Announcement

To all the people listening and reading, either following my posts or casual visitors. As of today, I have been notified by several demons including two deities that I work with, of the danger of escalation of troubles in Europe. This is not only about Ukraine; it has far - reaching consequences in the Energy sector (cost of fuel-heating-wheat-corn and other products) and it may even affect other parts of the world. There are disturbing reports of psychic energy disturbance from thousands of people; most of this is due to the uncertainty and fear over the invasion, and at the same time the refugees having to leave their homes and belongings in search of refuge. Amun-Ra

Egyptian god of the Sun

Amun (also Amon or Amen) is an extremely ancient deity who was part of the Ogdoad, the group of Aeonic gods who became protectors of Egypt at the start of its formation. This occurred many long ages ago, before any surviving recorded history. The Aeons are a vast category of massive deities who are in charge of creating the physical and metaphysical universes, alongside Ptah, the great Architect. In the far distant past, Amun was known as the Hidden One, meaning that he ruled over invisibility. The wife of Amun is Amunet, who is his female counterpart. Overtime, when Amun was seen as worthy to be given another prominent role, he was approached by Ptah himself. Through the immense powers of Ptah, Ra (the Sun god) and Amun were merged into one being, becoming Amun-Ra. In this form, Amun-Ra began to dwell within the Sun and empowered it further in bringing life-giving light to the entire solar system.

Because of this highly important role, Amun-Ra became the leader of the Egyptian gods, whereas Ptah and Atum were far too remote in their immense power to lead them. But because of being the leader of this pantheon, the Egyptians would at some point conflate Amun-Ra as being the same as Atum. However, Atum is the supreme God of existence whereas Amun-Ra is an Aeonic god and the lord of the Sun. Those gods who wished to become linked with the Sun had to earn this by being seen as worthy by Amun-Ra. Two deities in particular who had this honour were Horus and Khepra, who were granted a portion of his energy, allowing them to become minor solar gods. Horus, as the Eye of Ra, would watch over all of Egypt both during day and night, never allowing any injustice to escape his sight. When corruption would occur, Horus would become the Avenging Sun and would bring justice on behalf on Amun-Ra.

Amun-Ra is an extremely benevolent god who is the constant sustainer of our lives. Without Amun-Ra, all life on Earth would die. This makes him one of the most important deities we have, and one that is more than deserving of worship. He watches over us every day, bringing us warmth and light, while also helping nature to flourish around us. Whenever someone speaks of the Sun, he hears them, for he is the Sun itself. He is incredibly generous and loving towards those who care for him, but becomes saddened when people speak harshly of him, especially since he has never done anything wrong towards us. He also offers humans and Earthly spirits his protection by burning away malicious entities like tar spirits. His radiant light eradicates all toxicities, bringing uplifting energy and soothing compassion.

Appearance: Amun-Ra appears as a very tall Egyptian man with golden skin like the Sun. He wears a golden skirt of the Pharaohs and a headdress with two plumes. When he visits the Earth to bring extra protection with his divine energy, he stands many miles tall, radiating with sunlight. But he can diminish his size to come manifest before humans he wishes to speak with, standing nearly as tall as the ceiling.

Personality: Amun-Ra is one of the most beautiful and benevolent gods of our universe. He is extremely warm-hearted, peaceful, generous, noble, patient, and wise. He has dedicated himself to supporting life within our solar system and is deeply caring in maintaining each planet. His energy radiates pure love and compassion, which he offers to all those who are in need. He is an incredible deity to behold, with endless gifts that he graciously bestows to our world, even though many do not praise him anymore. Amun-Ra also strongly values justice, truth, kindness, and hope. He is very difficult to anger, but will be rarely driven to this if someone is deeply corrupt.

