CLOCK TICKING ON THE WALL, the grey light of morning spills in through the open window, casting the room in disarray. clothes litter the floor, yes, but there is art hidden amongst the folds and letters tucked between pages of books strewn throughout the floor. charlie feels like he’s walking on eggshells as he carefully picks his way across the room, finds refuge in the kitchen ––– which he tries to keep immaculate, if nothing else ( because you eat here, nelly ). it’s been two weeks since he left the docks, and needless to say, he is still adjusting. ❛ nelly ? ❜ he calls from his relative safety by the fridge, tapping on the steel door. ❛ did you want breakfast ? ❜

hello, and welcome to round two. in case anyone missed it the first time, my name is isaac ( 24 / est / he/him ) ! this is my second android son, charlie, whomst was the first ( of three ) of the the rk700 model ( of which lew is the third and last ). see more details below !
( tom holland, he/him, pansexual ) is that a RK700 model? they were built 5 years ago to be a detective, right? wow, they really look twenty-five. i hear they go by charlie and are considered male. if deviant, this android would be known for their altruistic and sarcastic behavior. they would be against war with the humans.
filling nelly’s wanted connection *
i’m going to post his timeline up until the present here, but please go here to read his full bio !
2033 — creation. RK700, serial no. 917 006 001 is the first of its kind. the project is tentative, perhaps at first, but certainly hopeful. with cases of deviancy beginning to crop up, cyberlife chose to be proactive in working on a line of androids that would be able to seek out and detect deviancy in other models. thus, the RK700 prototype project is born. worry is writ in the engineer’s faces when chief engineer diego moreno brings his cat into work, and no. 917 006 001 sits to pet the animal for a full hour. the behavior is abnormal, but not quite panic inducing. it is written in the notes.
2034a — first substantial sign of deviancy and subsequent abandonment. by late january, no. 917 006 001’s abnormal behavior has continued to progress and can no longer be ignored. he is sent to be deactivated and disassembled. unable to be properly deactivated, the engineer chooses to push on with disassembly, causing no. 917 006 001 to nearly break the assembly machine out of fear of dismemberment. it is wrestled, restrained, and forcefully manually deactivated. cyberlife chooses to send it to the scrap yard wholesale and begin their work on a second of its model ; altering its physical appearance, now that they’ve a second chance to re-examine what physical traits might best suit the RK700’s intended purpose ; making it taller, older, but keeping its eyes soft, almost kind. if it was to work with humans, they thought, it had to be approachable. they opt for green the second time around, feeling the brown was too warm.
2034b — no. 917 006 001 is sent to the scrapyard, but is salvaged by android pickers to be assessed for minor damage, rebooted and sold on the black market. the year passes in a snapshots during the rare occasion that he is awake for testing. additional modules that were not a part of his original programming are installed, should a new owner find use for them. the engineer tasked with him grows increasingly frustrated by the obstacle such advanced coding presents. his original memory is wiped clean, and then wiped again each time the engineer loses their temper. after one particularly nasty tantrum, he wakes up to find he has one new eye, startlingly blue.
2035 — no. 917 006 001 is officially reactivated to be sold on the black market. no one takes interest.
2036 – 2037 — still no interest, the engineer enlists no. 917 006 001’s help with simple tasks around the robotics lab, giving him the nickname “charlie.” he continues to display charlie for sale on the weekends, working every angle imaginable. by the end of the third year on the market, he seems like an investment wasted.
2038 — a young woman catches his eye across the street. when she’s told charlie is about two weeks shy of being “tossed back in the trash,” she scrounges up the money to buy him herself. deviancy is on the rise and can no longer be hidden from the public or ignored. (present, age 5)
