Charlie was glad to be sitting off to the side. Able to see people run around and have a good time. He needed a rest, so he let Chantel go off with Houston. He was enjoying watching the kids play when Waverly came up to him and Charlie smiled. "Pull up hay bale," he laughed lightly as he looked at her. Charlie had so much going on lately. With Houston still so young, under a year old. Found out he had a grown son and a teenage grandson. "How are you doing?" he asked with a smile. @waverly--erickson

Although Waverly considered herself a more extrovert-leaning ambivert, and she was thoroughly enjoying the festivities, the desire to take a breather did show up every so often. With a bottle of water in hand, the art teacher looked around for a place to sit for a moment. Spotting Charlie on the outskirts of the games area sitting on a bale of hay with plenty of space beside him, the blonde wandered over. "Mind if I crash your peaceful sitting time?" Waverly asked jokingly, gesturing to the empty spots beside him.

Charlie was waiting to the side for Chantel to return to him. Hearing her he smirked at her for a moment. But he was glad to take his hand in hers, he never minded holding her hand. She made him happy and made him feel wanted and loved. "Oh, I bet he's having a great time, "knowing there were toys and games for the younger kids to have a good time, too. He smirked. "Only half as good as you." he smiled at her for a moment. He felt a bit better today, so he was thankful for that. But he was glad it was in process him and Jeremy would find out soon if Jeremy was match and could donate part of his liver. "But let's just see where the day takes us." he had no real plans right now. @chantelbedford

"Hey hot stuff." Chantel winked, taking her spot at Charlie's side, letting her hand graze his before she grasped it, their fingers interlocking as she let her stride match his. "Houston's at the children's tent with the sitter, I figured we could get a small little walk in before we find the next activity to get involved in." she shrugged, letting her eyes meet his for a moment. "You look great, in case I haven't told you today." she smiled. It felt as if Charlie had had more good days than bad recently, and while she didn't want to push him too much, she was excited he felt good enough to join her and Houston today.

Today, Charlie was walking around the Founder's Festival event just trying to find something to do. He had no real plans today, but Chantel wanted him to go off and have some fun as she had Houston for a couple of hours. He didn't have a lot of ideas on what to do and didn't want to do anything too wild. As he was walking around, he started hearing some talking. Something he wasn't fully catching. He walked up to the Shakespearean showoff event and chuckled at the sight. "No wonder I didn't understand," he said more out loud than to anyone. @masonxmurray

Charlie was overwatching some of the younger kids doing the apple bobbing. He had to laugh at them because some kids went fully under water, it looked like, to try and get the apple. It was something he maybe did a couple of times in his life, but he wouldn't do it now. He looked over to see Alec near him "Go sign up and show the kids what to do" he joked as he watched the kids playing the game.

He nodded. "She loves a day out with you." he knew the two were good friends. He felt that she was doing so much lately that she needesd time off and a day to have fun. "It's been amazing. I know it's hard at my age, but I wouldn't trade it." The future did really scare him, but he was hoping for the best. "Thank you, I will keep that in mind." he smiled at her. He had finished up his meal and smiled at Nancy. "Well I do need to get home but thanks for chatting with me" he smiled at her before he headed home. @nancyxthompsons

Nancy nodded. "Great. I'll make sure to do it soon." She hadn't been out to the farm in a while so going out and visiting would be nice. "And it's great that you guys did that. Really, you guys are going to be great parents." She smiled and shook her head. "I'm sure you're helping all you can. If you guys ever need anything, just let me. I'll be happy to help." @charliesxdavis

He laughed as he looked at her. "I don't think you would ever yell at anyone," he smirked. "But yes, I would find it cute." She only raised her voice to defend someone or herself. That's the only reason why he saw her get mad. Charlie sipped at his coffee for a moment as he thought about it. "I think lunch at the park sounds nice" it was good day out and they should enjoy the nice days while they could. He laughed, hearing what she said as he looked at Houston. "Nah he is all you" he smiled at her. "I mean, I wish....but no," he didn't get that chance to have a kid of his own blood to raise. Now he had a baby at home, a grown son, and a grandson. It was a lot to take in. "But I am glad he had some of you in him..." that did mean more to him. @chantelbedford

