Charcherry Weekly - Issue 255
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. I got rained on twice on the way to the store! Let's get to some significant news though.
Shareholder meeting
At some time this week, VoidCo. held a shareholder meeting, where a number of individuals who own stocks in the cursed company gathered around while the company's CEO, Page of Void Dylan [REDACTED], informed them about recent happenings. Present at the meeting was Queen Mab, Federation shareholder representative Dragfred von Karma, Franklin Mauvile of Mauvile Holdings (plus Gem the Sableye), Her Enigmatic Resiliancy, Employee 2951 Nikyukoi, and Majority Shareholder Bingduc'gogoria the Persistent One of the Silent Court. Together they discussed the recent downfall of the soul processing plant, across all timelines, against all odds, and what to do in order to recoup any losses. Reportedly, according to Mr. Mauvile, a branch of voidco in the Hoenn region had failed to gain ground after being stopped by former champion Steven Stone. Meanwhile, von Karma had alluded to the economic situation of the Federation, which had been depreciating as of late, with voidco stocks seen as publicly reprehensible, yet all the more lucrative to those who didn't care about ethical concerns. At least one doomed timeline was averted somehow, by unwise words left unsaid. Reportedly there are plans to rebuild the necessary facilities for the processing plant elsewhere. Also oddly enough, the Research and Development department had supposedly disappeared, presenting a problem for any hopes of developing new technology. An assisting employee by the title of SE-08 proposed a non-blender method of obtaining "orgone energy", which was put up for consideration. There was also a potential proposition for a transfer of past research on infinity energy, under particular terms that may or may not still apply, due to Mr. Mauvile being appalled by the process by which Sausage Is Made (sausage in this case being blended orgone). It was after this that The Persistent One said some disagreeable statements, which were then minced by the interpreter to keep the peace in the meeting room, until he could no longer stand the nature of the speech and visibly started to fight off a breakdown. After that, Mab reminded the group of meeting etiquette, and then proceeded to offer trades to other shareholders at the table, in case anyone wanted out or otherwise less blood on their hands. Business cards were offered as a result. A long pause was observed, until questions regarding reverse engineering badnik tech was floated. It was considered, but it was clear that re-establishing R&D would need to come first. The points of the meeting were reviewed, and a final reminder regarding the varied nature of void beyond the definition that benefited the silent court was floated as a cautionary tale. It appears that as a result of this meeting, VoidCo. may or may not be on route for major change, but that remains to be seen.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 254
Hello everyone, Nick Card here. Despite being friday the 13th, I have yet to see any slasher villains wearing hockey masks. I kinda miss my dad though. Let's get to the news.
At some point this week, there was a reported catastrophic failure at the soul processing plant, located somewhere in the VoidCo. headquarters, deep in the furthest ring. Reportedly, the massive 10-story tall "soul blender" device stopped working after a nokia phone was thrown into it. The glass shattered, the base caught on fire, and the eagle shaped lid melted in the fire. All of the souls that were being blended by the blender managed to escape the immediate destruction, but apparently they are still "swarming" in an angry manner, and have repeatedly refused to be re-captured for processing. Moreover, reportedly the blender will not be replaced for quite some time, as it would require a number of rare grist types to alchemize a copy. Most who I've spoken to agree that the breakdown of the processing plant's main torture device is good news. That being said, it is unknown if any reapers will be called upon to capture the swarming souls still haunting the facility. At least the nokia phone survived the whole ordeal.
Earlier tonight, your previous newsletter writer arrived in town for a few hours to obtain cheap groceries from the food replicator, in addition to their prescription medication. They managed to replicate so many large food items that the replicator at the bar n grill ran out of matter stores. Fortunately they had the courtesy to replace what they had used by feeding the recycler a couple hundred perfectly generic objects, which cost only one build grist, but register as being comprised of a number of common elements, including the copious amounts of carbon that probably ran out first.
In related news, a local rancher was given an early surprise gift for father's day. Reportedly he was moved to tears by the thoughtful gesture.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 253
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Drawing is hard in this heat. Let's do some news instead.
Crash-dab in the middle
Early this week, a polycule of young adults crash-landed on Desertia, comprised of four humans and a demon princess by the name of Helsya. Desertian President Katyleen Kitten gave them a warm welcome and let them crash at the AC Memorial Robotics Lab (with extra air conditioning) for a while. As it currently strands, they have mostly been reported to be spending leisure time together for the time being, as well as engaging in some rail travel. Further information to be gathered.
Dawn of a new era
Earlier tonight, Berry Tropica, an apparently attractively colored elgavan, was seen at the Unity Village Bar n Grill. Apparently they had begun training a pokemon. Reportedly they had visited the Unity Gym and their kirlia, Helmet, had been inspired upon seeing Gallahad the ghostly gallade. Running into Heir of Time Rise Emit, they were able to get some tips on things to do for their kirlia. Rise suggested a dawn stone, as Helmet was mentioned to be a male. It was around this point that Elgavan Queen-President Syne Wayve showed up, very much glad that Berry treated her in a relatively equal manner, rather than put on a pedestal as many others from elgava tend to do. She then offered helmet a dawn stone from her rare stone collection, allowing him to evolve into an average (but very happy) gallade! Berry thanked Syne for her generosity and continued on their way elsewhere. Reportedly Berry is the first seen civilian elgavan tourist found traveling on starter planet. Also, Rise managed to figure out an answer to a question that had been bothering them as a result of the brief meeting.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 252
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Summer is approaching...!
Early this week, your previous newsletter writer finally challenged the Crossroad City gym leader, Shrouder. With Quil the typhlosion volunteering to battle on Nick's team, Shrouder's team of dark types, including a murkrow and a nuzleaf, were no match for them. Shrouder presented Nick with the Obscurabadge, allowing them to use HM 01 CUT. It is assumed that Nick's party, the Level-ups, will eventually depart from Crossroad city and take route P-3 to Plainmeadow town in the south. When this will take place has yet to be decided.
Late at night, here in Unity village, Witch of Heart Cyrus had been seen hacking and slashing away at a watermelon with their trusty katana, the Key Ring. Reportedly it was for the sake of stress relief. There was also a great deal of yelling and screaming involved. Fortunately, nobody was harmed and everyone involved was safe (except for the watermelon, but that's a given). The remains of the watermelon were quickly eaten by a clutch of local wooper the next morning.
Rather recently, the scientists at Cradle's Rock Ectobiology Laboratory on planet Korous have begun working on an ambitious project to collect genetic samples from various temporics with rare generic variations across time to assist with later efforts in ectobiology. However, one of the targeted subjects ended up getting apprarifyed in the present rather than being paradoxified. Fortunately, this individual was unharmed by the incident, and was unwittingly rescued from an abusive guardian as a result of the accidental abduction. Reportedly he is being provided accommodations as he settles into his new life beyond the perils of the pre-reckoning world that he once knew. Names have been omitted from this report for the sake of privacy.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 251
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. The days are getting warmer again, I can feel it. Let's do some news stuff.
On monday, the Grand Junctionia College pokemon battle tournament took place. Attendance was relatively high, and the broadcast on Korogov tv reportedly had a lot of viewers. The crowds really started showing up after sundown though.
The earliest match of particular note was Chemistry major Cori vs Fermata Kobora of snake's mouth.
Cori had initially sent out Flop the poliwag, while Fermata lead with nidoqueen. They traded blows for a few turns, each hitting hard, but also holding on impressively well. Flop had been holding some eviolite, which contributed to this most likely. Burned to the brink, nidoqueen took out Flop with an earthquake, but could survive no longer than a single turn against Fluff the furfrou.
She was swapped out for qwilfish, who managed to poison Fluff on contact after a U-turn, which then brought out Foof the flareon. Qwilfish paralyzed Foof and was then swapped out for goldeen. Foof burnt goldeen with scorching sands, but goldeen had waterfall, and wasn't afraid to use it. Foof was quite bulky and was able to tank two super-effective waterfalls before taking out goldeen with a super-effective trailblaze.
Qwilfish appeared once more and was able to finish Foof off with liquidation. Cori's last pokemon, Fluff, was brought out once more, still poisoned. However, Fluff was able to make use of this with facade's status effect boost, plus a bonus on top of that for using up a normal gem. Somehow, qwilfish was able to hang on after that, but not much longer. a second facade finished the job and Cori claimed victory over Fermata.
The second match of note was Computer Science major June Egbert vs Stacatto Sidewind, also known as Carrot.
June sent out gengar, having borrowed them from a child that she often watches over on occasion. Stacatto started out with nidorino. Come to think of it, isn't this literally the matchup from the intro scene of the original pokemon games? Regardless, nidorino had the upper hand, due to having shadow claw. Gengar tried to protect themself, but it was a futile gesture in the face of such a relentless assault.
Upon gengar's defeat, June sent out her butterfree. Butterfree was able to finish the job gengar started with a well-placed confusion. Nidorino fainted and was replaced with weepinbell. This was short-lived, as butterfree had air slash and that took it out in one hit, but not before delivering a sucker punch.
The next noteworthy match was culinary major Chord vs desertian Economic Head gearBroker. Chord lead with Munchie the mawile and gearBroker sent out a spinarak tied to a floating balloon. Munchie soon crunched the balloon in her large mouth, bringing the tiny spider back down. they used bug buzz, but it did little against Munchie. These two pokemon took turns whittling away at eachother's health, until munchie finished spinarak with a draining kiss.
Stacatto sent out their recently evolved luxray, which then got bug buzzed stronger than their own super effective thunderbolt. But butterfree couldn't hold on forever. One body slam was enough to knock out butterfree.
From there, June had only cherrim in her corner. But cherrim was all that she needed, able to knock luxray out with a leech seed and a powerful petal blizzard. June won her first hard-earned match of the day here.
Stacatto proceeded to spend the rest of the day with their co-worker Fermata, who had also been eliminated early on.
gearBroker sent out clodsire, who then proceeded to wipe out munchie with a very powerful earthquake!
Chord recalled the fainted Munchie and then sent out Spike the seaking. Spike tried to use surf, but not only did it not damage clodsire, but it also healed the small amount of damage they had. Clodsire retaliated with a powerful gunk shot. Spike tried to strike back with a super-effective ice beam, but it wasn't actually very effective. Spike was done in by a second gunk shot.
Chord sent out Piedrake the appletun as their last pokemon. Clodsire tried to use earthquake, but it barely made a dent. Piedrake managed to get gearBroker's alolan persian out in clodsire's place via dragon tail. Persian tried using trailblaze, but all it really did was raise its speed. Piedrake soaked the cat with apple acid until it finally fainted.
gearBroker then brought clodsire out one last time. they were no match for a well placed dousing of apple acid.
Chord won the match and continued to the semifinals.
An intermission of sorts took place shortly after.
While multi-regional champion Brae Emit had been giving intermittent lessons on various moves and special items, it would soon be time for her sibling to show up and show off the newest member of Korous's defense force.
Dragon Tamer Rise Emit arrived dramatically and called upon Ophion the rayquaza with an elaborate looking ocarina. They then proceeded to demonstrate Ophion's moveset, even displaying her mega evolution during dragon ascent!
Brae swapped Gene out for her shiny lapras as the perish trap's timer ticked ever closer to the end. With a trick room from Evanescence, lapras was able to sweep quickly with surf. Any who didn't go down from surt, wound up fainting from perish song. As a side-effect, Ophion fainted as well, but Brae offered a full revive rather quickly.
After successfully showing off her capabilities, a number of members of Team abyssal emerged! They attempted to confiscate everyone's pokemon, but Brae was there to defend the audience with her new team. Computer science major Skye also pitched in, opting to fight without any pokemon at all.
Brae sent out Evanescence the gothitelle with the shadow tag ability, as well as Gene the politoed, who then proceeded to use Perish Song on literally everyone in the arena. Brae referred to this strategy as a "Perish trap".
The abyssal grunts were largely ineffective, despite their numbers. Brae stalled them with a double protect.
Some had the dark idea to try and attack Ophion, but Gene called for an encore on their nasty plotting, leaving only a few to even try to attack Ophion. She managed to wipe out a few enemies with dragon pulse in retaliation.
Team abyssal attempted to escape, but Skye managed to trip and impede them with the contents of her sylladex. She even managed to captchalogue some of the grunts. Skye alerted the local police and handed over the occupied captchalogue cards soon after.
With this, the situation was considered solved, as there were none in team abyssal left in the condition to fight back in a meaningful manner.
demolition major Forte faced off against Chemistry major Cori, but was ultimately done in by his own self-destructive strategy.
In the semifinals, June Egbert faced against Chord. June started with cherrim while Chord lead with spike the seaking. Cherrim was able to wipe out Spike with a petal blizzard, after a brief leech seed.
Piedrake the appleton stared down cherrim, still reeling from the toxins. Cherrim tried to utilize this for a facade, but Piedrake was too bulky to be affected much. Piedrake bashed cherrim with a zen headbutt and let the toxic poison make it worthwhile. Before cherrim hit the ground from the second zen headbutt however, it managed to unleash a powerful dazzling gleam.
Munchie the mawile showed up next and proceeded to badly poison cherrim with toxic, after barely getting scratched by petal blizzard.
June swapped to Gengar to avoid getting cherrim knocked out to toxic. Munchie tried using draining kiss, but that wasn't very effective against gengar either. Gengar tried payback, but that didn't do much. Two crunches were enough to send Gengar packing, but not before they brought Munchie to the brink with hex!.
Cherrim stepped out to finish the job with petal blizzard.
Butterfree was called upon to finish the job. It only took one bug buzz to defeat Piedrake.
Chord conceded after running out of pokemon and June moved on to the finals.
Cherrim was sent out next, starting with a leech seed. Foof tried scorching sands, but cherrim barely got hit with it. Cherrim used dazzling gleam, but it was ineffective in this situation. Foof leveled the playing field with endeavor, but still fell to leech seed.
The final match was CS major June Egbert vs Chem. major Cori.
June sent out gengar and Cori sent out Foof the flareon. Gengar body slammed Foof and she retaliated with flare blitz. However, gengar's cursed body managed to disable flare blitz before gengar fell, and just performing the move did a number to Foof's health.
Cori sent out their last pokemon, Flop the poliwag. Despite holding eviolite, two air slashes was all it took to subdue the little tadpole.
Fluff the furfrou showed up and hit with a dark pulse, doing enough to knock out cherrim.
June sent out her last pokemon, butterfree. Fluff tried dark pulse again, but butterfree tanked it. Butterfree countered with bug buzz, which almost hit half. almost.
Fluff upped his defense drastically with cotton guard, but it was the wrong kind of defense for the occasion.
Butterfree somehow managed to hit harder with bug buzz, just enough to take Fluff out.
And with that, June Egbert successfully won the tournament! She brought home a plastic trophy and a ribbon for each participant. Gengar's original trainer was bummed out to see gengar take such a beating, but resolved to celebrate gengar's cursed body instead.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 250
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. I finally got some major progress on my game project!!!! Now to resume working on the news.
At the very beginning of the week, Heir of Time Rise Emit arrived in Fort Aspara with a rayquaza by the name of Ophion. Reportedly, Rise has been tasked with training and handling this long green dragon, for the sake of protecting Korous from potential disasters. Being a well seasoned trainer of both pokemon and dragons alike, Rise has gotten along swimmingly with Ophion. Rise has amazed bystanders with the sheer care and expertise that they bring to the table. Because Rayquaza is a legendary, Ophion will not be on anyone's team for the upcoming Grand Junctionia collage pokemon battle tournament on the 19th, but reportedly Rise will be performing tricks in the air with Ophion at some point during the event to dazzle the audience with and explain Ophion's role as a protector. Reportedly, Ophion has the same stats as a freshly caught delta episode rayquaza and has the capability to mega evolve, thanks to Rise recently receiving a mega bracelet.
Early this week, Sylph of Light Niko arrived via train, having previously been lost wandering the furthest ring. After an amount of transfers, they eventually met up with World Machine Eddie, who was overjoyed to be in contact with an instance of Niko. Eddie welcomed Niko to his/her world and set them up with the starter house to serve as their new home. Reportedly Niko is glad to be reunited with so many familiar faces, having experienced the events of oneshot elsewhere in a different instance before playing the skaian game years later.
on the 11th, Desertian President Katyleen Kitten appeared in the middle of Desertia Square, apparently after completing an excessively long chain of trans-protection missions in the past. Being exhausted, she zonked out where she stood. An anonymous afterworlder troll managed to get her to the nearby hospital, where she successfully recovered.
Not too long ago, Gray Skaiason was suffering under the limitations of his "holo-shell" hardlight appearance changer. Appearing in the form of a winged humanoid figure had been chafing against his preferred appearance, causing unfocused magical sparks to appear around him. However, Katie and Samus managed to convince him that it was safe to disengage the holo-shell for a while.
After a day or two, prior concerns amongst the SPace II crew were assuaged and other elgavans proceeded to also disengage their holo-shells on a regular basis. As it turns out, they are largely quite floofy looking, having somewhat of a feathered raptor-like appearance--both bird-like and dragon-like. Your dear newsletter writer is glad that they feel safe enough to show their true (and not scary at all, kinda cute actually) forms in public now.

Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Got my bike tuned up to enjoy the excellent weather. Now let's get to some news.
Heated Pokemon Battle in Omicron!
A few days ago, a party was assembled to retrieve Zodiac from Alpha, deep inside planet Elgava. There were minimal difficulties and not only was he successfully retrieved, but another figure of similar scope, Maya, also joined the party to leave Alpha behind. On the way back however, two temporic Field Service Technicians in Omicron challenged each other to a pokemon battle, which prompted much of the party to stick around and watch the spectacle. The initial challenger was Fermata of Snake's mouth, with a Nidoqueen, a quilfish, and a goldeen. Their opponent was Carrot of Grand Nursery, with a Weepinbell and a Nidorino. Reportedly it was a sight to behold. Fermata's Nidoqueen proved to be a formidable ace, but it was Carrot's clever strategy that proved important, though not without struggle. Nidorino sustained significant damage before being faced by quilfish. Quilfish managed to take Nidorino out, though that was a victory short savored. Weepinbell made good use of type advantages, though did get shaved down to a degree. Fermata sent out Goldeen, nervous about their prospects, but determined nevertheless. Goldeen managed to evade weepinbell's assault for a time, but ultimately could not hide with dive forever. Carrot and their team proved victorious that day! The two tems shook hands after the battle, their bonds in rivalry firmer than ever. It is hoped that both will decide to sign up for the Grand Junctionia collage pokemon battle tournament, to grace the stage with their mutual passions for combat.
As a note, there was a date misprint last week. the tournament will not be on the 15th, it will instead be held on the 19th. please adjust your schedules as necessary. Sign-ups are currently open to any wishing to compete.
Midnight Station Repair Work
The Midnight Station, a space station having been reclaimed by Heir of Hope Hazell Serket and Her Enigmatic Resiliency, for the purposes of their continued campaign against the remaining pieces of the Control Loss Corporation, has been getting much needed repairs as of late. Thanks to the efforts of a fresh install of Sol (instance Δ-3393), the previously twisted timespace fabric of the station has been corrected. Hazell has reportedly been doing a lot of duct crawling to get particular hardware components installed where needed.
Train Station Upgrades
As of late, there have been considerable upgrades to Scarab City Central station. It now has the possibility of through running for all three train lines. So far, only the orbital line has gotten this in practice (up to Endcroak station), while the Lime line and the Wells line still have more work to be done before this is implemented for them. There is a series of diagrams that have been provided to illustrate the recent changes. They can be found here at these URLs:
https://file.garden/YJ4GVaMz-xKjrPWz/scc_before.png https://file.garden/YJ4GVaMz-xKjrPWz/scc_halfway.png https://file.garden/YJ4GVaMz-xKjrPWz/scc_complete.png
Unfortunately the DTA's website isn't currently available through esoteric means, so I have had to host the images on file garden, so all readers can see them.
Movie night
On Thursday, there was a relatively impromptu movie night showing of the Indie Cross series. Indie Cross is a series about a number of high profile independent video game characters that end up getting sent to various places and have to fight to survive. It felt very much like something that would be in the story mode for a smash-like that would feature those characters, though there is the notable addition of voice acting, which subspace emissary had in very short supply. The headlining characters featured in the first episode included Shovel Knight, Cuphead, the main protagonist of Hollow Knight (name highly debated), Frisk of Undertale, and Madeline (plus Badaline) of Celeste. The additional characters of the second episode have been omitted from this article for the sake of preserving the hype for those who wish to seek it out and watch it themselves. Currently there are two half hour episodes hosted on YouTube. Both of them were watched, though there were advertisements due to the YouTube account being used either unable to block them or not having premium. Regardless of the technical difficulties, the group enjoyed watching it together. Here are the links to the episodes in case you wish to watch them yourself: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MTdM4Q9NXg www.youtube.com/watch?v=q38QckV8NDA