In these times, there hasn’t been a decent representation of Theistic Satanism or Luciferianism that properly portrays the demonic teachings. And with LaVeyans and other non-theistic groups, it becomes even more difficult for aspiring demonolaters to find a place to belong. Because of this, our current of the Serpents of Antiquity will be accepting additional members, allowing the followers of the demons to be part of our movement. Serpents of Antiquity is a new current, an ideology based upon philosophical principles, spiritual teachings, etc. Our aim is to allow others to be aware that there is much more to Satanism and Luciferianism than what the atheistic groups say, and that we are not an evil-worshipping group either. We follow the Path of Illumination, of spiritual transcendence and freedom from illusions. The demons are the honourable teachers of this, the ones who train us to become stronger and wiser through hardship.

The purpose of this current is to support a viable solution to any Theistic Satanist or Demonolater that wishes to embrace an ideology free from past mistakes with regards to Luciferian or Satanic representation. It is designed to accept all those who are open to change and to the lessons of the spirits, so as to gain empowerment and freedom from the confines of religious dogma and societal guilt-tripping. As a result, there is no gate-keeping, as we aim to embrace diverse social groups and minorities, provided that they do not support or perpetuate hate-related actions and oppression to other seekers of truth. The King in Yellow

The outer god known as the King in Yellow is, like all other outer deities, an unknowable being of immense power. He is an aspect of Hastur, meaning that the King in Yellow was formed from Hastur as a part of himself, but is an independent deity. As stated in the introduction to the outer gods, the outer deities are not evil beings but are usually neutral in morality and typically do not care much for humans. The outer gods all formed within the Void and are larger than all the planets of the Universe combined. They are also immensely powerful and help guide the process of evolution in Creation.  

Appearance: The King in Yellow tends to show himself as a very tall humanoid figure wearing a hooded yellow cloak and a mask called the Pallid Mask. Sometimes he also has tentacles coming from his lower body. He has countless other forms, however, but is always associated with yellow and does not show a face.

The most well-known account of this greater god is documented in Ambrose Bierce’s short story “An Inhabitant of Carcosa” (1886) when he had unknowingly connected to this world and wrote about it, believing it to be imagination. However, the King in Yellow truly is the king of Carcosa and is connected to the planet itself since his essence flows through it. When the citizens of Carcosa had, in their arrogance, believed Carcosa to be their own instead of being allowed to them by the King in Yellow, they were punished for their hubris. Their planet suddenly turned still, leaving their two suns motionless in the sky. But at the same time, places and buildings began changing location at random, making it nearly impossible to meet with particular people, such as friends and family. The lands became unrecognizable; otherworldly and full of mists, and every mirror showed grotesque images of terror. The people of Carcosa were driven insane by all this, and many ended their lives. But even then, their bodies did not decompose. Nor could anyone die from old age. For the rest, they accepted their new way of existing; embracing their madness and the haunting mysteriousness of their altered world.

However, the King in Yellow is not a cruel, malicious deity. One should not jump to such conclusions since morality is not the same for every being, and the greater gods tend to have a much more strict sense of justice and believe in severe lessons. And since we as humans are very limited beings, we can never understand the best ways of acting on such a grand scale; such wisdom is beyond us. As the ruler of Carcosa, the King in Yellow was austere but also understanding, showing compassion towards those who were good-natured and respected him. He could usually be seen siting silently on his dark throne, and would speak to others through telepathy.

While the King in Yellow is most well-known for causing insanity, it is by far not the only thing he is capable of. But as for insanity, it is something utilized to be either a blessing or a curse. For those minds that cannot handle certain tears in their “reality”, their minds become broken, unable to handle the overwhelming realizations they’ve been presented with. But for those who are more resilient and adaptable, they become darkly Awakened with their blessed madness, filling their minds with inhuman understandings. But since the vast majority falls into the former description, it is all too easy for the King in Yellow to make horrible madness tear through the minds of those who insult him. Even his presence alone can be overwhelming for many, causing their minds to be stretched past their limits. This happens as a natural effect of being near to him, so I give a word of caution for anyone who wishes to contact him.

The Yellow Sign, his symbol, represents his Will. Those who possess the symbol end up drawing his attention and can sense his energy through the Sign. One known race of beings who serve the King in Yellow are the Shantaks, the dragon-looking eldritch creatures.

