I’m alive! (Hiatus notice!)

And I’m incredibly sorry for having disappeared on everyone without explaining what I’ve been up to!

To sum it up, I’ve been a combination of busy, distracted, and just plain unmotivated to write for Morgiana due to a lack of muse. That last one pretty much explains itself, but I think it’s worthwhile to go slightly more in-depth with the other two. As far as being distracted goes, my hype for Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir has been real and, as a result, I’ve had a lot more interested in writing for Ingway than Morg. As such, I’ve been much more active over @princexfallen than here RP-wise. I’ve kind of also gotten into the Macross franchise and have been watching Macross 7, Frontier, and Delta almost nonstop, so there’s that too.

As for being busy, well, I’ve officially moved accounts on Tumblr, Twitter, DeviantArt, Pixiv, and FanFiction.Net for reasons both personal and professional. I’ve also begun putting a lot more focus into my creative work because hey, I’m 19 years old and need to figure out what the hell I’m going to do with my life since I’m not attending college and haven’t gotten a job yet. While I’m still doing fun fandom-related things like fanfiction and fanart, I’ve started to put my focus into planning and writing some original web novels that will be posted to my shiny new website over on Wordpress. Naturally, I’m hoping that if I work hard enough, I may be noticed by a publisher and will eventually be able to make a living off my writing. Until then, I just gotta keep trying.

But oysters are living creatures, right? If we open them up, we’ll kill them...

Wait, what was Morgiana thinking? She chomped down on fish at every meal for crying out loud. Shellfish were no different. Calmly, Morgiana bent down and slipped her hands under the water. She was able to tug a lone oyster off the wall with ease and was quick to turn around so that Alibaba wouldn’t, ahem, see her being violent with the poor thing.

There was a cracking noise and the oyster broke clean in two. Morgiana examined the fleshy insides rather carefully for any sign of a stone. Most pearls were white, right? Although she had heard about the occasional rare blue or golden pearl... “I don’t see anything in this one...” She said before chucking the two halves into the ocean.

▮ ₪┆ As Morgiana stood back examining them all, Alibaba was already busy splashing through the wave pools as he climbed along the rocky shore. This place was amazing! Close to the palace while still being secluded; it was a much better spot to explore than what Ja’far had told him about before!

“Just check them out for yourself, Morgiana!” Alibaba plopped his hand into one of the pools at that, pulling out a small oyster that clung to the side. “I mean, there’s plenty of them around, right? One of them’s bound to have something inside!”

She had never seen so many thriving tide pools in her whole life. Each of them carried a number of small sea creatures like urchins, starfish, and crabs. In particular, there happened to be a lot of oysters clinging to the sides of the rocks. Strange, she would have expected more of them in deep water.

“I wonder if there are pearls inside them?” She said turning to Alibaba, being mindful of how slippery the seaside outcropping was.

The moment that she was on the bed, Morgiana’s fingers were quick to grab hold of Alibaba’s clothes again. She wasn’t sure at all what Yamuraiha was going to do with her, but the general’s hands were already moving to remove the bandages that covered her wounds.

‘It might be an infection. A really bad one.’

Her wounds got infected? Or she was infected with something. Or...Morgiana shivered as the bandages came undone and her wounds were revealed. The gasp that Yamuraiha made said everything.

▮ ₪┆ “Right!” Alibaba quickly filed in after the general, following Yamuraiha to a small bed near the rear of the room. He wasn’t about to go against the magician’s orders to put Morgiana where she’d asked, but as the prince neared the short cot, he found himself trying to fight off a clinginess—an urge that almost screamed at him to keep a tight grip on his friend as she suffered. 

Though, with a tear tinged glance down, Alibaba finally managed to subdue the feeling long enough to slowly lower Morgiana down where she needed to be.

“What’s the matter with her, anyway? But I thought you’d already taken care of those snake bites from before, hadn’t you?”
