Tumblr media
Faking the death of someone who had a rather shallow footprint in the world was a little tricky. Already having no connections to other people made a lack of whitenesses or the need for an actual funeral. So One decided that the quick and dirty method would be easiest and set her apartment on fire. One got to see some actual personality out of the girl when she started an argument about wanting to be the one to throw the match, an argument that she won. After choosing which belongings to take with her, she lit a candle and then topped it off by throwing a match onto a stack of books and magazines on her bedside table. One and the girl now know as Eight watch from far away as police series and firetrucks polluted the streets as they made their way toward the complex. The following day Evelyn was in the obituaries, with no one to plan the funeral she never got to see it and just left with One to the dessert.
The crew sat in the belly of a rather large plane awaiting the new arrival. They where curious about the new girl. They grow had such a tight bond they didn’t want some kid to ruin it. They knew she used to work alone and getting used to the group dynamic would take time. But they also didn’t want to deal with some whiny bitch. They had to trust that One would pick someone good, I mean he’s done pretty good so far.
One stepped into the ship will a petite girl with long brown hair fallowing behind him.
“Eight meet Two, Three, Four, Five, and Seven” The man spoke gesturing to each member. “Guys and gals meet Eight”. Evelyn did an awkward wave hoping someone would break the tension.  Seven was the first to stand up and walk over, he was the most recent newbie and was recently in her shoes. He put his hand out to Evelyn while saying with a smile “Nice to meet you Eight”. “Nice to meet you as well” She responded giving a smile back. He was tempted to ask for her real name but decided to wait a bit to prevent One from blowing a gasket. The three walked back over to where the rest where sitting around a wooden table. Three was next to speak up “How was the funeral?” He said while laughing a bit, this just earned a slap from Two. “Oh, I, uh didn’t have one.” She said shrugging her shoulders. The rest of the group was taken aback, while they didn’t all have very extravagant funeral like Seven they all still had them. “What do you mean?” Four prodded he thought he had the shittiest funeral of the bunch. “I didn't have any connections with people anyway so there was no one to plan one. Just my name in the obituary.” “Works out for me in this case though.” Evelyn said with a laugh, she didn’t want to bring down mood. Especially over something that didn’t bother her anyway. The group didn’t push for her past anymore. They knew she would fit in just fine around here, the girl who barely existed found her people.

The Shadows Playground Chapter 3
Tumblr media
Please check out chapters 1 & 2 also if any of y'all know how I can put a link to them that would be lovely.
Summery:  Evelyn a college dropout has an odd talent for going unnoticed. As her job takes place on the dark web it is quiet a good talent to have. Until a certain group wants her on their team
Evelyn was sitting in her dark bedroom sipping a cup of tea, she didn’t sleep much as her mind tended to run rampant. At the minute she was wondering if she should make a friend sometime soon. She knew human relationships where healthy and that surly they could bring some joy into her life, but at the same time she wasn't sure if she was ready to go back to being Emmy. The nickname brought back a waterfall of memories from being with friends at the mall, or family singing her happy birthday. Back then the name Evelyn didn't fit her, it seemed much too adult for the girl constantly laughing and making rather inappropriate or to some others offensive jokes. But it did fit a women who could kill someone before they knew she was even in the room. Being a master of silence and going undetected she had a sort of radar to know if someone was in the room, making it impossible for someone to sneak up on her. In under a second Evelyn had her gun out from under the pillow and cocked pointed at her bedroom door. “Well you surly don't disappoint” the man chuckled as he flipped on the light. Evelyn didn't put her gun down even as she examined the mans face. He had a rather soft expression but one look at his eyes you knew this man had seen some shit. “Ok look no need to go all Emily Blunt, I’m here to pitch you something.”
“Put your gun on the dresser” Evelyn said without missing a beat, nodding her head towards the wooden table next to him. He just raised his eyebrows and smirked as he removed the gun from his waistband and placed it on the surface. “Now that I’m defenseless I think you can put your gun down as well.” Evelyn did as the man asked and placed the gun down on her duvet and stood up out of the bed, she crossed her arms taking a defensive position. “Well, whats your proposition?” She asked
“How would you like to use your skills to do good in the world, and not have to worry about money” One started hoping to hook her in. Well it worked he officially had her full attention, “You know who I am, good job.” Evelyn tried to sound calm but really she was panicking that somewhere she messed up, how did someone find the person who seemed to be nothing more than a shadow. “Well I’ve know about you for a little while now, its kind of what I do, I find people.” Evelyn accepted that that was as much she was going to get for now.
The night continued with One telling Evelyn more about the whole 6 underground crew. He knew she was the prefect fit when she didn't even blink after mentioning having to fake her death, in fact her eyes may have even light up a little. Evelyn was so disconnected to society that making it more official didn't bother her at all, it actually seemed fun. She could be in her element of sneaking around her target, and no one would judge her.

