i feel like she ended up learning how to use makeup from her older sister

speaking of which i think its like this. One sister who is like? a few years older, then her, then two younger sisters?

also i’ll probably stay vague abt exact birth dates since i like keeping a flexible timeline

i dont get any feeling of horribly bad tragedy in her history, unlike some of my ocs (oops)

Fleur is kinda aware of this flaw, but its a habit too. She’s a huge people pleaser, sometimes in a not good way? like idk it doesnt have to do with any huge traumatic exp or anything but she just likes being liked so she tends to act how she thinks the other person wants sometimes?

also i think she often finds it hard to share deep down feelings???

she’s very loyal and dedicated tho, and often uses her skills to like, bring to light criminal stuff going on? she cares lots abt people.She aslolike>?? is genuinely nice and kind, outside of trying to act however she thinks someone would like

she and her sister all learned self defense and fighting and stuff. one of them probably became a cop or smth

Okay so for now im calling her Fleur bc i dug up an old list of names from the depths of my blog and all I had on her was one sentence but

personality-

She’s genuinely a sweet person, and for the most part pretty nice. she can be mistaken for outgoing/extroverted, but really she just potrays that well? but she’s actually a bit of an inrovert in that she likes her quiet alone time.

She’s writer/journalist/reporter of some sort i think, but its not like shes super bubbly or asks tons of questions. She nice and casual and maybe kind assuming/charmingish?? and she usually doesnt tell people her job.

She’s good at like, acting and putting on a show. thid is both good and bad. good bc she can get people to talk to her by acting a certain way. but also bad bc she often semiunintentionally acts a certain way bc she wants ppl to like her

she can seem a bit of?/ idk spacey? but she’s honestly rly observant and good at reading ppl and seeing details

HSitoy? she was raised by her mom primarily. Her mother is an FBI agent or CIA or DEA or NCSI or smth??/ some kind of agent maybe. perhaps retired? she taught her daughter lots abt guns and fighting.

SURPRISE! In addition to the August Prompts this month, I wanted to give you guys a special bonus! This is the Gemsona Stats Sheet- a chart which you can use to evaluate your gemsona’s abilities and personality based on 15 different categories! This sheet serves not only as a reference for you and others- it’s a good way to get you thinking about your gemsona and working on character building! This is also great chance for you to flex your writing muscles and explain why you ranked your gemsona however-many stars in each category, and if you want, you can add a drawing of your gemsona alongside their stats!

✰ What Each Category Means ✰

Strength: In terms of physical power, how strong is your gemsona? Agility: How nimble or quick is your gemsona?  Confidence: How self-assured are they? (Either in their abilities or in themself?) Willpower: How well can your gemsona commit to a course of action and follow-through? Social Skills: How well can they interact with other people / gems? Charisma: How charming is your gemsona?  Stamina: How much endurance does your gemsona have? Creativity: How well can they come up with ingenious ideas? Empathy: How well can they understand and sympathize with other peoples / gems’ feelings?  Humor: How funny is your gemsona? Discipline: How well can your gemsona control their emotions? Intelligence: How well can your gemsona obtain and apply knowledge and skills? Perception: How well can they notice things others don’t? Luck: How well do things typically go for your gemsona? (Do situations usually work out in their favor?) Skill / Special: Relating to your gemsona’s special ability, a talent that only they have, or a hobby. Open-ended.

✰ How to Fill Out the Chart ✰

There are ten stars ranking your gemsona’s place in the category from 1-10, 1 being the lowest, 10 being the highest (and 0 being non-existent). The rankings are as follows: 0: Dreadful | 1: Very Poor | 2: Pretty Poor | 3: Poor | 4: Below Average | 5: Average | 6: Above Average | 7: Good / High | 8: Great / Very High | 9: Fantastic | 10: Outstanding

(Note about Fusions: If your gemsona is a 2-gem fusion, then each star counts as 2. For a 3-gem fusion, each star counts as 3, etc. Please note if your gemsona is a fusion in your post if possible).

