense of any of her actions if you tried. Luckily it’s not a part of your job.
What is a part of your job is reconnaissance though. You were sent to collect information on Feferi’s orders, without shedding any blood. Since you had that limitation, you had to resort to contacting one of the bigger gossips that you know. You supposed you could have contacted Karkat, but you were unable to reach him. Besides, you were already here. Sighing, you knocked on the door.
“Kan? You there?”

"Just give me a second." She walked over to the doorman and showed her ID and then was let into the building. A few minutes later, there was a slight purr of an engine and she drove her Vespa up to Umbrage. "This will be our mode of transport. Hope you don't mind?" She asked. She already had a helmet and goggles on, they were green. "The only other color that I have is red." Kanaya already knew that he didn't mind red. Not at all.

“Yeah, the cities never been very ordinary. Did you like it there? The UK I mean?” He honestly didn’t recall very many fun times when he was there, despite a fair bit of his childhood being there. When the “game” started officially he was more than glad to finally escape England. Coming to the states seemed like it could possibly be a huge adventure, or at least that’s how Callie made it out to be.

"It was nice. But there were too many bad memories that we all had to escape. I believe that my mother had a good reason to take us so far away. Why here, is always something I've wanted to ask. It's a quiet town, but there's far too much crime and far too many losses once in awhile." She sighs. "Then again, my mother always had to run away from her losses."
"We're here." They stop at this apartment complex that's about ten stories high and it's obviously in a better neighborhood than most places in Terranos. "Welcome to my home. I'll be out shortly, we'll have to go into the parking garage."
"I hope you don't mind wearing a helmet."

“What’s a miracle is how anyone actually lives here. Kind of strange, considering that it’s not on a lot of maps and it’s sort of secluded. That and it’s underground considered, this city is amazingly wealthy and populated. Wonder why that is.”
“Any anyway, how far are we from your place?”

"Not extremely far. We're almost there." She answers. "And I found that odd as well. My mother actually brought the family here from the UK. No idea what she was trying to accomplish. She was always very tight-lipped about many things." Kanaya sighs. "Nevertheless, it's always been a bit strange here in Terranos."
You had one job, Dave.
“Is that a threat?” He teased casually, then allowed Kanaya to take the lead. He had no idea where he was going, and he had a horrible feeling that he would have gotten them everywhere except her apartment had he continued at this pace. He could lose a couple seconds of walking.
“And it’s probably a good thing too, that you assume me a decent person for now. Considering the crime rate here it isn’t hard to believe someone may or may not be a criminal.”

"Possibly." She said, smirking a bit. "Oh, yes, the crime rate here is awful. It's hard to trust anyone around here. It's a miracle I've any friends at all with the fact that most people are quite paranoid around these parts." She shrugs. "I prefer to have more friends over enemies."
You had one job, Dave.
“I suppose it does beat the alternative. I normally don’t make a big deal about having enemies, but it somehow seems a shame to have you as one.” He blamed Jane. He probably would continue to do so, since she somehow managed to infect him with this ‘friendship’ thing. It was minorly annoying, and it made him appear like less of a bastard than he normally was. Speaking of which, it has been a while since he’s seen her. He might have to get around to contacting her again.

"Well, who knows? It's his business." She replies. "I seem to be hearing that quite a lot lately. He doesn't seem so bad to me." Kanaya follows her sister into the cafe. Oh, yes. Memories indeed. Briefly, Kanaya wondered what 'sermons' Porrim could be talking about. She supposed that she'd have to ask him later.
Family Reunion
“Well, well, Is little Kanny getting some contacts in the upper class? Well done, sis.” You smile at her. You’d say she was growing up, but she had been an adult for a while now. Maybe it was just the lack of contact with her that made you think like that. “So, did you get his name?”
“Oh.. Kankri? I hope he wasn’t too much of a bother, I know he can be quite insufferable at times. How is he?”

"Either way, I think I like it."

He smirks as well and sweeps her into his arms. “It would be my pleasure Miss. Maryam. I would hate to start spilling chemicals in an inadequate place.” He makes he way through his house expertly weaving through the chaos that are the rooms that make up his lovely abode until he eventually makes it to his room where he set her down and immediately attacked her neck nibbling gently.

Well, that was unfair.
Now, Kanaya Maryam didn't consider her body to be very 'wow'ing'. But, by no means was she less than average. She was well equipped in a lot of departments. She had an hourglass figure, but she wasn't stick-thin. Her breasts, though no bigger than a B or a C cup, were nicely shaped, and she could see what was running through Kankri's head.
"Do you like what you see?" He definitely took advantage of what was being presented to him.