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 248
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. There's something to be said about new glasses, but not here particularly. Let's get to some actually important news.
There has been a wide variety of extensions, expansions, and upgrades to various stations and lines across the railroad under the DTA. The Wells line has extended past Squidlantis to Xealeg, allowing for accessible commutes from Xealeg to Korous. With the addition of freight lines to and from Squidlantis, this has made it possible for the promised ocean refill project to begin. Before any significant efforts however, a series of carefully designed dikes have been drafted and constructed using SWEB building tech at Snake's Mouth. This will reportedly prevent coastal flooding, while still allowing for sea access. Back to trains, the Endcroak station has been expanded, with across-platform interchange between the Wells line and the Starter line. As a result, the old platform will now be used for the Orbital line, which also visits Park and Scarab city. Granted, the point where it arrives in Scarab City currently has a reverse in it, but further upgrades to the orbital line are planned. There are other active rail projects going on, but many of them are still too far under wraps to be discussed here quite yet.
On the 19th this month, Grand Junctionia Collage will host its first pokemon battle tournament. Entrants will enter three pokemon of their choice, with no legendaries or mythicals. Levels will be scaled to 50 during official matches. Slots will not be open for long so sign up while you still can this week!
As of late, the temporic known as courier 6 has been bonding abit with the desertians, to the point that she allowed herself to receive a new name. The name that stuck the best was Marie. Also of note, her desire to live on Korous was fulfilled and she was found a new home in Squidiantis.
The quilava traveling with Diamond is now called Quil, and now uses they/them pronouns. This change in personal understanding was so powerful that they gained two levels directly afterwards.
With the arrival of May, the Desertian election campaign season has begun. Official positions across the Desertian government will be voted on in mere months from now, including the Desertian presidency. The only known actively campaigning candidates for desertian president include the current president Witch of Time Katyleen Kitten, and the incumbent Electrolis. There are also countless other smaller positions across countless smaller regions of the Desertian teritory that will likely need to be considered during this season. Remember to check your local offices and send in appropriate material.
Project Delta is soon to be getting upgrades to ther central building, as well as a new interface in the north wing. Further details to be obtained on a later date.
Also of note, Time Denizen Zodiac has been found somewhere on Elgava. Further details to be received later as well.