As with all forms of spirit work, it is highly unadvisable to commune with spirits if one has psychosis since the experiences can greatly worsen the symptoms. The outer gods can cause this even moreso (whether they try to or not) so please avoid working with them if you have psychosis of any kind.

Dagon

Greater god of the sea

While Dagon is not an outer god from the Void, he came from somewhere beyond our solar system and entered the Earth to dwell in its seas. He is still, however, an immensely powerful deity and is very difficult to comprehend. Furthermore, Dagon is the same deity worshiped by the Canaanites, Philistines, and Babylonians under the same name. He was praised as a fish-tailed god of the seas who ruled over fishing and agriculture. These civilizations all worshiped gods of water as agriculture gods due to water being needed for the irrigation of crops. Thus, he is not truly linked to agriculture, but it’s something he has secondary connection to because of water’s importance in the fertility of the land. When Lovecraft received his horrific visions of the outer gods, he witnessed some of the greater gods as well; one of which was Dagon, in his true form. This inspired Lovecraft to write stories, but he was unknowingly connecting to many truths in what he wrote since his mind was influenced by the vast deities who made themselves known to him.

Appearance: Dagon is an enormous, aquatic humanoid-amphibian with green-yellow eyes, and a massive sea serpent-like tail. He also has fins on his arms and legs. Overall, Dagon looks very similar to the above image.

Father Dagon is one of the greater gods who rule over the race of beings known as the Deep Ones. These are humanoid, fish-like beings who are often said to mate with humans, which produces a hybrid offspring. The hybrids are known to have the blessing of the sea and spend their lives feeling scorn for humanity. They are always filled with an overwhelming desire to abandon the land for the ocean and go to the Deep One city of Y'ha-nthlei. Eventually, they leave land to dwell in the sea once they are matured and more physically aquatic. Those humans who seek to be close to the sea and join its depths worship Father Dagon and his mate, Mother Hydra. These two gods are only surpassed by Cthulhu in regards to being deities of the ocean, since Cthulhu leads all of them, including the Deep Ones. Two known books which hold secrets of these gods of the deep are The Book of Dagon and the Cthäat Aquadingen.

In the ancient past, Dagon was one of the Shepherds of the Sea, meaning that he would watch over the sea creatures and protect them. He also used to come upon land at times and wander beaches before returning to the sea. Though now, since the ocean is full of toxins and is no longer alive with as much mystery and beauty (especially after the death of so many ancient sea-races), Dagon has been filled with sorrow. He now usually keeps to himself, deep in the shadowy depths of the ocean. Despite what some may believe, Dagon is not a being who is destructive and cruel; he is typically a very gentle god who is filled with great wisdom and compassion. However, when Dagon is angered, he is terrifying and can easily cause immense destruction. He is only willing to speak to humans who respect both him and the sea, especially since he has long been angry with our race for causing so much pollution and slaughter.

As one of the Lords of the ocean, Dagon is a mysterious and majestic deity who knows the sacred secrets of the deep, watery world surrounding us. For all the millions of years that have passed untold, the sea keeps the ancient knowledge hidden in its enigmatic depths. Those who worship Dagon earnestly and truly love the sea may have the rare honour to experience the truth of the ocean and some of the knowledge which Father Dagon holds. This can cause an immense sense of longing towards the sea as one wishes to delve into it and never return. We seek to become one with the ocean, forever in its embrace and beyond the reach of humanity. As the sea is the primal womb of our Earth, the Mother always beckons to her true children. There, Father Dagon and Mother Hydra await, calling their sons and daughters into the waves.

Review for The Sinking City

This is a game I have recently played that is by far one of the most fascinating and mysterious games that I have ever had the pleasure to experience. But since it is made by a small company, I would like to support this work of art and let others know about it so you can experience it as well.