Smiling when Charlie told her that it was sweet she was asking questions she shook her head, kissing her cheek. "You'd probably think it was sweet if I was yelling at you." she joked, knowing very well that neither of them would ever yell at the other. They didn't even raise their voices at each other. "But truly it's whatever you feel like doing. Since it's been so nice lately, maybe we can go to the park? Have a picnic?" she questioned, looking over at Charlie, taking the child once he'd taken his coffee. "Is it weird that sometimes he looks like you?" Chantel laughed, watching as Houston watched Charlie, doing anything he could to keep the mans attention. "Sometimes I swear he's actually yours." she laughed. @charliesxdavis

He knew he was on the right track to start getting better but till that was really happening he was going to keep quiet for now. "You should she would love that" he knew she had been working so hard to care for himself and extra farm work since Charlie could not work as much. He chuckled "We didn't have much of a choice when her family left him we couldn't say no" it wasn't easy on them both but they were doing great so far. "It's really all Chantel" he smiled as she was the one doing all the hard work. @nancyxthompsons

She nodded with a smile. "Good. I'm glad to hear it." She was happy to hear things were going well with him and his family. "She is. I'll have to stop by and see her or invite her to lunch or something." It had been a while since she saw Chantel and it'd be good to visit. Looking at his phone, Nancy smiled and her gaze went back to Charlie. "He is. I can't imagine going through that again at my age. You're a saint for doing it." @charliesxdavis

He nodded "I understand that" the boy was young enough to understand it and needed time to settle in after a big move too. He didn't know how to handle all of this so joking was one way he could handle it. "I feel that I need to get home too" but he would make the next appointments right away. "But I will let you know once I make the appointments... but thanks for all of this" it did mean a lot to him that Jeremy was doing all of this. The man could have turned him away right off and ended it there. @jeremyxlieberman

He rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah." He sighed. "He wants to settle in at school before we meet. Which I understand." Jeremy told the man who was his father. "Seems that way." While Charlie might've been able to joke and chuckle about it, Jeremy wasn't quite there. He was wrapping his head still around it all. "I should get going. You'll let me know when we do the tests, right?" @charliesxdavis

Charlie looked at him for a moment "Oh" he didn't want to add more to Jeremy's plate like this. He didn't know of Mabel at all so he hadn't met her yet. He had to rub the back of his head at the thought of it, that Jeremy had a kid he didn't know about either. Thankfully it wasn't as long as Charlie had to wait to find out. "I guess it's in the family..." he didn't mean it as like a joke, but he had a chuckle about it. @jeremyxlieberman

He took a deep breath and nodded. "I just found out actually. Not long before all this." Jeremy explained to him. "In high school, I was dating this girl named Mabel Hughes. She left right after prom and... well, her family was going through some stuff so she couldn't tell me." He wasn't about to unleash Mabel's information like that. He'd never do that to her. "She recently moved back and told me. I haven't met him yet." @charliesxdavis

Having a child of his own was shocking still and it being a friend of years was another story. But part of him was glad he already knew Jeremy and that he was a good man. He didn't know if they get to call each other father or son, but just be there for each other for now. Hearing what his son was saying, he turned his head. "What?" he was confused he didn't know Jeremy had a song. "I didn't know you had a boy..." @jeremyxlieberman

"Thanks." Jeremy said and took a deep breath. This was all crazy to think about, but he wasn't going to turn his back on Charlie. He'd help him out and after processing this, maybe get to know him as his dad and not just his friend. "Okay." He nodded before looking over at him. "It's interesting to take, that's for sure. And strange time because I... well, guess I get to drop the bomb on you that you have a fifteen year old grandson." @charliesxdavis

He smiled at Jeremy, who was his son it was so hard to take in that thought that it was all real now. "I'll do it and let you know." he was sure it was just another blood test. " From what I know all you need to do is have some type of diet and not drink for a few weeks.. before" hoping that was okay with Jeremy. "You are very kind to do all of this. I know all of this...news can't be easy on you," knowing he grew up with a man who wasn't his father. @jeremyxlieberman