Been finding it difficult to focus as of late. I may need to put up do not disturb signs on friday nights so that my train of thought isn't derailed so easily. Also it turns out the wand of blasting system is hard to setup for mass amounts and doesn't seem to work entirely anyways, so I'm gonna have to dig through another game (a snowball's chance) to take its projectile system instead. I just hope I can figure out how to translate it over from rgss1 to javascript, because the code looks like its pretty well compactified according to the heavy loads that the variables, arrays, and hashes that are called in the code. Now to get back to bed. Goodnight! https://letssosl.boards.net/thread/487/charcherry-weekly-issue-248
EDIT: the tournament date was misprinted, it will instead be on the 19th, not the 15th.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 247
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. The suns are shining and its time for some spring cleaning! Let's get to the news.
DTA updates
Rather recently, Skye returned from a holiday, and was greeted by a surprising number of applicants. Soon after, with various requests from various civilizations, they drafted out some expansion plans for the railway.
First of all, the (orange) orbital line is slated for an extension into scarab city, at very least. Scarab city also has plans for a metro network in the works. The Spaceport is slated to gain a connection to Elgava's ITS rail system. There are whispers of an entirely freight route, but without much known plans.
There are significant changes being performed in regards to stations and stops that are serviced by the Grand Line. Here is what it will look like after a number of changes are performed:
-- Grand Line --
─┬─ Brookford [Starter]
├─ Grand Junctiona [Starter][Wells]
├─ Park [Starter][Wells][Lime][Orbital]
├─ Neon City [Starter][Neon Express][Neon City Metro] (Taxis here)
├─ Spaceport [Starter][Lime] (plus space interchange) (plus services to Otherworld) (services to Elgava)
├─ Westmere
├─ Stratford [Orbital] (and Other Railway services)
─┴─ Sklurp New City [Lime]
Also, this is what the starter line will look like:
-- Starter Line --
─┬─ Brookford [Grand]
├─ Grand Junctionia [Grand][Wells]
├─ Endcroak [Wells]
├─ Park [Starter][Wells][Lime][Orbital]
├─ Neon City [Starter][Neon Express][Neon City Metro] (Taxis here)
├─ Charcherry North
├─ Desertia
├─ Poketopia (special services from here)
├─ Seasaw
├─ Spaceport [Grand][Lime] (plus space interchange) (plus services to Otherworld) (services to Elgava)
├─ Northfield [Lime]
─┴─ Southfield (and Other Railway services)
At some point, Xealeg will be connected to the wells line, after the squidlantis stop.
Various stuffs
The mage quest crew has reportedly been training most of the week. Cindy has managed to evolve into a quilava, after some battles on route P-1 and engaging in some research at the library. This unlocked some painful past memories, but her personal trainer Diamond was able to provide comfort and consolation.
Early this week, Earth Day was celebrated on many different versions of Earth, including the pokemon world, which is ultimately a reflection of earth. Your other newsletter writer reportedly cried the entire time, having missed our home as it was before the game.
Also, in other news, charles learned explosion from a technical machine.
Early tonight, the mysterious warrior in Desertia had received care in relation to her vocal capabilities. Thanks to the efforts of Periodic, the warrior could finally speak again. Reportedly she now goes by the name Courier six.
A few days ago, Creation Spirit Lady Thalassa had joined our memo. Soon after, she decided to visit and evaluate planet korous. Korosian President Thoren Emit lead her to Canyon City's ruins, where she had demonstrated her power to create an oasis.
Upcoming Events
The North Wayvneal Museum of Art will be hosting an exhibition of the works of Aerin Halsur (a Terris Elgavan commonly considered both Onworld and Offworld as the best artist to come from Elgava), for the entire month of May as part of a Cultural Exchange Program with Gene.
Grand Junctionia collage is going to be hosting a pokemon battle tournament next month. The exact details have yet to be decided, but it's meant to gauge the local interest in pokemon battling as a professional sport on Korous. It is likely that students will be prioritized during signups. Further information to be added later.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 246
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. I'm fully medicated and ready for action!
sticking my Xealeg out really far
Early this week, a small party of dungeon crashers descended into a voidco dungeon on planet Xealeg. Lead by Korosian president Heir of Time Thoren Emit, joined by Heir of Hope Hazell Serket, mobile assistant ∆-3392, Rogue of Heart Charles, and a mysterious warrior that had been performing resource runs there in the past. The mission itself was rather cut and dry, the party entered a maze and walked through it, only pausing briefly at the few splits to check the map. When they arrived at the core chamber, ∆-3392 pulled out her Big Fucking Gun and blasted the dungeon core to smithereens. As a note, the core had been hooked up to a very inefficient energy to matter food replicator, which had reportedly managed to replicate a single carrot in the time since the mysterious warrior had last performed a dungeon dive. President Emit has pledged to give the people of Xealeg a far better replicator, though reportedly needs to gather the supplies needed to trade for one from Afterworld, via their Resource Allocation system. In the meantime, with elgavan aid filling in the gap between, hydrolic engineers from xealeg have been preparing to begin tackling Korous's sunken water problem. While there is still much to be done, It is very likely that this will build stronger ties between these collaborating worlds. Also of note, it has been noted that the mysterious warrior happens to be a temporic, though her name is unknown. While it almost looked as if she was dead, it turns out she just looks like that and is very much alive. When offered reward for her services to the people of xealeg, reportedly she simply shrugged, likely only really wanting to keep going for who knows what reasons.
A long awaited send-off
on thursday, the mage questers finally decided to return to the pinto region to resume their pokemon adventure. However, Heir of Time Rise Emit had a specific reason to visit as well. Going back in time, they fulfilled prior business, now with the rest in their dusknoir's hands. Reportedly they have set up a communication system to contact dusknoir from long distances via a modified rotomphone. Currently the mission is in good standing, with further details incoming at a later date.
Regarding those actually going on the journey, the party was lead by your previous newsletter writer Mage of Light Nick Card, and joined by their version of previous johto champion HAZEL, half-dialga Diamond, and cindy the cyndaquil. Upon arriving in crossroad city, they reportedly got some hotel rooms, rested, and then trained their pokemon the next day. Their next goal is to defeat Dark Type Gym Leader Shrouder, though it is unknown when this will take place.