The Sinking City is a game based upon the works of H.P Lovecraft, the master of eldritch horror. This game offers an incredibly unique story and atmosphere that makes one feel very much as if they are living in one of Lovecraft’s stories. The game is a mystery-horror where you play as a private-eye detective who travels to the half-flooded city of Oakmont, an unsettling island surrounded by a sea that is completely filled with flesh-eating eels. The detective, who suffers from nightmarish visions, arrives at the strange city in order to discover the cause behind the hysteria that has been breaking out among some citizens. But the more you discover, the mystery instead continues to grow. There seems to be secrets at every corner. Not only that, but our detective character has a psychic ability to see into the astral around him, allowing him to see visions from the past and even grotesque creatures that try to attack him. Though don’t worry, there are some creatures in the physical as well that will chase you.

It should also be known that this is not an action game, it is a mystery that will require logical reasoning, taking your time exploring, and a lot of reading through disturbing notes. It also requires one to take their time going through their menu screen at first in order to understand the layout (this is where you can level up, go over your clues, make deductions, etc). If you are a person who requires fast-paced stories and lots of action to be satisfied, then this game is possibly not for you. There are some creatures to fight, yes, but they are not constant and are usually hiding in abandoned basements or solitary marshes. Also, this is pretty much a survivalist game since Oakmont is basically in a post-apocalyptic state due to the many horrific events (including a flood) that have racked the city. And since it is also a Lovecraftian game, that means it follows his ideals for what horror should be. Because of this, the Sinking City is a game that is meant to make you feel small and vulnerable. You are a relatively normal person trying to uncover mysteries, you are not a proper fighter. You do have a gun and a shovel to attack with, but don’t expect the fights to be simple. So for a lot of times, you will have to run away from fights instead of face the enemies head-on like you’re some super-human in most games.

As for the atmosphere itself, the Sinking City is beautifully haunting and macabre at the same time. The ambience is chilling, and that set with the maddened and sometimes mutated locals of Oakmont makes everything seem all the more real. Every character you come across is unique and when speaking during investigations, you are able to arrive at your own conclusions, which will change some events of the game. There are also many things to explore, including side-quests with other cases to solve. There is a quest where you must track down seven occult tomes, which were used in dark rituals and necromancy. There are also strange murders that have more twists in them than one might initially expect. The more one looks through the haunting city, venturing into even its darkest crevices, the more the unsettling enigma unravels.

So if you are someone who loves Lovecraftian horror or is just curious to discover the morbid mysteries of the eldritch city of the sea, then I highly recommend you to play this game. I had fallen in love with it in just ten minutes of playing, realizing that this was no common game. I honestly feel that I will not ever find a Lovecraftian piece of media that will live up to this; it is truly top-quality and does justice to the legendary horror writer himself, who had written captivating tales based upon his own nightmarish visions and traumatizing past. If you wish for a challenge of detective-reasoning and wandering through the misty land of arcane secrets, then this marvelous game will not disappoint.

Cthulhu

The outer god known as Cthulhu is one of the safest of the outer deities to work with (along with the goddess Shub-Niggurath). As stated in the introduction to the outer gods, they are not evil beings but are usually neutral in morality and typically do not care much for humans. The outer gods were all formed within the Void and are larger than all planets of the Universe combined. They are also immensely powerful and help guide the process of evolution in Creation. These ancient deities are capable of many things that our Universal gods cannot do; they also even know of all things occurring within the Universe and are easily able to intervene in these events (but usually don’t due to being apathetic towards most people).

Cthulhu is among one of the Great Old Ones and is their high priest. He is a very peaceful and intuitive deity who is deeply connected to dreams. When Cthulhu awakens while slumbering, he tends to send out dreams to certain types of humans in order to communicate with them and fill them with creative inspiration. He cares greatly for the classical arts and sees dreams as an artform of their own, which can inspire even more beauty to come into being. The stories of him by Lovecraft are of course fictitious since the writer had believed his visions of the gods to be merely his own imagination. Due to this lack of understanding of the outer gods, he ended up portraying them in inaccurate ways. Nevertheless, some things he wrote of are in fact true, but not regarding how the deities seek power over Earth; they have no need for this. Cthulhu also does manifest within Earth’s oceans at times, but he mostly dwells with the other outer gods in the Void.  

