I just…why, as a roleplayer, would you even TALK to an villain character, or one that is canonically so powerful that they are universally feared and respected for it, if you weren’t going to acknowledge that? Do you just like, get off on making your completely vulnerable and human character, that should be pissing themselves, mouth off? Do you not realize how irritating that is for someone who has put time and thought into working out how to play their bad guy right?
Or are you really just so full of suck and limited in your writing abilities that you cannot comprehend how to actually make your character react in fear? There can be more than one kind of interaction you know. Characters can dislike one another, fear, and hate one another. Crack is one thing, but it gets really frustrating as an RPer to have your character’s actual abilities and position glazed over by characters that should react to it. Those of us that play powerful and feared characters, or villains, do it for a reason, and we put time and thought into how to pull them off. It’s obnoxious to ignore that. Go talk to someone that’s not a god or might as well be if you don’t want to deal with that.

Continued from here
@stark-enterprises
It was only natural to take a few steps back, Tony told himself as Loki dominates his vision. They’ve danced this dance before. The last time it had a more explosive outcome. Something Stark doesn’t wish to repeat anytime soon. “So what?..” he states whilst standing his ground, eyes now locked onto the one before him. Ignoring the unsettling feeling at the back of his mind.   “Am I not allowed to presume? Because, let’s face it, the only time you have ever been anywhere near me, let alone this planet, is if you want something. Which I don’t have. So why are you here? I’ll give you thirty seconds before I call someone…” Tony isn’t entirely sure what’s keeping him rooted to the spot. Curiosity? Fear? There are some things that even he has trouble figuring out. Especially when it came to his own mind.
Long fingers reached into the breast pocket of the crisp white shirt and pulled out a rectangle made out of thick, slightly pearlescent cardstock. With a flourish, Loki twirled the card between his fingers before holding it out to Stark.
“I am here on an invitation.”, the card was indeed an invitation to the city’s charity event that apparently Stark had agreed to host in his little stronghold. “I know I am a little early, but I was asked here by the mayor’s assistant. I assure you, I am merely here to ... mingle.”

Note
“Oh, but you only assume that you do not have what I want.”, he’s towering over Stark now. Nothing of his armor is left now, instead he is dressed in simple black slacks and a white dress-shirt. It’s only his hair, reaching almost between his shoulders, that sets him apart from any other desk-slave in the higher levels of Stark’s tower. “And that is a little presumptuous.”
"If that isn't a surprise, Mr. Stark. Long time no see, as they say."
“”I’ve been busy. Clearing things up ” he replies a little sharper than he intended. “ I am not one to be the bearer of bad news… But I don’t think I’ve got anything you want. So why don’t you just turn around and head back off to Neverland?”