That should do it for this week. A mimiga recently moved to a place just right outside of desertia town, right at the beginning of sandstorm season. Meanwhile, I've slowly been trying to implement a "want of blasting" system that I had received from RMN member Marrend to make hyacinth shoot fireballs in my game. Also, something has been going on with Samus that may need to be addressed soon. For now, I must slep. Goodnight! https://letssosl.boards.net/post/8599/thread

Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. you ever have to share half your prescription with your alt self? it sucks. Anyways, time for news.
Get them a proper freaking day's sleep already!
Conclusion of the Meetings
Early this week, Knight of Space Zowera Careon was found collapsed in Unity Village, suffering from extreme exhaustion. He was taken to the pokemon center, where it was soon discovered that he has not slept in sopor slime ever, and as a result, has never slept a proper day in his life. Normally this wouldn't have been such an issue, but Zowera's personal history was so fraught from various harrowing adventures and hostile living conditions that sleep was made much harder to sustain. He was prescribed enough sopor slime to fall asleep in, contained in a childproof tank. Reportedly the treatment worked so well that he slept for a few days and woke up both refreshed and with a more refined sense of identity. Zowera now uses he/they pronouns as a result.
In other pronoun update news, The main version of Sol uses the/ther pronouns (other versions of Sol need to be asked individually regarding their pronouns), while World Machine Edison now uses he/her pronouns.
Kaboom!
Having gotten her much needed rest, Elgavan Queen-President Syne Wayve has gotten the time and clarity to sift through what exactly was achieved during the lengthy year-long meeting.
First of all, there was a 100% unanimous vote to retain current member systems of the EER. However, the name has also been voted and approved for change from the Elgavan Economic Republic to the Elgavan Economic Union, or the EEU.
There was an incomplete vote for the EEU to join the Union of Rail-Bound Sovereign Civilizations, halted by the Rift Clause (The Rift must be dealt with first before joining).
There was an incomplete but apparently high enough majority vote to ratify Gears as a valid exchange currency. Other policies with similar vote counts include providing funding for The Railway to access to EEU systems, and an emergency vote to provide assistance to Xealeg.
There were also some various individual policy votes that are to be kept confidential.
There was a 100% unanimous vote to modify public enemy list, and last but not least, a 100% unanimous vote to modify meeting schedule to be "As-Needed", rather than packed into a series of highly unhealthy "meeting year" sessions.
A few days ago, there was a minor dungeon core detonation in desertia town, after Grey Aerian had concluded a successful therapy session with Dr. Ellie Winters. He had destroyed a mini-core integrated mask that he had previously been using for self-harm. The blast was loud enough to be heard across town, but thankfully there were no injuries.
Movie review
Upcoming Events
Yesterday, there was the viewing of Koyaanisqatsi. Because Aeons was there and your dear newsletter writer was not, I'll let them take this over.
Aeons Edgeworth here. On the 10th I watched Koyaanisqatsi at desertia cinema. At first I was a little iffy, I admit, though once I sat down with the gang, it was a different experience than the few clips I had watched beforehand, alone at my computer. Its really the sorta audiovisual piece that works well in a communal watching setting, especially if you can talk during the playthrough.
The movie itself is basically an 80 minute long music video of intense and awe inspiring visuals, starting with ancient pictographs on stone, progressing to natural landscapes, and then slowly introducing manmade implements, starting with modern excavation efforts and proceeding to show the effects of industrialization, urbanization, urban decay, the rat race of city life, and it escalates from there, until a brief breather period, followed by an ascent and descent. The name of the movie is explained at the end of it, apparently being a term in the Hopi language describing an imbalance in daily life.
Witnessing earth's beauty and the bustling hubris of mankind... it reminded me of my time back on augataur earth. It wasn't quite the one I came from, but it was close enough to feel like home as an adult. Being a Prince of Time, witnessing destructive practices at high speeds feels par for the course, as if I had already seen such sights before.
But seeing it fresh, with friends, it felt like the message was more important than ever.
As the urban planner for Unity Village, seeing the folly of those who build cities and roads felt particularly poignant, as I basically have to plan that sort of stuff out. And seeing as Unity Village was meant to be a model town in terms of living together with pokemon (who need some sort of natural habitat to be happy), that adds a bit more weight to the message. Granted, there's the discrepancy of living with far less scarcity than was present in the 1980's, but the concept of needing to strike a balance hit hard.
If you do see this movie I highly suggest watching it with multiple friends, especially those with interest in photography.
I heard that it may wind up getting played again upon request, but anyone wanting to request will need to voice that in the dungeon crashers memo.
Overall, I give Koyaanisqatsi four hats out of five to keep it real.

The exact details have yet to be decided, but it's meant to gauge the local interest in pokemon battling as a professional sport on Korous. It is likely that students will be prioritized during signups. Further information to be added later.
April 13th is June Egbert's birthday. This year she will be turning 27. Another sharing her birthdate will be turning 19 on the same day.

April 14th is another private individual's birthday, turning 15.
A dungeon crashing group, separate from any festivities, will be visiting Xealeg to infiltrate its voidco dungeon on this day as well.

rubber duck stand

Okay, that should do it. Managed to get a little further on the game this week, but not very far.
I've been hearing something about plans for another potential dome town on desertia, though I figure its still pretty early to know all that many details about it.
There's been some buzz about stuff going on with the grand line, though there were a lot of details and they weren't exactly submitted for publication.
I'd really like to know when my double plans on going back to the pinto region. Don't they have like, a gym battle to focus on?
Seeya next week!