The Shadows Playground Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Summary: Evelyn a college dropout has an odd talent for going unnoticed. As her job takes place on the dark web it is quiet a good talent to have. Until a certain group wants her on their team
Please read chapter 1 as it is the entire introduction to the main character
(if anyone know how I can put a link to it please let me know)
The group sat around a table at a small Mexican place. One had some thoughts after everything that happened in Hong Kong and on that dreaded boat. His main one being that maybe six people wasn't going to be enough to do the amount of damage they wanted as smoothly as they wanted. He had is eye on a women who made a living stealing and killing for other people. Despite this she had no major criminal record, only one breaking and entering from a number of years ago. How was she in this business for so long but no one seemed to even know it was her. Like Superman, except not as nice.
“Well I’m assuming you wanted to all meet for a reason?” Five asked “Or do you just want to have some quality bonding time?” She smirked and got a few chuckles from around the table. One just pushed a manilla folder onto the table and said “Meet eight”. Two was first to snatch the folder and look inside. On top was a mugshot of what appeared to be a teenager. “What is this shit” She spoke as she held up the photo and showed it to One. “It’s an old one, but it’s the best photo I could find of her”. Four took the folder from the blonde as he noticed the next picture was of a stolen painting from the National Portrait Gallery in London. He remembered reading about the heist in the papers. “She stole this?” He asked. One answered “You betcha, alone too and get this, there’s no evidence anyone was even there. You know other than the fact that the cameras where all blacked out.”
“The guards didn’t catch her” This time it was Seven who spoke up wondering what idiots worked the nightshift. One just kept simply answering their bombardment of questions “Well when the cameras blacked out one went to check the control room, someone had hacked into them and stopped all video recording. When the guard went back to the desk the other was knocked out and the painting was gone. The guard was put into a coma and doesn't remember a thing.”. No one could fathom that it was just one girl doing all of this. Four spoke again “Well, where is she.” He was officially interesting, He wouldn’t mind having someone he could relate to more on the team. “I’m going to pay her a visit tonight at her apartment.” One said evilly smirking as he remembered meeting Four.

The Shadows Playground Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Summary: Evelyn a college dropout has an odd talent for going unnoticed. As her job takes place on the dark web it is quiet a good talent to have.
****This whole chapter is to introduce the main character this story will follow. The 6 Underground characters will come into play next chapter****
Tumblr media
The world is quickly changing, everything is done online opposed to in person. Crime is no different, the dark web came into fruition in the mid 90s so the US government could exchange information completely under the radar. But the tables have turned and it is now a place for assassins and people of that nature to find work.
A young women with an even younger looking face went by the name Evelyn, of course the only time she was called that was back when she was a teenager and her mom was telling her off. She had a softer nickname but a soft name is not something she wanted in her line of work so she re took the stricter sounding Evelyn. Sometimes at night she would lay awake and think about how each one of her choices lead her to where she is now. You see Evelyn didn’t work a nine five, nor was she studying in grad school. Although those may have been some of her go to lies when an overly friendly person asked what she did with her time. The truth was she had her own little place on the dark web, mainly a thief for hire. If someone wanted a rare painting, or priceless jewels she was the one. You see in her high school years Evelyn learned she had a she had a knack for being unnoticeable. It started small, walking into a room and no one would notice unless she would speak to them. But that slowly grew to pickpocketing people and shoplifting. 97% of the time she would go unnoticed but during that 3% she could smoothly lie her way out of it.
When Evelyn was 20 she broke into her first house with her college friends. She’ll admit the job was sloppy and thats how she ended up with her first arrest. During that night in the holding cell Evelyn couldn't sleep. The feeling she had inside that house, the adrenaline was indescribable. She had found her very own version of cocaine but she knew in order to feed this addiction she’d have to work alone. Why not use the talent she was born with.
That same year Evelyn was called into the deans office and was informed that her parents had gone missing. But she was not to worry because a missing persons case was filled. Evelyn never did see her parents again and their place in her heart was taken by a feeling of resentment towards the police force, a resentment that could only grow.
After that year Evelyn never went back to university she studied the art of thievery instead. She didn’t know the full extent of what she was getting her self into but after a number months she had began to actually get clients. Saying that the people in this dark web business were dangerous was an understatement. Thats how Evelyn wound up with a number of scars, but over time she learned how to stop loosing fights so badly. Eventually she could actually win them, and she could now add assassin to the “services” she offered.
When Evelyn turned 24 she found a sketchy apartment complex in Brooklyn where should could get a place no questions asked, no more living in that beat up Subaru.
