Cosmiques Couloir - Chamonix, France. I skied the Cosmiques Couloir on the North-West face of the Aiguille du Midi the past two days. Cosmiques is 800 Meters (2,600 feet) of 45-50 degree powder skiing!

Free Black Crows Demo Skis @ Grands Montets all week
I went to Les Grands Montets for 3 hours of skiing this afternoon. It was probably the most fun in a short time I have had while living in France. Got to sample next year's newest Black Crows ski: the Nocta. I'm not sure what the underfoot was but it was at least 125mm, making it very wide.
It rode in the fresh powder at the top of Grands Montets very nicely. Its performance on the piste was lacking, I think because it is so wide. Very fun in powder though.... I want it! Finished the day skiing the moguls as fast as I could to the slushy bottom of the mountain on my old skinnier Rossignols. Great afternoon. Pics to come.
FYI - Black Crows are named after the black birds (Choucas) that fly around the high Alps. They are supposedly the souls of dead skiiers and climbers. There are many flying around for the 60 or so that die in Chamonix each year