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 244
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. By some miracle, my pre-retcon self is still in town and the timeline hasn't imploded yet. Let's get to some real news now.
Ghalne your base are belong to us
Early this week, Witch of Time Katyleen Kitten and Heir of Time Rise Emit took a trip to planet Ghalne to take down a particularly prominent voidco dungeon that had once been in use by Lord Radiant. Escorting them to the site was Prime Minister Counter and General Alabaster Aerian. Reportedly, after exiting The Gardens, the party was forced to find alternate methods of breathing outside. They rode their landspeeder motorcycles until they reached the facility that was pratically one big core unto itself. Rise and Katie planted copious bombs in and around the facility, to make sure the job would be thorough. After evacuating, Katie activated the demolition sequence, apparently programmed to sequentially explode to the tune of the theme from Zero Wing. World Spirit Thalassa appeared soon after a black hole began to form from the site, and directed it to only suck in specifically the air pollution, before finally collapsing into nothing beyond the surrounding desert, a craterous hole, and one other object. As a result of the pollution being drawn in and away, the air in the area is now clean enough to breathe again. Many that had been affected by Lord Radient's past schemes expressed their gratitude to the dungeon crashers, now free of his influence upon Ghalne forevermore.
Leg so hot u fry an eg
Not too long after the success of the mission on Ghalne, Counsler Ariad sent a message addressed to Korosian President Thoren Emit, reminding them of the plight of planet Xealeg, reportedly unable to sustain crops due to a dungeon core's life-sucking influence, and the promise to offer powerful groundwater recovery technology in return. President Emit stated their intention to tackle the dungeon relatively soon, A number of days later, Heir of Hope Hazell Serket managed to perform some cursory scouting on Xealeg from her spaceship. She discovered that there were veins of angular abyseum attempting to reach out from the dungeon location. Fortunately it only seemed to reach out while within a certain range. Later on, Hazell and her on-ship assistant Delta-∆-3390 managed to find a mysterious warrior who had been doing dungeon dives for rations that had (slowly) been growing in the dungeon location. However, it had been determined that the amount found was not enough. Fortunately, a bumper crop had recently been observed on Planet Elgava, and as a result they were in a position to donate their surplus foodstuffs to the starving spiderpeople of Xealeg. Reportedly they should be getting the crop shipment from Elgava soon, if not already as of writing. Currently however, Hazel and ∆-339X have moved the ship into orbit, awaiting for the date that the dungeon will be at its most vulnerable, mostly spending the time focusing on bonding and purrsonyalization. According to a semi-anonymous source, the ideal day for the dungeon crashers to raid the place will be on the 14th. Heir of Time Thoren Emit plans on leading the party on that day. Please contact them if you plan on joining them on this mission.
Other Happenings of Note
On Thursday, April 10th, there will be a screening of the advant-garde art-movie Koyaanisqatsi. It is 80 minutes long and will begin playing at Desertia Cinema at noon, local desertia time. Be prepared for a powerful and possibly unsettling experience.
Also on that day will be Seer of Space K's birthday. I am unsure if they'll show up to the movie screening, but I'll at least try to get them something for the occasion.
Elgavan Queen-President Syne Wayve has completed her exhausting year of meetings recently. She reportedly plans to sleep all weekend to recover. Do not bother her until monday.
Earlier today, Ren Careon celebrated their 4th birthday. Reportedly their alt-pastlifeself, Thoren Emit, showed up to give them some presents and check up on their general development. They managed to bond quite well, as a result of Thoren learning how to properly work with children. They took a short trip to Karmic Joys magical toys in desertia square. It was here that stall owner Ghline Wayve gave Ren an animated plush fox, as long as they promised to treat it nicely with respect and dignity. This promise apparently worked, as the young child no longer was quite as reckless as before, instead taking the time to be careful for their toy plush's sake. They reportedly gave the plush the name Fuzzy.
Reportedly, a certain page of void just barely managed to not get defeated by hoenn champion steven stone recently. He was left with just one pokemon, after many many wasted revives, using every last one just to stay afloat. Reportedly, while he had lamented the fact that Steven isn't even attracted to him, finally winning in battle against him has given the seven foot tall bean pole a reason to finally forget about "the man that broke his heart", though some debate whether he even had one to begin with. Allegedly, he may be up to no good the next time he returns to hoenn. Stay on guard, as his team of pokemon are easily in the level 60 range, and they have just barely enough type coverage to take on nearly anything. However, if you span extremespeed enough time, he should blow a gasket when he can't even hit you first.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 243
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Sun and rain and sun and rain and aaaaaaaa... maybe I should have bought one of those "weather predicting devices" last week. Let's get to the news.
Full Set of Plates
Early this week, Heir of Time Rise Emit was called upon to resume their mission in Hisui to collect the remaining origin plates. It didn't take them long to successfully capture heatran and regigigas, to obtain the metal and normal type plates, respectively. The fairy type plate was collected after a wood collecting sidequest, which turned out to be for the purpose of replacing Lady Cogita's cutting board. Reportedly she had been using the pixie plate before getting a proper custom wooden one. It is unknown if the plate may have had a significant lead content or if it had flavor enhancing properties that are not linked to some amount of toxicity.
With only the ghost type plate to collect, Rise followed a particular ginkgo guild member to the Celestica ruins on Mt. Coronet and then proceeded up to the summit. It was here that Rise was challenged to a pokemon battle. The opponent had a very cynthia-esque team, with a sophisticated set of strategies for countering any enemy type advantages. However, Rise had trained their pokemon well and had a supply of max revives on hand.
Did you know that you could buy max revives back then? In most places in modern day, there's little to no options for that on the market.
After defeating the trainer's team, Rise was then immediately challenged by Giratina! It was a difficult second act, but Rise's pokemon pulled through, even after it shifted into origin forme! Rise's pachirisu, Cheese, was able to land a finishing blow upon giratina with a satisfying Crunch! This convinced the pokemon to flee and leave its ambitions of world domination behind.
After some business, Rise received the spooky plate, which the trainer had gotten from giratina in the first place. With all plates, Rise is now one step closer to completing their goals in the Hisui region.
A Traffic Ticket to Remember
A few days later however, the trainer they saw before visited them for advice. After a talk, Rise managed to deduce that the trainer was a transgender woman who had originally sought Arceus in order to be granted a feminine form, only to be lead astray by Giratina's corrupt machinations. Rise reportedly plans on giving her a transition potion at some point soon. They at very least gave her a chance to pick a name for herself. She chose the name Valerie. With the promise of her transition, she in turn promised not to cause any more potentially world-ending trouble.
It can be assumed that Hisui will be safe as long as Rise gets Valerie that potion.
HAZEL vs HAZEL
On Sunday, Heir of Hope Hazell Serket ended up getting a space traffic ticket while engaging in a registered military practice exercise, due to allegedly attacking a police cruiser. It has turned out that the police had been patrolling nearby without even communicating with her before getting hit with a dummy missile. Her Enigmatic Resiliency acted as Hazell's defence, but they both worked well together against the prosecution.
Being prepared to show the facts and the evidence, Hazell's case was soon dropped, and she was free to go without having to pay the ticket.
BLAZE was the first to get knocked out, having been hit by one too mny heat waves, while unable to land much of anything against PHOEBE. RIPPLE was the second to be toppled, HARRY landing a volt tackle against the water type. However, HARRY couldn't handle the recoil and fainted soon after. NIGEL was the next to faint, LUKE subduing him with a dose of Close Combat. LUKE also took out FREE!ANIME with Extremespeed, but fainted soon after, likely due to holding a life orb. TIMBER was bested by PHOEBE using fire spin. From then on MELVIN fought hard to survive, gripping his leftovers. MELVIN used payback on CATCHER until he fainted. MELVIN had a hard bout against PHOEBE, having to tank so many hits to exact his payback enough for thew charizard to faint. From there, HAZEL had only her FLOWER remaining. FLOWER tried to giga drain MELVIN, but it wasn't enough to keep him down. Swapping over to her own (FLOWER), she chipped away at her with earth power. With one final use of hidden power, FLOWER was subdued by her pre-retcon counterpart!
The two versions of HAZEL finally has their pokemon battle a few days ago. They decided to use the rotation battle format, with all pokemon set to level 50. A regulation level shifting device was used to make things even. Charles tried to replicate the level shifting effect psychically but ended up pushing himself too much.
Pre-retcon HAZEL's team was comprised of FLOWER the shiny Shaymin, LUKE the Lucario, MELVIN the Umbreon, RIPPLE the Bibarel, TIMBER the Tropius, and BLAZE the half Dialga (who willingly allowed (HAZEL) to direct them in battle).
Post-retcon HAZEL's team was comprised of FLOWER the shiny Shaymin, NIGEL the Glaceon, FREE!ANIME the shiny Gyrados, HARRY the Pikachu PHOEBE the Charizard, and CATCHER the Gallade.
The two trainers shook hands and (HAZEL) walked away the victor. All pokemon were fully healed afterwards. It is unknown how many bets were lost due to the results of this match.
Cherry Pit Challenge!
Friendship Friendship, again?
With the arrival of spring brings the arrival of the cherry blossoms in New Charcherry Town. And of course, the Cherrim sightings. However, there's also something else of note: Charcherry's largest inn, the Cherry Pit, has a challenge worthy of any cherry aficionado:
The Pit.
Thief of Light Vriskers Serket decided to take on The Pit challenge, initially not knowing that The Pit was even an actual item on the menu. However, it was soon staring her in the face. The Pit is a large red bread bowl (with the top!), filled with strips of steakfruit, swimming in a cherry/cheri berry compote. Reportedly it used to be a cherry/steakfruit mash, but there were changes to the recipe for texture considerations.
It took an entire hour, but Vriskers eventually ate the entire thing in front of the cafe crowd. Her photo was taken and was hung on the wall. She was also congratulated by her friends June Egbert and Skitis, who watched her eat The Pit at their table. Reportedly Vriskers had to fly in order to move after she was done.

