Past life is so funny, it's literally like "what if you were a horse? The Square Hole Ć̶͓̜̘̮͖͕̟͖̂̾̏͐̄́̀̉͠O̷̹̓͒̎̒N̶̨̡̡̝̻͉̱̱̤̥̠̰̩̎̅̊̉S̶̡̥͕̮͈̀̾̐ͅͅU̴̝̝̭̪͑͊͜M̴̛̘̻̪̍̀̑͆̈́͊̇̂͑̂̑̿̓̌͜E̶̡̝͉̳̩̰̭̠͔̘̱̾͊̃̔̃̿̔̾̌S̵̳͙͎̼̯̦͕͇̓̑͘͜͜͝ͅͅͅͅ. Also Pearl is emo now."

I was talking on a discord server about how unlikely it is that you find fics shipping Grian and BigB without having some sort of Scarian plotline to it to and. Guys. Like 2/3 of GriB (I don't know if there's another ship name for them but I like this one) fics include Scarian too. And that's only the tagged Scarian. But like those two work soooo well together. Especially thinking about it in a Double Life lens, Grian was banking on his soulmate being BigB so insanely hard. (“I was heartbroken about not being paired with bigb” - Grian).
Not to mention someone pointed out that BigB creates Horrors (secret life backrooms), and Grian experiences horrors (fanon discussions around his Watcher identity). Like. C'mon guys. And Grian went to BigB (and Pearl too) in Limited Life when the bad boys feel apart. And there's the Evo/Watcher connections because they were both in evo, and both are considered eldritch horrors. Imagine BigB being the only one Grian feels understands him properly. BigB not caring that Grian's an eldritch horror because he's been a cryptid for as long as he can remember. BigB being able to understand what he went through and why that was so damaging for him.
Like... I'm so normal about them.
Edit: It's 100% biggri. i do not care. GriB sounds better

Sometimes talking to people who don’t watch Cleo about Cleo makes you feel like Janet from the Good Place. In the sense that someone sees a she/they nonbinary person that often presents femininely and cannot comprehend that that person is still nonbinary.
“I want a Life Series girls team of Pearl, Lizzie, Gem, and Cleo”
“The Hermitgals: False, Gem, Pearl, and Cleo”
“Why are you calling Cleo a king? Shouldn’t she be a queen? She uses she/they.”

inspired by the homestuck pilot produced by viviziepop
here is hoping someone in five years that was unhinged enough to be there in twitch.tv on November 16th, 2020, and continued to be ballsy enough to get into show biz and made a career in the entertaiment industry will be visionary enough to pitch a dsmp adaptation of some sort
I want the internet to have a meltdown over it

robert jenkins is haunting me because the idea of a livestreamed hermitcraft wedding is literally so much fun. it’s so whimsy and unserious. i wish i never saw that comment again in our year 2025 because i can feel it changing my brain chemistry.
but at the same time i feel the idea of any hermits getting “married” will 1) cheapen the fanon description of their bond (boiling them down to each other’s spouses) 2) start truthing/discourse/queerbait allegations/whatever so the most ethical course of action is to bring a hermit’s irl spouse on the server.

In this post I made an outline of Villies' base from episode 2 of Past Life. I finally colored it! I may come back to it, but for now this is it. I had a blast!

Ranking of different Life Series Pearls based on how “wet cat” I think they actually are (spoiler, she’s really not except in two series in my opinion)
6.) Last Life- Nope. She is skilled, she is making it to the top four, she is getting sick kills. She likes her teammates. Shes got dogs. Not a moment of wet cat to be found. 0/10
5.) Secret Life- Also no wet cat. She is thriving in the Mounders. Her skin is clear, her crops are watered. Scott tells her he loves her and she snarks back at him. She actually goes on the kind of proper murder spree people claim she went on in DL but didn’t. Also she literally got second place. Frankly I think she could have won again if she really wanted to. This is only higher up than Last Life because she screamed so loud when the Mounders died that her mic went out but that was less ‘wet cat’ and more agonized grief. 1/10.
4.) Limited Life- Again, like SL, she was thriving in her alliance. Her and BigB got along so well. She again made it to the top four. Her only slightly wet cat moment was dying to her own trap. We also get a sad little “No BigB… I really wanted BigB to win”. This is only higher than SL because of that and because she made 4th here and she was 2nd in SL. 1.5/10
3.) Past Life- Okay shes actually thriving in terms of getting kills, her boogey trap took out three people. And she’s still got five lives as of session five. However unlike our first three on the list, she is NOT thriving in this alliance. Her pathetic wet cat nature is brought out by this. 4/10
2.) Double Life- I know it’s shocking this isn’t the top of the list but hear me out. First off, she literally won so she can’t have been too pathetic. Second off, for as much as she didn’t get along with Scott and Cleo, they weren’t actually an alliance so it’s not like she spent a series in an alliance that wasn’t working the way she’s doing in Past Life. However, of course, the emotional turmoil is brought out in other ways. She’s alone, she’s constantly trying and failing to make friends. Even when she does make “friends” it’s because they want the crazy lady as their guard dog, not because they want Pearl. It seems like she’s always in the wrong place at the wrong time and getting blamed for it. In the end, her win feels less like triumph, even when she’s technically gotten her revenge, and more like a cathartic end to her suffering. Also her little sad noises after Tilly died the first time are genuinely kind of heartbreaking. 8/10
1.) Wild Life- The wettest cat Pearl has ever been. I feel like every second of Wild Life I was imagining Pearl as sweaty, pale, wide-eyed, and nauseous. She died nearly every episode to the first few wild cards. She ate her diamond sword on accident after spending so much time just trying to find any diamonds at all. Her dog didn’t even die, he got turned into a mule. Her teammates make fun of her for saying Double Life was traumatic (I know they make up later in the series but they still did that). She literally says she feels useless in session 2. She wants to be Gem’s friend but Gem is holding onto petty drama that doesn’t even make sense to Pearl so she’s constantly getting shot down. She gets fed up enough with feeling so disconnected from her team that she betrays a team for the first and only time she’s ever done it. She gets one kill and it was a kill that also killed her and didn’t even give her another life because it was green on green. She spends truly so long trying to kill either Lizzie or Gem and does not succeed. As always, the guy she devotes her season to getting a win doesn’t win and also dies before her, leading her to very sadly go “I’m so lost…”. She actively chose not to heal up (I’m not speculating, she has said this) before heading into the final five fight because she didn’t care about dying anymore. 10/10 that’s a wet cat.

"I'm really considering going back to some of the old stuff I've built with copper, and going back to some of the desert builds I was doing in Empires S1, and thinking like, can I revisit that building style and see what it would have been like to have all of that copper stuff."
