I don't really get why people deny the canonicity of double exposure because it's literally the sequel to the first game and a continuation of Max's story. Just because you don't like the game doesn't mean it's not canon lmao.

but that's the thing, definition-wise, double exposure is no different than a fanfiction; only difference is it got the funds to become an officially licensed game. i always felt the same about before the storm. having a whole different team of writers tasked to handle characters that aren't theirs leads to inconsistency with the canon material. michel koch himself talked about not recognizing his own characters when handled by a different team, recently:

the same logic applies here: most the fandom rejecting DE as canon doesn't stop you from liking the game, but it's very telling that the original creator doesn't recognize his own characters.

friendly reminder that these girls canonically have no canon sexualities besides sapphic and the discourse surrounding their sexualities is getting real old. lesbians are not stealing bi representation, and bisexuals are not stealing lesbian representation. we're all allowed to have our piece of the cake.