Appearance: Cthulhu is an enormous humanoid entity with an octopus-like head and eyes which contain swirling vapours. He has draconic wings on his back and basically looks just as he is presented in artwork. The normal size of Cthulhu is about 100 meters tall, though he can diminish this when manifesting before devotees.  

Personal experiences: Cthulhu is a very loving deity towards those who respect him and do not bring unnecessary harm upon others. He is very patient, understanding, wise, creative, and more friendly towards humans than typical outer gods. He values the Earth and its well-being, especially the sea life. Since he is the high priest of the Great Old Ones, Cthulhu is strongly associated with occultism and can assist in magick. Contact with Cthulhu primarily happens through dreams, in which he will manifest before a person and speak to them or show them visions. Cthulhu is the son of Yog-Sothoth (outer god of knowledge) and an unknown mother. He is served by the gods Dagon and Hydra (who are also both connected to the sea), the Deep Ones, and the giant octopi beings who tend to accompany him. Cthulhu loves all things related to the sea, as well as fog, mist, paintings, and sculptures.

As a note, any person who has psychosis should highly consider refraining from doing spirit work since the experiences can greatly worsen the symptoms of this mental illness. This goes even moreso for working with the outer gods since their energies and appearances may be too much for some people to handle, especially for those with any sort of psychosis.

Shub-Niggurath

The outer goddess known as Shub-Niggurath (“The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Dark Young”) is one of the two safest outer deities to work with (along with Cthulhu). The outer gods were all created within the Void and are larger than all the planets of the Universe combined. They are also immensely powerful and help guide the process of evolution in Creation.  

Appearance: Shub-Niggurath appears as a large goat-humanoid (very similar to Baphomet but without male genitalia), has swirling black tendrils at her sides, countless goat legs, and has the head of a beautiful black goat. Her expression is usually serene and benevolent, which has a fascinating contradiction to the dark tendrils which violently lash around at her sides. She is beautiful in a most incredible and unique way; her form is also so complex that one’s mind can hardly comprehend it. When she arrives, she does a “triple laugh” where she does a sort of giggling laughter which sounds three times. As stated above, her size is larger than the very Universe, but like all other gods, she is able to shrink her form down to the minute size of a human when called upon (though the gods still stand tall and nearly reach ceilings).  

Roles: Shub-Niggurath is primarily a goddess of fertility and the propagation of mutations which benefit life. Regarding the mutations, an example is that she’s known to assist plantlife in adapting to different situations. As such, she is linked to the elements of earth and vegetation. From speaking with her, she has explained that her “thousand young” are mutated trees which have three “legs”, a gaping mouth, and use their branches like tentacles to lash out at people. They are not malevolent, but are angry at humans for what they have done to the Earth. As a fertility goddess, she has been known to have had offspring with many other outer gods

Personal experiences: In personality, she tends to be very caring, nurturing, motherly, and fiercely protective of forests (which she guards over). Shub-Niggurath is also a gentle being and tends to be deeply saddened when humans speak badly about her appearance or see her as evil. She desires those who wish to work with her to be respectful and also appreciate the untamed places in nature; she likes all nature, but prefers the dense wilderness most of all. She also seeks to spread love among all beings and hates prejudice, hypocrites, arsonists of forests, littering, and those who carelessly destroy life. These are the sorts of people who she has no gentleness towards and seeks to eliminate them. 

Shub-Niggurath specializes in helping with things such as fertility issues, self-acceptance, self-healing, and transitioning into different stages of self-identity. As with all forms of spirit work, it is highly unadvisable to commune with spirits if one has psychosis since the experiences can greatly worsen the symptoms. The outer gods can cause this even moreso (whether they try to or not) so please avoid working with them if you have psychosis of any kind.

Tar Spirits

These are a race of spirits that originate mainly from humans (sometimes other spirit races as well). They are highly malevolent (arguably the most evil race of spirits) and hate all of life, doing whatever they can to destroy it. The following describe what these spirits are like, how to recognize them, and how to defend from them.