“Are you getting a bit short winded Miss. Maryam?” He lightly played with her chest, and moved his other hand across to the inside of her thigh before planting a few extra kisses to her collar bone.
“Maybe. Or maybe I’m just getting a little impatient with all the teasing.” She says with a bit of snark. She felt goosebumps on her skin wherever he touched her. “On the contrary, I could also be enjoying this a little too much.”
You pull her closer into you. God you loved the touch of her on your skin. Every touch was amazing. You kiss her properly although this time a bit more rough as you rub your hand along her inner thigh wherever her skin was exposed and expose new skin with every second of your growing inpatients.
She pulls him closer and presses back against him. “I think that the bedroom would be an adequate place to start mixing chemicals, yes?” She asks, shedding off her jacket and pulling off her shoes. “Best make haste now, the reaction’s a bit quick.” She smirks a little. “Mind leading the lady around this grand ‘castle’ of yours?”

Kanaya blinked in confusion. O...kay? She didn't really understand what had just happened. Perhaps Jane would be a little more coherent when she awoke. Hopefully. For now, Kanaya used her cell phone to dial the Egbert/Crocker household. "Yes, hello? Could I speak to John Egbert, please?" There was a slight pause.
"Hello, dear. I was calling to inform you that I've found that Ms. Crocker is in my care for the time being. Ah...yes, she's fine, perfectly well, I assure you. Just a bit inebriated." She chuckled. "I'll be sure to return her in the morning when she's sober. Thank you for your time, John. I'll speak to you soon." And then she hung up.
Now to play the waiting game.
Caliborn Fangirls
“Just drink it, dear. It’ll help.” She instructed, watching her carefully. She took a sip of her own tea and placed it on the table. “When you take the medicine, just lie down on your side. I don’t want you choking on your own vomit.” Kanaya turns on the telly to watch some news and a few other things. “I’ll be here when you wake up.” She says reassuringly.

"Believe me, to most on my bad side, they haven't stayed there for very long." There's an underlying hint of danger in her tone, but she lightens up. "You are very much a good friend. So far, at least. I haven't seen anything that would make me assume otherwise." Well, that was a lie. Kanaya was still very suspicious of him. But, she'd pretend she wasn't. For the time being.
You had one job, Dave.
“Oh you consider me a friend?” He found himself smirking despite himself, then simply continued to keep up with Kanaya. He supposed as far as things were, they had become much nicer to each other since their first impressions. It was actually quite funny, how they met glaring at each other and now they were going to a hospital to make sure that his unfortunate friend-of-a-friend wouldn’t die. Oh well, strange things often happened in Terranos.

"Better than an enemy, I'd say." She would rather prefer to be his friend than an enemy. Or a frienemy. Whatever the term was. Kanaya was a person who preferred to be on the better sides of people anyway. She figured the less trouble, and the less arguments. On top of that, friends protected each other. Most of the time. She didn't want to go and make enemies who wanted to kill her and then she'd have no one to turn to.
More or less, the more friends she had, the less enemies she had. That was generically the way she thought. "Would you prefer it if we were at each other's throats?"
You had one job, Dave.
“No, I actually prefer it. It would bring up some awkward memories if you did end up calling me by my name, so I’m glad we have an alternate title to go by.” He was confused for a split second on her last comment, but backtracked quickly enough to not get hit by a car. In all honesty, he had nothing against jaywalking. It got him places faster, but considering the recent events it probably wouldn’t be a smart idea to test the brakes on the cars.
He nodded a quick thanks, then turned to glare at the traffic light across the street. Patience was not a virtue that he had, but living is something that he enjoys doing. he could suffer for a few seconds.

"Well, that's good." She smirks a little to herself at the confusion on his face for that brief second. "Patience, Mr. Umbrage." Kanaya teases. "I don't believe that I'd fancy a visit to the hospital for two friends." The light finally goes and Umbrage looks nearly relieved to finally be moving along. She chuckles to herself and walks fast. He seems to walk as if he's in a rush. That or, probably the fact that he had longer legs than her.
You had one job, Dave.
“English.” She repeats. Hm. English was a common last name. That or there was a relation between a certain gun-toting friend of hers and Mr. Umbrage. She wasn’t going to call him Mr. English, though. Bit strange. Especially when she already had a friend who went by that. “I prefer Umbrage, to be honest. Not that that the partial of your name that you gave me was very unappealing, but I already have a friend who has a quite similar title. I’d prefer to keep the lines separate, yes?”
“I’m sure you wouldn’t mind if I kept calling you Umbrage. Would you?” She stopped suddenly, hitting the crosswalk button. “Watch your step.” Kanaya says as he almost walks straight into the traffic. Apparently he’d been too focused on their conversation.
