The question came from literally nowhere as Barty and Pandora walked up to the castle from their Care of Magical Creatures lesson; the only lesson they had together without the others.

Shocked, Barty turned to Pandora with a furious expression. "What the fuck? No!"

"Evan thinks you are," Pandora shrugged, looking completely comfortable with the decidedly uncomfortable conversation.

Shame and anger seeped through Barty's veins. "Why?" he asked softly, already knowing the answer.

"You won't be around him when he's with Alan. When they're kissing or holding hands, you get mad, Bee. He thinks-" Pandora started, eyes empathetic but beseeching.

"It just bugs me," Barty grumbled, looking down and kicking at a rock. "They're so..."

"Gay?" Pandora supplied, tilting her head to the side.

"No! It's not that!" he fumed, turning away.

"Then, what?"

He was quiet. Because he knew the answer, but to say it out loud made it real.

The honest truth was that it wouldn't matter who Evan was kissing. It mattered that Evan was kissing someone that wasn't him. And he didn't want to admit how mad it made him.

But of course, Pandora was as annoyingly perceptive as usual and quickly interpreted the silence.

"Oh," she gasped, "oh."

"Oh?" he asked grumpily, cringing internally.

"Barty, you should know...Alan wasn't his first choice," Pandora said gently.

It took him about five seconds to realize what she meant. But when he did, he suddenly wanted nothing more than to get back to the castle.

Regulus (whispering to Remus): Good job on the test today.

Remus (whispering back): Thanks shorty. Why are we whispering?

Regulus (still whispering): I want Sirius to think we're conspiring against him. Please look at him when you reply.

Remus (looking at Sirius): Messing with my boyfriend? Fun .

Regulus (also looking at Sirius): I'm glad you agree.

Sirius, sweating in fear: What are they talking about?

James, who overheard them but doesn't want to ruin their fun: Stabbing

Red string of fate AU but the first time James pulls at the thread lightly and Regulus feels it he gets absolutely paralyzed and on the verge of a breakdown because until that moment he’d been sure he was not destined to be loved by anyone.

After that (and because there was no response from Regulus’ side and James is a stubborn man), James starts to play with the string a lot and Regulus gets so used to the feeling that it becomes a familiar sensation that grounds him in the worst moments.

So when he’s at a party and James hasn’t played with the thread for a while, Regulus uncertainly pulls at it for the first time just to make sure he’s okay and James is very happy about it and also a little bit tipsy so he starts ranting without checking to the first person he sees, that being Regulus himself because they’re actually at the same party.

Just beat the Ender Dragon on Bedrock Edition (for the achievement, I normally play Java), and now my overworld's skybox is utterly cursed.

Legitimately a cool glitch. I kinda wish it was a feature.