Try to keep your total number of stars below 110! You can only max out 3 categories on the gemsona chart AT MOST. You don’t have to max out any categories if you don’t want to, but three categories is the limit. The reason? Overpowered characters are overrated and incredibly boring! There’s no need for you to max out all the categories in order to make a cool character! If you really want to make a gemsona who has 10+ categories with ten stars filled in (or 3 maxed out and ten of the other categories at 9 stars or something equally high) you can go ahead and do it, but keep in mind what I said before (and that your post won’t be reblogged to Gemsona-HQ). If you have a good reason for making your gemsona have more than 3 stats maxed out, I’m willing to listen. Please refer to the examples linked above to see some ways you can have a high-ranking character who still has balanced stats!

✰ Dos and Don’ts ✰

Dos: Balance out your gemsona’s stats! Maybe your gemsona has a fantastic sense of Humor but their Luck is horrible, maybe they’re Intelligent but they have awful Social Skills, you tell me! Have fun messing with the stats. 

Don’ts: It’s worth repeating- one of the most important things to remember when filling out the chart is Overpowered is Overrated! Giving a character abysmal stats and watching them struggle and grow is more fun than working with an overpowered character who is already at the top and has nowhere else to go! (That being said- I don’t recommend you give your gemsona all 1′s or 0′s either- try giving them a couple stars somewhere. There’s 15 categories: I’m sure you can figure something out!)

Topaz history

She was originally aligned with the homeworld gems, but defected after the triumph of the Crystal Gems, after being inspired by their loyalty to each other, since loyalty is important to her. 

She spent a long time fleeing and avoiding capture from the homeworld gems, eventually choosing to go to earth. At first, she planned on finding the Crystal Gems, but ended up doing other things. Namely, exploration. It was during this time that she reformed and took on a dragon form.

She still would like to meet the Crystal Gems.

Topaz

Name: Topaz

Gem: Topaz

Placement: Chest

Weapon: Claw Gauntlets 

Special Abilities: Pyrokinesis (Can create*, control and manipulate flames and heat), Fire solidification 

Appearance: Instead of choosing to appear as a humanoid form, she has recently chosen to appear in the form of an earth creature referred to as a “dragon”. As a dragon, she is roughly slightly larger than Lion, not including wingspan.

Personality: She is friendly towards others, but only a on a surface level. She dont like to talk about herself. She enjoys trying new things meeting new people, but would rather be in a position where she can observe rather than interact a lot. She is VERY private, and doesnt connect with a lot of people so she slow to make close friends. However, when she doesnt make friends, she is DEEply loyal, almost to a fault, and would probably defend them and excuse almost anything they did, even if they were in the wrong.

She’s like, very competitive too, and loves doing dangerous stuff. She’s not super reckless, but she’s also not going to hold back. Any time she’s challenged or if someone implies she CAN’T do something, she immediately just throws herself into the thing and desperately tries to accomplish it. She is a bit of an adrenaline junkie too, so to speak.She’s very curious, and enjoys exploration and investigating and discovery. She’s also kind of a hoarder, but not so extreme as amethyst. She mostly likes odd objects and shiny things.I think she comes off as aggresive, and is kinda? in ur face? But like i said she’s pretty friendly.On the other claw however, she likes picking fights. This conflicts with her mostly friendly self.

About her gem:  Topaz -Fidelity - November birthstone -Scorpio -Sagittarius - tissue regeneration, kidneys and bladder, enhances understanding. The name ‘topaz’ is thought to come from the Sanskrit 'tapas’, meaning 'fire’ . The Egyptians believed that Topaz would protect them from harm because they believed it was colored by the sun god Ra’s golden arms.Topaz has also been biblically referenced as one of the gemstones used to make the 'Breastplate of Judgement’ worn by Aaron. The Romans believed in a similar theory and associated Topaz with their sun god, Jupiter. In 1255, St. Hildegard offered a simple remedy for failing eyesight: steep a topaz in wine for three days and then lightly rub it over the eyes - Worn round the neck, topaz was thought to cure madness. Helps to correct disorders in the body, manifests health, promotes kindness, compassion, and empathy. Enhances awareness, helps a person to exert change in their world, good for manifestation of dreams & goals. Topaz is said to increase the wearers intelligence, creativity and wisdom, and can enhance one’s spiritual potential.

Form: Unlike most gems, she didn’t choose a humanoid form, instead she chose a dragon. Her dragon form has four legs and One set of wings. She has a long neck and powerful jaws, and is an orange/yellow/gold color.

Gem placement: As a dragon, it is directly on the center of her chest.