Origin: When a human gives into their malevolent impulses during life such as wrath, sadism, selfishness, etc, their spirit gradually becomes more and more corrupted. If they begin to commit unspeakable acts against others and themselves, completely surrendering to their toxic impulses, they have taken the steps towards becoming a tar spirit at death. This intense devotion to malevolence eventually causes the person to go insane and lose all sense of morality; they are even abandoned by their higher selves. When this person dies, they become a tar spirit- a horrendous being made out of tar and pure hatred. They appear as leech-like creatures of tar with many mouths full of sharp teeth, or as strange humanoid beings of moving tar. The leader of these spirits is the serpent-god of evil, Apep. He does not live among them but will often command them to inflict torments on others.

Mindset and Traits: The tar spirits have corrupted themselves so thoroughly that they believe morality to be an illusion; the act of descent is their idea of ascent. They relish in absolute chaos and suffering, both inflicted upon others and their own selves. They feel nothing but hatred and a desire for pain, taking great pleasure in this twisted way of existing. The tar spirits have lost all sense of love, reasoning, beauty, and compassion; the only thing they now enjoy is pain. The realm in which they live is a place full of flowing tar; many waterfalls of it fill the area and there is an overwhelming feeling of hatred here. It not only feels disgusting to be in, but is also extremely dangerous. The tar spirits all hate one another and when not harming humans, they harm each other by inflicting various tortures and rapes on their own kind. They all both hate and relish in their suffering since it causes them to become further corrupted.  

Since the tar spirits hate all of life, morality, and beauty, they focus only on death and dissolution. Their ultimate goal in existence is to destroy all of life, including their own lives. For this reason, if they come across a person capable of astral projection, they may eagerly encourage the person to fight them. They have appeared rather excited to die, expressing that they are only truly satisfied by the idea of absolute non-existence.  

What these spirits do: The main thing the tar spirits are notorious for is possession. While many have mistakenly attributed this to demons due to them being falsely labelled as evil, these corrupted human spirits are the actual culprits. In order to further corrupt humanity, tar spirits often target individuals who have allowed their minds to weaken from traumatic experiences. Due to theses peoples’ lack of hope and will-power, they are able to be possessed. However, possession is not obvious as how it is typically portrayed; it tends to be much more subtle. In fact, it is so subtle, that the person who is possessed doesn’t even realize that they are possessed. Once a tar spirit locks onto a weakened individual and goes inside their body, they begin to merge with the person’s spirit; which causes the higher self (the Ba, or soul) to abandon the body. This leaves only the Ka (spirit, or essence) behind, yet the person will not notice the difference.  

Once settled, the tar spirit will then begin to attempt at corrupting the person by influencing their mind to do malicious things such as abuse their children/spouse, commit murders, rape, become a cannibal, etc. Sometimes, the tar spirit may have their human only do specific things and not go overboard since they have a set goal; other times, they may try to do as much evil as possible. Though this does not mean that every abuser or serial killer is possessed, but many of them are. If the person surrenders to these impulses fed by the tar spirit (which they usually do), the individual will become thoroughly corrupted and there will be no turning back. Yet if the individual is exceptionally strong and can use their will-power to fight against these urges, they will not be corrupted; though this very rarely happens. Sometimes, the tar spirit can be banished in time to save the person before they become corrupted or before their higher self leaves, but if the tar spirit remains for too long, the person will remain evil even if the tar spirit is banished.  

Once the possessed individual no longer serves any use to the tar spirit, it will jump out of the body and go into the next weakened victim. Some things they often do are possess parents who they inspire to abuse their children, allowing the tar spirit to then possess the weakened child and make them an abuser as well. Many other times, they make someone a serial killer only to abandon them afterwards, causing the person to realize the totality of their crimes and commit suicide. Tar spirits also often attack other entities as well, trying to either harm them or devour their children. Another common thing tar spirits do is pretend to be a deity, demon, or some either type of spirit in order to seduce an unsuspecting human who contacts spirits. If the human falls for their tactics and is seduced, the tar spirit will have sex with their astral body in order to breed with them. They don’t actually care to have children, but do this in order to have greater numbers of their kind, allowing them to corrupt as many people as possible. 