The Friendship network welcomed two new members this week, The World Machine Edison and Desertian Economic Office head 彁 (gearBroker). Sol had spent quite some time working on Edison's avatar. They found one of those twisty looking CFL lightbulbs to hold. Reportedly they've been adding new regions to their world, with suggestions open. Train stations have also been added to The Barrens, The Glen, and The Refuge, just in case.
gearBroker didn't do much while in the Friendship network, but they did appear in the memo earlier this week, speaking entirely in katakana. Reportedly they are willing to give financial advice to those that DM them, as long as you aren't in the relative past.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 242
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Spring has sprung and apparently my pre-retcon double is in town this week. Let's get to the news.
As the Days Go by, Water Flowing Under
Early this week, Sinnoh Champion Heir of Time Rise Emit lead a team of dungeon crashers through a voidco dungeon located in Bean Cave in the Pinto region. On the mission with them included their sister, multi-region Champion Brae Emit, and Unova ex-champion Charles. Waiting at the site for them was your other newsletter writer Nick Card (with no gym badges whatsoever), ex-Johto Champion HAZEL, and mysterious companion Diamond (unknown amount of gym badges). They reportedly descended 108 steps upon entering the cave, before then running into a pair of junior rockets, who didn't even recite the team rocket motto properly. However, while they were distracting the party, a member of Team Abyssal had kidnapped Diamond. The party got the junior rockets to follow them, as those two kids were entirely out of their league, probably not even a single gym badge between them. Regardless, they spent hours wandering through caverns with landmines in at least two places. Fortunately Brae had a politoed with the damp ability, preventing the second one from detonating (the first one Charles had stepped on, but he got better.) At the end of the wandering, the party entered a monster house type encounter situation, largely comprised of psychic and ghost type pokemon. Fortunately, one of Charles's pokemon knew earthquake, which quickly dispatched of all the ground-bound enemies. It didn't take too long for the party to tackle the remaining combatants. The party eventually arrived at an underground river, reportedly with countless souls of the dead using it as a highway. Unfortunately, Team Abyssal, working with resources from voidco, had been feeding them all into a dam that they had built, which had been sending the transient spirits directly to a dungeon core. This dam was destroyed by the combined efforts of much of the party's pokemon, with Rise directing the final strike by convincing the river of souls to bash through the damaged dam by holding a scythe in an authoritative manner. This reportedly worked so well that all who were not literally chained to the ground at the dungeon core's location downstream were swept away to their doom. Aforementioned chained individual was freed from captivity and was offered both medical and comfort measures from Brae. Meanwhile, Rise planted a bomb to destroy the core and Charles smashed a particularly controversial capturing device. After installing the missing time gear, therefore repairing the flow of time in the pinto region, and sending the (ex)junior rockets back to town, the party returned home for a while. Reportedly, the other Nick will return to their gym challenge with HAZEL and Diamond in a few days, after HAZEL finally faces her counterpart in an anticipated mirror match.
Introductory FLARP Session
On thursday, Thief of Light Vriskers Serket finally hosted the initial session of her FLARP tabletop group at Gene's Garden. Reportedly a few of those that intended to appear weren't in the best state to show up, so only Rogue of Heart Charles and floofy hardware specialist Periodic showed up to roll their characters on that day. Charles plans to play as a human stand user, while periodic plans to play as himself, with his alt doomed self as a stand/imaginary friend. Both of them rolled the playknight class, which allows them to do this. Combat style had been decided to be puzzle-like with low stakes, for the sake of avoiding undue stress. Robotic miniatures will be used for play, crafted by Periodic. Setting will be shared between multiple planets, with a spacefaring battleship likely involved. To those that are still interested in joining, Vriskers has made the #DC_FLARPers memo, which anyone can visit. In-person meet-ups are likely to be once a month.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 241
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. I traded pokemon with myself and I'm not sure if I was ready for the results. Now for some news.
Frozen Core
Early this week, a team of dungeon crashers was sent to Brumal to retrieve a beta dungeon core that had been stashed away in a frozen cave on the winter planet for a relatively long time. The party consisted of Heir of time Thoren Emit, Witch of Time Katyleen Kitten, Rogue of Heart Charles, Floofy hardware specialist Periodic, and their escort, a private individual. They dived deep into the cold waters with the help of Brae Emit's lapras. Fortunately the dive move kept all passengers dry and safe for the duration of the ride. Upon reaching the cave where the core was stored, the group worked together to extract it from the ice. The party then captchalogued it, to later be dealt with in a far less chilly location. Reportedly this is a step in a timeloop Thoren is following, as well as a past mission that Queen Mab had once issued to the group.
Union happenings
Reportedly, desertia has purchased a number of spaceships for raiding practice. They are apparently standardized to CLC specifications.
The Grand Line, aka the cyan line, is planning on having some of the starter line stops skipped on its route for the sake of greater efficiency on its route, one day planned to visit a great number of previously unconnected places beyond currently known bounds. The potential stops to be skipped include Endcroak, Neon City, Charcherry North, Desertia, Poketopia, and/or Seasaw. Public opinions have been requested.
Pi Fight
Earlier today, in celebration of pi day, Prince of Time Flux Emit replicated a large number of pies in Gene's Garden, inviting the public to visit and eat pie for the occasion. For much of the day, it was quite peaceful, until later on a pie throwing fight broke out. By the end of it, the bar was absolutely covered in pie filling, crust, whipped cream, and tins. Those that were identified in security footage have been warned about their behavior, and cleanup will be funded by those that were involved, except for one that will have their fine covered by somebody else that was also involved. Names of the accused have been redacted from this article for the sake of their safety.

I think that covers it. I decided in the end to just skip the complex conveyor belt choreography setpiece and just have the cards move on the belt as normal, and that managed to break me out of developer's block. Unfortunately Hazell is still reportedly dealing with her own dev difficulties. There will be a mission spearheaded by Rise on monday, to those that are interested. Regardless, I must go to teh sleeps now. Goodnight! (and stahp pecking holes in my walls, pikipek!) https://letssosl.boards.net/thread/480/charcherry-weekly-issue-241

