There’s a thing perched at the end of the bed, crouched and leaning onto Martyn. The shape is fuzzy and sparking tendrils of smoke, like it’s struggling to keep itself together, a mess of dark colors blending into each other, except for the pair of dazzling pitch black eyes. A pair of shimmering wings curl into a dome, blanketing Martyn into shadows. Those eyes, gosh, Martyn feels like he’s looking into the void itself.