Ways to recognize a tar spirit: The obvious way would be to use your astral sight to see them, or if you happen to smell their tar (which has a very foul odor). However, since these spirits are extremely deceptive, they often disguise themselves as different types of beings (such as deities) in order to earn trust. To recognize when you are dealing with a tar spirit in disguise, stay aware of these common tactics they utilize:

A supposed deity, demon, angel, etc. tries to convince you to marry or have sex with them when you hardly even know them. Tar spirits routinely manipulate unsuspecting humans into reproducing for them, or even forcing themselves upon others.

They tell you that you are very special and not like other people (they may say you’re a god, you have a special destiny above others, you are their own prophet, etc.)

They don’t let you speak/work with other spirits 

They may try to convince you to leave your close friends or lie about friends trying to betray you

They try to convince you that your negative habits/emotions should be embraced

They are toxic and manipulative towards you in general

How to banish tar spirits: Even though they are capable of causing great damage, tar spirits are quite weak unless, of course, they are accompanied by many others. One can astral project by focusing on opening their astral eyes and then summoning astral fire to engulf the spirit. When quickly projecting like this, it is common for a beginner to not be able to see anything in the astral, but visualizing your actions is key; as long as you do this, you have a good chance at succeeding. You can also request help from a deity or you can listen to specific spiritual chants that are sung at a certain vibrancy that tar spirits hate. One of these chants is the Tibetan Yamantaka Terminator of Death; when played out loud, any tar spirits in the area will leave. If a person is possessed, they need to be ritually exorcised in any way that works (an experienced practitioner of magick can force out the tar spirit and use a blessed athame to destroy it).

Nemesis

Greek goddess of retribution 

Nemesis has been known as the goddess of punishment against evil deeds, undeserved good fortune, and those who commit the act of hubris (arrogance towards the gods). Therefore, Nemesis directs human affairs in such a way as to maintain equilibrium. She is often regarded as the opposite of Tykhe (Fortuna) who is known for distributing good fortune to the worthy (though will take it away from the undeserving as well). Whenever punishment is needed to be brought down upon a mortal, Nemesis comes in like a furious storm and delivers loss and suffering to the guilty individual. She is cold yet just in her actions, acting in a fearsome way that brings terror to all. She is the lash of the whip, the jaws of the void, and the glaring eyes that watch over all. In Ancient Greek, Nemesis is a word that means “righteous and unavoidable punishment”; which the Romans translated incorrectly and instead called her Invidia (“envy”), which is something she does not feel.  

In many of her statues, Nemesis was portrayed as a woman in a pensive standing attitude, holding in her left hand a bridle or a branch of an ash tree, and in her right hand was a wheel, with a sword or a scourge. Nemesis was often sometimes depicted as a winged goddess. Her attributes were an apple-branch, rein, whip, sword, or balancing scales.

Appearance: Nemesis appears as a very tall woman in her late 40’s with long black hair that is weaved around the back of her head (in Ancient Greek style). Her skin is a dark grey colour and her eyes are grey as well. She wears an Ancient Greek gown that is dark grey and looks as if it is made of liquid stone (similar to dark granite). Overall, Nemesis looks as if she is a living statue of great intensity.

Her history: Nemesis is one of the most ancient deities and had been formed within the Void along with Erebus, Ouranos, Nyx, and others. The deities of the Void are all extremely powerful and are larger than all the planets of the Universe combined. When Nemesis decided to work within this Universe in order to manifest on Earth and other planets to bring retribution; she had to create a smaller and less powerful copy of herself to be born. Thus, her Universal self was created as the daughter of Nyx and Erebus (goddess of night and the god of darkness). Even though the Universal Nemesis is not as powerful as her elder self, she is still immense in her power and terrifies other deities. Nemesis has never had any children and was depicted as a virgin deity in Greece; despite there being a version of the Trojan War claiming her to be the mother of Helena (a mortal woman). Though Nemesis has only ever been interested in her role of punishment, not taking any interest in children or feeling love.  