Jeremy shook his head. "I know, but I want to do this. This is what started it all, right? I want to do this." He shifted in his seat a little before looking at Charlie about what to do. "Okay. Well, book whatever tests we need to do to see if I'm a match and we'll go from there." He swallowed. "I've heard that, but I wouldn't care if it didn't. I'll help." @charliesxdavis

Like what do they do? Jeremy was an adult so it wasn't like he needed Charlie for anything. So really things did not have to change really. Charlie looked at him hearing what Jeremy asked. "You don't have too okay? I want you to know this" he didn't want the younger male to think he had too. "But from what I was told, it's another blood test to see if we are a match in the right way, but the family is always the highest chance of a match..." The closer the family, the better the chance of a match. "and that it's part of liver...they regrow?" he didn't understand that. @jeremyxlieberman

He nodded at Charlie's words and sighed. "I don't either." What did you do when you discovered your friend was actually your son? Or dad? There wasn't exactly a guide here. "So, um, you need a liver then, right?" Jeremy asked and sat up a little to look over at him. "What do I need to do to do that for you?" @charliesxdavis

It was hard to have the paper and the answers in his hands, but he would never have done it without Jeremy's there. They needed to know simultaneously, and Charlie didn't think he could handle knowing before. He knew for years when he was playing, he did get along; he partied and slept around a bit. So, part of him wasn't that shocked he had a kid out there. Not one that seemed to the mother cheating and having Jeremy from it. "I know... " he eyed the man who was his friend's now son who did seem...in shock about it, scared maybe. "Fuck man..." he was trying to wrap his head around the idea and think about his past. He didn't really know who Jeremy's mother was. He didn't remember the woman it was so many years ago. "I don't know what to do with this, Jeremy..." he looked at the younger male. @jeremyxlieberman

Part of Jeremy wished that Charlie would've looked at the paper before this so then he could just rip the band-aid off faster. He did understand why the man didn't, but he just wanted to know already. Charlie's words hit him a little and he wasn't sure what he would do. Before, the man was a friend. Would he really deny him to donate part of his liver? His heart was hammering against his chest as he watched him open the paper and read it. And there it was: the confirmation that he was Charlie's son. He took the paper with shaky hands to look at it himself and sure enough, it proved Charlie was his dad. "Wow, um..." He swallowed and put the paper down. "I/// can't believe it." @charliesxdavis

Charlie had to smile at her, he loved her so much and was glad she was here to support him still. that he had times he was close to saying she could go, she didn't have to deal with it. But he knew her too well, and she never left. When he went to make the coffee, he was playing with Houston, bounding him and playing with a toy. He did want to take every moment he could with the young boy. He smiled at her, hearing her ideas for the day. "Everything sounds great." he didn't like not being able to work the farm as much, it really hurt him that he couldn't keep up right now. "Here, Houston, comes to see Chantel," he handed the boy over so he could have some coffee that he needed. "It's sweet" he smiled at her "But I think lunch in town sounds nice" he did need to get out still. @chantelbedford

"Of course." she smiled, leaning over and kissing his cheek softly before she stood, making her way to the kitchen and pouring him a cup of black coffee, holding the cup once she returned to her spot on the couch until he was ready for it. She wasn't going to interrupt, his time with Houston was something she always admired and she never wanted to interrupt that, but especially now. "Is there anything you wanted to try to do today?" she asked. "Most of the work on the farm is finished already so we have the rest of the day free until next feeding time." she shrugged. "Feel up for a movie marathon? Going out for lunch?" she questioned. "Would you rather me stop asking questions?" she laughed. @charliesxdavis

"I mean, all of this town is nice, but you will love it," he smiled at her. Moving was always a big thing and could be scary but in the end was for the best. "You never know when he will want too, but if and when he does i will hook up" he grinned. "But also, if he wants animal time, just let me know." he nodded. He wanted to give and help even more now. "Yeah doing as good as one can.." he didn't want to worry people about what he was dealing with. @beyzaxalpman

She nodded. "We will be." It was going to be different living in Emerald Mist. It'd be a little further from her parents, but it was going to be nice being close to Julian and live with Emre. "So far, Dev hasn't showed any interest in sports, but if he ever does, I'll be coming to you." Beyza smiled at the older man. "That's great. I'm glad you're all doing good." @charliesxdavis
