I know Loumen had it rough raising Maomao because normal kids are already a handful.
But an extremely motivated and smart child, who would read your books full of dangerous information?
Oh it’s in another language? No worries. She would ask foreign customers to teach her their language so she can read the books. She can read it now? Damn, gotta have to burn those books then.
Young Maomao who would take poisons without second thoughts? Who would experiment on her own body without a care? Loumen prolly goes to bed at night with one eye open.
Other parents would prolly say: Dont follow strangers. Or the equivalent of dont take candies from a stranger.

The Apothecary Diaries becoming one of the most popular anime of its season had this hilarious side effect of guys who would not normally watch it picking it up and then leaving reviews like, ‘Wow, a good female anime character!’ (referring to Maomao) And it’s so funny cause like, sir, you have never seen a single (good) shoujo anime in your life and it shows.