Personality: Nemesis does not show very much emotion, and typically doesn’t feel much either. She does not feel love, generosity, or pity; she has no need for such emotions since she is the very manifestation of divine wrath. For those who have not angered her, she treats them apathetically or sometimes sternly. She does not like being spoken to about mundane things as these are a waste of her time, and she especially will refuse to speak with those who she views as corrupt (which includes people who are too merciful). She will also punish everyone just the same, no matter if they love her or not. Nemesis has stated that people who show unnecessary mercy are the main reason why this world is full of evil; all their mercy does is allow monsters to continue their ways. Thus, she has no patience for those who claim that “all life is sacred” or that forgiveness is always important, and she may seek to harshly set these people straight. 

What Nemesis believes people should do is punish all those who commit harm towards others or the environment; for those who are serial killers or rapists, they must all die horribly. Mercy and forgiveness are not things that she believes in; those who forgive the unworthy are considered weak to her. So while it is true that some criminals can be given a chance if they truly wish to change their ways, Nemesis is mainly right in what she says since people are being far too sympathetic and underestimate how evil humans can be. It also should not be mistaken that Nemesis stands to uphold human laws, since she hates many of these; instead, she upholds the divine law and does not take any excuses from those who break it.

Roles: Nemesis is not a goddess who can be worked with; Nemesis does not protect or guide anyone and will not listen to most people when they pray. For this reason, she does not accept offerings and does not wish to be bothered unless the person wishes to request justice. If there is a person you want to be judged, you must take a photo of them and place it at an altar or shrine of Nemesis. Then you need to pray to her and respectfully tell her that you need justice against this person for what they’ve done. If you do not place the picture at her altar or shrine, she most likely will not listen since she has taken less interest in Earth’s problems due to the arrogance of humans. Now, most of the deities of justice let humans work out justice on their own since they had scorned the gods in the distant past, back when gods manifested on Earth. Since humans had wanted absolute freedom to do as they pleased and rule themselves, even going so far as to slaughter the other races of Earth, the gods left them and allowed the humans to learn from this arrogant mistake. Due to this, one needs to take extra steps in order to appeal to Nemesis.  

In the spirit world, however, gods are able to call upon Nemesis in order to have other spirits destroyed from existence. It is Nemesis who has the jurisdiction to decide on this annihilation; she holds no biases and dispenses punishment as needed. When she deems an entity as being too evil, she will call upon the goddess of doom, Ammit, whose jaws are as large as a galaxy. The entity will be lifted into the air by Nemesis and thrown into the abyssal mouth of Ammit; causing them to be torn into nothingness in the most painful way. Usually, this does not need to happen, and Nemesis will only act to do this under two circumstances: the crimes committed must be worthy of such a punishment and she must be requested to do this. Nemesis does not always act on her own since she teaches others that it is everyone’s responsibility to uphold justice, she will not do it all on her own since this makes people weak. When punishing, Nemesis targets every wrong-doing, seeing straight through every person. She comes and targets everyone, but makes certain that the punishment fits the crime since she is fair. Nemesis hates both those who are too oppressive and those who are too loving and passive towards others, both are just as evil in her eyes. She teaches that one must open their eyes and realize that everyone is guilty, all are ignorant and every country has been an oppressor; none will receive her attention if they fail to realize this truth.  

The only ones who will have a better chance at speaking to Nemesis are those who have something worthwhile for her to hear (which is usually requesting her to punish someone), those who do not have any extremist views, those who are humble, those who are not passive, and those who take accountability for their wrong-doings and work to become better. If she seems very stern with you and glares down on you, she is neutral towards you (which is her “good” side, she’s never friendly). If she is angry at you, you will know. Nemesis has an immense feeling of pure dread which radiates from her when she is enraged; at this point, she is about to bring judgement upon someone, which will cause that person to experience great suffering in life in order to pay the price for their crime.