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 240
Hello everyone, mage of light Nick Card here. Have I mentioned I hate eventing complex conveyor belt sequences lately? Now for some actual news.
Final Shot
Early in the week, the dungeon crashers showed up to the game room to finish their run of OneShot. This time, in addition to rogue of heart Charles, your dear newsletter writer, and Hazell Serket, bootleg dreamer Skye also joined. The party arrived at the refuge and managed to explore the walkways and rooftops of the shifting city, splitting up when necessary. I planted The Kernel and Hazell managed to get the water needed to water it. We stopped by the pancake place and ate plenty of good pancakes. After an amount of wandering, we eventually ended up in a room with three colored spots and a colorless light up thing. Three particular residents of that world were gathered to stand on the appropriate colored spots and the appropriate reactions happened. We then moved onwards to the monitor room, and briefly lamented the disappearance of "clover". After that, we met up with the manifestation of The World Machine, known as Edison. Poor little Eddie was hurt and scared, having been forced to follow Asimov's 3 laws of robotics, yet was caught in a situation impossible to solve without potentially breaking one. Being convinced of the need to adhere rigidly, Edison believed themself to be "untamed", in other words, still adherent to the programming that they emerged from. However, this was disproven and Skye managed to comfort Eddie by stepping through the screen between them and giving them a hug. After a moment of comfort and catharsis with the party, the squares disappeared and the world was no longer in danger of self-destruction. So then your dear newsletter writer completed the final task and finally screwed in the lightbulb at the top of the tower, illuminating the world with The Sun. All in all, I feel like this was an important experience for me as a mage of light, as well as a ludomancer. Exploring an rpg maker game from the inside and seeing just how things could easily develop further than written when given life in some manner, trusting my teammates to solve puzzles and find things that I can't always locate, and overall musing about my mythological role in general. Like, if you think about it, the phrase "my burden is light" kinda fits my title, if you're willing to follow the "mages suffer through their aspect" theory. Like certainly my knowledge and agency has brought difficult but necessary times for myself and others, but it seems a bit reductive to boil it down to suffering when there's also very good arguments for mage class having to do with knowledge through experience, or even just the act of somehow hearing your aspect on some level.
After a moment of celebration and peace, we all logged out and woke up in the game room, though Skye did crash pretty quick on account of it being 1am in her native time zone. We all got clover phosphor pendants, I gained an achievement that gave me better gardening ability, and most of all, Eddie joined us outside of the game in holographic form, joyed to explore the possibilities of their recognized sentience.
A few days later, to facilitate allowing them to step foot outside of the game room, Hazell, and Periodic (with Skye nearby working on computer stuff) built a robot for Eddie to use. It is designed to look a lot like Niko, the expected (but this time not present) protagonist of OneShot. Reportedly Eddie is enjoying their new robot body, especially since it gives them the capability to eat pancakes.
A Pinto Problem
A few days ago, your dear newsletter writer's pre-retcon counterpart, their version of former Johto champion HAZEL, and their new companion Diamond in the Pinto region got back in contact with us in the dungeon crashers memo. Reportedly, Diamond managed to find out about the temporal latency between dimensions and came to the conclusion that it was slipping far too much. It has been tentatively concluded that a certain artifact had gone missing from the Pinto Region, and that it may need to be returned to a particular landmark that has been noted to have wailing screams heard from it at night. A team from the dungeon crashers, lead by Heir of Time Rise Emit, will be investigating the site and potentially "set things right" by some manner. In the meantime, other Nick has been focusing on training their pokemon, unmedicated, might I add. I plan on trading them a pokemon with a certain held item that should make their training montage a lot less agonizing. That being said, other Nick, you may want to catch a pokemon you'll be willing to trade away for a level 2 spritzee.

I think that does it. Been hearing about a bunch of temporics setting out with pokemon for their rite's journey lately. I hope that works out well for them. Vriskers managed to get some much needed therapy though I can only guess how raw it must have been. I've managed to barely take a further stab at my game, but only because I decided to work on mapping rather than conveyor belt eventing for now. Apparently the mission to the winter planet is happening soon. I wish the party going out there the best of luck. https://letssosl.boards.net/thread/479/charcherry-weekly-issue-240

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 239
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Things have been pretty busy lately, plus the weather being a lot warmer than last week. Let's get to business!
Another Shot
Early this week, the party reconvened in the game room to continue our multipart oneshot adventure. This time, Calamus and Alula joined us to meet their counterparts in the Glen. other than them, the player party was comprised of Hazell Serket, Rogue of Heart Charles, and your dear newsletter writer. In addition, Silver and Prototype, as well as Equinox were also with us. We found the other Calamus and Alula early on, after Charles solved a puzzle, using a hint from the hint machine (and a hint from those that saw him oriented the wrong way). The bird siblings were excited to see eachother and all four of them continued along with us. At some point early on, we split into two groups to navigate a maze. fortunately we were able to regroup with the fast travel ability when needed. At some point I ended up presenting the True Sun to a certain someone at the end of her days, with the promise of a way to bring her back one day. At another point, Charles managed to do some skillful bartering with Magpie and even got a handisash badge out of the deal. Eventually, we managed to obtain the parts for the flying machine and prepared to take off for the next area. The World Machine convinced us to have the local bird siblings stay behind for their safety, since there weren't enough seats for everyone. Charles almost tried to do some wingwalking, but they were dissuaded before we even took off for obvious safety reasons. Cedric flew us to a massive shifting city known as the Refuge. Soon after landing, we took a break for the time being, intending to resume on thursday.
However, this was not in the cards, as at least one of the joltiks in the game room managed to mess with the hint machine in such a way that the wrong fuses got blown out, forcing the next outing to take place next week rather than thursday. This wound up somehow being a good thing, considering that something entirely unexpected wound up occurring on thursday.
Superskye Saga
Anyhow, on thursday, bootleg dreamer Skye got back in contact with the dungeon crashers, having apparently ended up on alternia somehow. By some manner of absolute Skyecore bullshit, which involved directing Sol to captchalogue and deploy the singularity from the Land of Cities and Shadows onto Afterworld, she was able to make an entire island surrounded by a moat appear by sburban means. Present with her was a troll population in the thousands, and a pissed off cherub who had sought a way to play the game to gain even greater power, despite really not needing any more power, on account of being able to speak the narrative out loud, to everyone's detriment. Like seriously, she made people kneel! I think it was only my sheer stubbornness and greater insight as a light player that prevented me from complying. Fortunately however, at least two players from a doomed timeline where the game was played showed up to assist in the fight. A Prince of Doom, and that timeline's version of bootleg dreamer skye, who successfully managed to ascend as a Maid of Void. Did I mention she had figured out how to perform narrativespeak as well? Not nearly as loudly as the cherub, but at least enough to write her own destiny. Regardless, your dear newsletter writer was there with Rogue of Heart Charles, Maid of Void Skitis, Heir of Hope Hazell Serket, a number of members of the SPace II crew, at least two private individuals, and Slope the slowpoke. Together we all fought as hard as we could and managed to deal some serious damage to the cherub, before skye could finally perform a technique that is so powerful that it cannot be described. Also, it turns out it wasn't alternate skye who did it, but instead bootleg dreamer skye. At the end, alternate skye was exhausted, but received appropriate medical care. It is unknown how long her stay will be, but it is hoped that she is able to enjoy peaceful days before paradox space decides that her days are over. Also of note, it rained on afterworld for the very first time, and it was quite warm. Currently, the trolls of the as-of-yet investigated island are receiving appropriate aid and services, in exemplary Afterworldian fashion. Further investigation on a later date.
Other happenings
Early this week, a mob of miku fans were seen at brookford station, going towards a particular direction. It was later found, with video evidence, that a version of Miku Hatsune had gunned many of them down. 16 deaths, dozens of injuries. The route they took was made off-limits for civilians as a result. The assailant has absconded, unlikely to be found ever again. The local tamed version of Hatsune Miku has released a statement, saying that she does not appreciate what the other Miku instance had done to their fans.
New public transport cards have begun to be issued across The Union today. Those who use the railway are advised to swap over to this new card, in case any starfish cards stop working.
For a brief about of time, the planet of Bureaucratia underwent a brief period of planetary paralysis, for an elapsed period of ten minutes. Reportedly a time gear was stolen by an anonymous individual, only to have it returned soon after. It is unknown why Bureaucratia requires a time gear in order to experience the flow of time, as usually time should be able to flow freely across Gene. Heir of Time Rise Emit, keeper of the Wheel of Time, was not available for questions regarding this mystery.

I think that does it for now. Hazell and Vriskers have been doing a vriska-centric homestuck reread lately (shout-outs to the homestuck unofficial collection and the point of view mod), which has apparently been quite enlightening. Meanwhile, I've been getting stuck on a mess of eventing in my game, though hopefully a good day for coding will present itself. I do wonder if a certain someone watching over me has any insight regarding the games I work on. Goodnight everyone! https://letssosl.boards.net/thread/478/charcherry-weekly-issue-239
