The Chained Enchanter
The chained enchanter sees the excesses of Tevinter blood magic, the blinded Saarebas, the Dalish mage left to starve alone in the woods so there would not be one too many.
And so the woman hangs on, not with the delicacy of a clinging vine, but with a tenacity incredible in its intensity to the very institutions and values that demean, degrade her, glorify her powerlessness, insist on constraining and paralyzing her. She comes to serve those who aggress against her and her kind.
“I never worry darling: a leash can be pulled from both ends”
