Captain Squad on a roadtrip get lost and end up driving through a sleepy little desert town with some... Odd features and after getting turned around and lost as all hell, finally they think to stop for directions and Ushijima gets out to speak to a local at a bus stop and the others watch in increasing horror as this stranger begins to morph and change and smiles with a million razor teeth and their hearts are pounding but Ushijima seems... Fine? Calm. They watch in tense fear as he comes back to the car and gets inside. Before anyone can ask, Ushijima says, completely deadpan: "so he told me how I was going to die."

And then before anyone can ask, the radio of their car turns on on it's own and a voice says:

"Dear Listeners, I've just been informed of some new visitors to town, how exciting! This is just a reminder, that pointing and shouting interloper is now considered a felony offense and you will be eviscerated for making eye contact with these strangers."

And Kuroo just starts screaming at Oikawa to floor it. As everyone makes sure their doors are locked.

While I will agree with anyone that says boomer memes are mostly awful... some very notable exceptions to this rule DO exist:

at some point you have to realize that you actually have to read to understand the nuance of anything. we as a society are obsessed with summarization, likely as a result of the speed demanded by capital. from headlines to social media (twitter being especially egregious with the character limit), people take in fragments of knowledge and run with them, twisting their meaning into a kaleidoscope that dilutes the message into nothing. yes, brevity is good, but sometimes the message, even when communicated with utmost brevity, requires a 300 page book. sorry.
