The video was filmed with Dick's extended family at his Malibu home, which he had to evacuate a few days ago due to the Franklin Fire. "It was coming from the hill, you could see it," Van Dyke stated in an interview with the Today show. "And oh my God, we got out of here." After trying to extinguish "a little fire in the guest house" by himself, Dick said "I was trying to crawl to the car. I had exhausted myself. I couldn't get up. Three neighbors came and carried me out." He was then evacuated to safety with his wife, Arlene Silver, and their pets, but one cat named "Bobo" escaped during the commotion. In a traditional Hollywood happy ending, when they were allowed to return home "Bobo" was there waiting for them, safe and sound.
