Cross x Talk 03: No.1 Popular!? Close Friends Combination - Daehyun x Youngjae

- Q. If these 2 are going to form a subunit, please think about the style of your music, what song would you like to sing, what costume would you wear, and also your group name -

YJ: The group name is…”イタズラッコ”(In Japanese) means “The Mischievous Boys”. Because Daehyun and I like to be mischievous even when we are at the dormitory, this name sounds rough and clean which I think it is quite good.

DH: For the music, could be softer than B.A.P’s usual style…Nope, should be in B.A.P’s style…

YJ: Which, which one do you want? (laughs)

DH: Ah, shouldn’t our music style be something sounds soft, like R&B, or ballad, seems like this would be suitable for us.

YJ: You are struggling in between~ Daehyun (laughs)

DH: I still couldn’t decide (laughs)

YJ: (Laughs) For me, I agreed about this. Songs that people would listen to when they are going home from work place or school in the evening? It won’t be too noisy, without too much sounds input into it, a little bit Minor Chord in the melody would be great, I want to work for this kind of music.

- Q. So, please tell us what kind of fan service would this duet group wants to give to the Japanese Fans? -

DH: I have a lot to show! For example, in Korea, there is a well-known song named “ヌネコッ(Nunekot)”, originally is a Japanese song named “Yuki no Hana”(In Japanese, “雪の華”(The Flower of Snow) sang by Nakashima Mika) right? Ah, it’s famous right?

- It’s a really famous song (laughs) -

DH: I want to sing this song once. If we sing this song to Japanese fans, I guess they would be really happy (laughs).

- This is actually a “Must sing song” that Korean artists will perform when they have concert in Japan. (laughs) -

DH: Eeee? Really? I really don’t know… Then we better choose another song… Let me think about it…(laughs)

YJ: While Daehyun is thinking, it’s my time (laughs). Daehyun and I really like to talk, I want to perform in front of a small group of fans in a venue like small theatre, where we can have some conversation with the fans, I want do this kind of events.

- Q. Besides of music, what do you want to try? -

YJ: Why don’t we try to do Japan’s “Comedy” or “Comic Dialogue”?

DH: Hahaha, that may be nice (laughs)!

- Q. There are a lot of fans especially like “Daehyun & Youngjae Combination”. Besides of “Good Visuals” and “Good at singing”, can you think of other reasons why you are so popular? -

DH: No, no, no, there’s no such thing. (laughs)

YJ: (In Japanese) “生まれつき!!! (We’re born with it!!!)”

DH: What is that? I’ll go with that anyway. (laughs)

- Q. It’s going to be White Day very soon. If the person next to you received a chocolate from a girl he likes during Valentine’s Day, what kind of present do you think he will give back to that girl during White Day? Please imagine about it. -

DH: When we did photo shoots for our fan meeting in Korea, Youngjae was really handsome at that time! I think it would be great if Youngjae wears that good looking suit and give that girl roses.

YJ: Ah~ah (laughs)~(put his hands against his mouth) You know about that.

DH: So…what about me? (laughs)

YJ: Because of Daehyun’s masculine personality, he is not the type of person who would say something very romantic, only when he is singing, it would be different. That’s why he should show the feelings that he couldn’t use words to express by singing a sweet serenade, isn’t it?

DH: (laughs) Ah~~That’s good! That’s good! (laughs)

YJ: (Putting their arms around their shoulders and pat each other) So, Daehyun, have you decided which Japanese song we should sing yet (laughs)?

DH: Ah…So should we sing songs like “カマ二 ヌヌル カムコ”? (Hirai Ken’s “瞳をとじて”(Close Your Eyes)

- Maybe this is also a “Must sing” song as well (laughs) -

DH&YJ: Ah~~Ah~~(laughs)
