This makes me so fucking mad

The new SMG4 episode, The Lil' Fellas, has references to someone's fan made MxM (Mario X Meggy) kids that Mario is frequently holding, thanks to Medi.

For the last fucking time, MxM by definition is a pro ship because while they may currently be close in age, Mario is incapable of aging, but Meggy has been aging this whole time. They met when Meggy was 15 and Mario was 25. Mario is still 25 and Meggy is almost 23. She's one of the few characters that can age, alongside SMG4 himself. Mario knew Meggy as a teenager while he was an adult. Dating someone who you've watched grow up is weird as fuck.

If they had met within the past few years, it would be okay, but they met back in 2017, almost 8 years ago, and that's a long time for a young person. The age they were when they met matters just as much as the actual age gap. Besides, Mario and Meggy have very sibling like behavior in many episodes. Them dating would be weird as fuck for that reason too.

God, I still love this series, and I really enjoyed this week's episode, because Mario being so caring to kids is just the cutest thing to me, but having someone on the team support this ship despite how problematic it is, it's uncomfortable to say the least.

Something additional that disturbed me is the fact that Medi lightened Bow Girl. She's originally a black character but he changed her appearance to look similar to a MxM fankid. I know light skinned people exist but that is definitely not the case here since she was changed to be based off a white character.

In case y'all don't know in the latest SMG4 episode the two kids Mario had been protecting and caring for were recolors for Mario x Meggy fankids. And was confirmed by the person responsible for this.

This is unacceptable.

And Luke has stated they hate this ship. Yet they have someone on their team doing this and have done nothing about it and now it's crossed a line.

Completely valid 👍 These are just my own thoughts and interpretations on why Puzzles had been depicted like that. Even though do I agree it could have been done better.

I absolutely loved the friendship Leggy and Puzzles had. Showing more sides to his character was great!! I am 100% for showing more sides to villains. Make them more rounded, give them dimensions other than "evil antagonist".

I should have phrased it better. But when I said “tone down the silly”. I do mean with Puzzles himself, not the show. 😭 A big complaint from fans was that he was acting more silly than before in the Memewave arc. Which I do agree with. He went from a menacing antagonist to cartoonish villain. And while I do enjoy silly villains myself, I did feel like it was a significant change from what we previously saw in his character.

As for the ability to plan being tossed out. While I do kind of agree to an extent. I wanna say that Puzzles was still planning/scheming even then. But since he had practically nothing after his loss in Puzzlevision. Couldn’t do a whole lot.

Because first he tried to infiltrate join the SMG4 crew to take over help improve the show. Then a few months later had the plan to break into the Comedy Zone and gain popularity that way. After that Puzzles stole Mario’s mustache because he saw it held power and wanted it for himself. Each and every one of these plans had failed.

Then there was "Mr. Puzzles Lowest Point" Which literally, was his lowest point. Every previous attempt had regain power had failed miserably. He resorted to making content farm videos just to get something. But even that didn't do anything. His biggest break being when he took over Didney and created Puzzle Park. Which, we saw how that ended.

(Sidenote. I do wish the plotline with the amusement park wasn't "an old childhood dream that wasn't mentioned before until now". And instead used as another way for Mr. Puzzles to get popularity/fame, and thus gain power.)

About not waiting for the right moment to strike like before. Yeah, yeah I agree. That was definitely something not utilized in his character. I want to say that Puzzles was simply not willing to wait potentially years again to try and get back to where he was before. The idea of starting all the way from scratch not appealing. But I will also admit I know there's a chance that the team might've brought him back early because of how popular he was. (do not take this as fact. this is an observation)

But I did enjoy the Puzzles and Leggy dynamic. I'm just a fan of characters being fleshed out in general. However thats a talk for another day.)

I don't think anyone ever considers the fact that Puzzles fits into the "how the mighty have fallen" trope. There was a reason why he seemed so "pathetic" after the movie. Puzzles had quite literally had lost all his power. He no longer had his audience. No ratings to give him power. Had lost his complete control over everything. Puzzles had fallen from grace, and he fell hard.

Could it have been executed a bit better? Yes, definitely. They could have toned down the silly aspects. But I wouldn’t call it outlandish to see him flounder for a bit like that.

Had to go check something real quick because the color of the cell felt very familiar to me.

We only see the interior of the prison Puzzles is held in briefly (not the room she is in, but the hallway just outside it). And while it has a different texture. They do have the same colored walls.

For reference, the rest of the prison has gray brick walls. Only the section Puzzles is in specifically has the beige walls. So maybe it is possible that they’re in the same section of the building? 👀 (or at least fairly close to each other)

Alright small theory time

Yknow how after the PV movie last year it only took four episodes for Puzzles to appear again

Because of the teaser after this last movie (SOTC), I was wondering if the same thing was gonna happen and we’re gonna get something with Puzzles and WPNZ the fourth episode after (next week)

And I said that before today’s ep, which gave me some further leverage due to a certain someone’s first appearance this year:

We were chatting back and forth about him appearing today in the official Discord server for the show, and since the theory that Puzzles and WPNZ will be recruiting other villains (with Marty being the most obvious pick) is a relatively popular one, we of course circled back to it;

Notably with him ending up back in jail at the end.

So a few of us there have gotten the idea that this episode acted as a way to get Marty back in jail, where Puzzles and WPNZ will soon recruit him and break him out (which, if my prediction about the four episode gap is right, will be next week)

This is merely a prediction, but I’m excited to see if I really was right about this >:3
