< Chai would smile to Coffee glad the awkwardness has cleared up, as she turns to leave for the counter she couldn't help the pep in her step... >
< On the outside she was calm, composed, and collected. Internally? Well... One could say she is bouncing off the walls. >
< There's something about a Coffee Guy approving of a blend you made yourself that just makes life a tad better.... Even if he wasn't a god. He is The Coffee Guy. >
[Coffee made an effort to get up early and put himself together to Go Touch Grass. He was still feeling half asleep, and the cafe wouldn't need to know it was his breakfast and not his lunch, but he was showered, combed, and dressed, all at a much earlier hour than normal. His hair was still a little damp. He wore a soft brown and white plaid eyepatch he made himself out of some PJ pants that got too frayed.]
[Oakly had given him the directions of where to go, and such, he found his way down to a little cafe. His legs already ached from the walk. He took in the appearance of the building before slowly approaching and moving to open the door.]
<The place itself was a quaint little place, cozy looking though had no specific name branding. Stepping inside he'd be met with a standard for a cafe, tables lined up along the windows, a couch placed in a darker corner, with a few other tables strewn about with cozy lookin chairs... Oh hey, there's a cat over there! The air was scented with peaches, blueberry, and caramel. >
< Up by the front there was a young woman who was wiping the counter, focusing on a particularly tough spot with the rag when the doorbell rang. She'd the rag back in its' bucket behind the counter before turning to him, lacing her fingers together as she stood straighter all topped off with a warm smile.>

< Ohhhh Latte is the world's best kitty..... She is all about these scritches...... Just chillin' away in Coffee's lap. >
< Now for the drink... it's still hot, and the ratios of cream to sugar are certainly a bit less than average, giving him a bit more of the coffee flavor that may have a slight cinnamon aftertaste? This is Chai's personal coffee blend, after all... It was quite dark, but not overly, so like he asked. It's. Decent for machine coffee with added espresso. The espresso was at least pulled properly. All in all. Tastes like coffee. Not bad nor extraordinary. >
< Chai would give Coffee a smile and a slight wave... She truly does hope her coffee is up to his par. >
If you need anything, do lemme know... I'll be here all day.

< There are no cares to be had as The Coffee Guy™ lifts up Latte. Just contented purring with her leaning up slightly to nudge him with their cold, wet nose. She kneads the air, squinting and the cat equivalent of smiling up to Coffee. >
< It's not too long before Chai comes out to the scene, she chuckles softly and personally walks over and sets his stuff down on a nearby table. >
Her name's Latte, by the way... I'd also watch out because sometimes she does bite when she gets overwhelmed. Never too hard, but it does startle some...

< From the looks of it, Latte's a torbie black stripes with nearly all the colors one would expect of cats orange, browns, greys, blacks, and white. Another note, she was ALL about these scritches almost rolling outta the chair into Coffee's lap. Very happy baby that Latte was, squinting all up at Coffee, smiling, even purring... Though she had a squeakier purr than most, still managing to be extremely loud. >

Alright, I'll have that ready for you shortly then, Coffee.

< Chai would write down word for word, nodding along. He kind of reminds her of an old friend back in school, was really particular about their coffee and how it was made. The thought brings a smile to their face. >
I'll have to see what I can whip of for ya then. You should lemme know if it's just plain awful, so I can know whether or not we should just chuck the machine altogether.
< She'd laugh a bit at her own little joke. She really wouldn't mind the criticism, though. There's always room for improvement, after all, and he does seem to be the coffee expert here. >

< Chai notes down his order and gives the coffee a second. >
Well, I personally think the coffee's pretty good it won't be the best you've tasted, but I can whip up something real nice for ya. We've got some espresso, an italian blend, classic, and I believe some blonde espresso. Other than that we've got a decent selection of just plain ol' drip coffee. We've got a pretty good breakfast blend, french, dark, light, and medium roasts.. We may have a darker roast somewhere but last I checked those were all we had with a few flavored coffees as well, hazelnut, mocha, french vanilla, so on though we also have the syrups.
Usually we put our coffee in one of our two machines to brew, I can pull you a shot of espresso or two, or three and I can mix it up for ya with whatever you choose. As for the coffee machine, nothing you wouldn't expect-- could do you for a stronger brew if you'd like?

< Chai shifts a bit in place, maybe she shoulda stepped back for a second. The guy just came in... Well, shit. She would seem to zone out for a moment before kicking back into customer service mode. >
Well, I'd suppose that depends on what your general taste is, though generally as of late most popular items were more floral teas, cherry and orange blossom for some, matcha lattes being a year round for a few particular guests.... Iced coffees as well, feels like a given... Alot of people enjoy the french vanilla flavor in particular.
When it comes down to food I can't say anything of substance, we've had brownies and cookies... in terms of actual sustenance it's sandwiches. Egg and cheese in the morning, ham n cheese in the afternoon though we have other options-- traffic slows down in the evening and people are usually looking for desserts.
< She would pause for an awkward moment after her lengthy explanation, trying so hard to not squirm though she no doubt was kicking herself in the foot. That was... probably too much information. Poor guy's just tryna look at the menu... Oh no......... >
But uh-- it's about personal taste again, really...

< Latte peacefully naps upon a stool right beneath a plant, ear twitching at the sound of someone new before shifting so her paws were over her eyes making a small complaint, likely at the door bell's disruption. The person up front also would've gave a wave with a light chuckle to herself, nothing to do with him just something to ease of their own awkwardness.>
Hope you've been having a good day so far, what can I do you for?
< The menu was on a chalk board right on the front of the counter, there were a different varieties of teas, iced, lattes, hot, take your pick. There was also some note in green from forever ago about the espresso machine up and running again. Even then though, drinks containing coffee was severely limited to a few iced drinks and hot drinks. On the other side there was a list of pastries, cakes, donuts... Nothing really worth having a "good" breakfast with aside from a cheese danish, omlette bites, or a toasted sandwhich (Still considered snacks by some though). On the otherhand, the treat of the day was a peach puff pastery. >

Yeah.... Have a good day sir. Stay safe..

*He turned to the noise, face still full cringe as he sees this poor excuse of a Halloween scare.*
