“Oh well i’m terribly sorry, I didn’t know you were in the public eye.” Regina sniggered, bowing low as a joke before looking up and grinning at him. “Stalking is only illegal if you get caught, but the best people don’t.” She winked, wandering over to him, dropping the cigarette butt on the floor as she moved. “What’s it called?’
“I think it’s illegal still if you don’t get caught,” said Blake. “Things don’t stop existing just because no one is there to see them. The only difference is, you’re not being punished. Fine distinction, but the illegal part still stands. Otherwise there wouldn’t be a point in hiding the activity,” he said with a shrug. “Career of Evil,” he told her.

“Of course.” She referring the updates of his life. How disappointing. Everything is the same and boring routine. “Ohh, how sweet of you!” She said ironic, almost puking of hearing the passion for this city; she still didn’t like much Denver. She just like a few people but, still she won’t assume she enjoys the company of others people. "The sweetest Blake!“ She pinched his cheek, with her both mockingly just to mess with him. "Look he’s being romantic!” She referring of liking the city.
He gave her a look. “Stop that,” he said. “I just think it’s a different kind of a city than your typical New York or LA and I think that’s a good thing. It’s not all busy and trendy but it’s still got it’s class and charm. Tease me all you want, but this city could yet grown on you, you know. Make you into a new woman. Affect you the same way it’s affected me.” He gave her a cheeky grin.

“Well you wouldn’t know, wouldn’t you? Unless you’ve got some third eye or something,” she teased. “I may have or had a fantasy or two,” she joked as he teased her about the professor joke she had made. “I did have a professor back in England who did have specs and it suited him quite well,” she added. “That seems like something you should mention to your eye doctor because as much as I’d love to help I wouldn’t have an suggestions to fix your little issue.”
He smirked slightly when she mentioned a fantasy or two. “So, like a small kink of yours, huh?” he grinned with cocked eyebrows. “And this professor of yours, someone you ended up hooking up with or just the one that everyone lusted after?” he asked. “It’s okay, though. It’s not actually that big of an issue,” he said as he shook his head and sat back in his chair. “We met once, right? You’re Zara, if I remember correctly.”

“Yeah? Well, you will have to let me know when you are free. Then I can properly get the ropes of how you do a karaoke night since you seem to know it quite well.” She chuckled. It would be nice to get out a bit. She hadn’t done much of that because of her surgery and the cast but she didn’t want to let it keep her from having fun. She could see the expression of his face when she spoke about how she’d gotten into her eating habit He seemed a bit impressed rather that appearing to think it ridiculous which she appreciated at least. Too many people tended to judge her the moment she admitted to being vegan. “Yeah, I suppose not.” She nodded a bit before smiling at him. “Well thank you. I know it’s not for everyone but hey if it works it works right?” She gave a mimicking shrug before listening a bit more intently at his idea. “A night club would be interesting. That is not something I hear people wanting to invest in. I am sure there are plenty of people though who would appreciate something that stayed open later. What kind of night club would you think you would want to have?”
“Yeah?” he said with a nod. “I think I can free up a weekend just for you,” he said. “It’ll be like old times. I mean, I know we were never buddies or anything but this could be time to start a bond,” he said. “Should let me know when that leg of yours gets out of that thing, too. Probably be better to go if you can actually get up and walk,” he said. “Although we could just spend a night sitting around and watching other people get up and sing. That’s always fun too, especially if you get there a little later when everyone is pretty drunk and you’re still sober enough to enjoy the spectacles,” he said with a grin. “Well, you know, you do your own thing and I’ll do my thing and it’s not hurting anyone,” said Blake with a shrug. “Plus, you were in LA. People do all sorts of weird things there. I can’t be the one to judge someone and what to eat. I’m pretty sure there was a restaurant that once tried to sell dirt. Or something like dirt. I never found out what it was. It wasn’t good, though,” he said. “As long as you’re not eating dirt, you’re okay in my book. And I’m not sure. Obviously it would have to be something fresh. Denver has nightclubs, but I’d have to think about it some more. It’s still kind of a new idea, if you hadn’t noticed.”

Andrew rubbed his face, nodding with a smirk. The guy had a point and he couldn’t blame him. “Yeah…” Glancing back down at his sketchpad, he shut it. “I don’t particularly like people hovering me either so I try to go along with that whole ‘treat others the way you’d like to be treated’ thing. No worries there.” Andrew lightly tapped his pencil before sort of twirling it around in his fingers, his stare falling to the table then back to the guy. “Sorry for disrupting your reading.”
“If I really didn’t want to be interrupted, I probably would have stayed in my apartment,” he conceded with a shrug. “Good motto to live by though. Shame most people don’t seem to abide by it,” he said as he shook his head. “You can keep drawing, though,” he added seeing he’d closed his sketchbook.

Lilja couldn’t help but chuckle at his description of a night of karaoke. “Well, I can’t say I am a big drinker but admittedly that sounds like fun so maybe next time I will have to have a few and give it a go.” She grinned. “And if you’re up for it as you say then I might just have to ask you to come along too. It sounds like the slurry-er the better, huh? Or at least the more fun.” As he asked her about how she got into being a vegan, she gave a small shake of her head and a bit of an embarrassed chuckle. “None actually. I got into it because of a guy I was seeing. He was vegan and when I would cook I would have to make things for him but I didn’t want to cook separate meals so I would just eat what he did. Then I realized that I liked the way I felt eating those foods and yes it was healthier and better for animals so I just decided to stick with it even after we broke up.” She listened as he spoke about what he did, giving a slight nod in recognition. “That sounds nice though. I’m sure it feels good to be able to relax a bit. What kind of investments would you be thinking about, if you don’t mind me asking?”
He nodded. “Yeah. I’m always up for a good night, and I bet I could guarantee you a good time,” he said a slight smirk on his face as he looked her up and down, but then looked back at her as she explained how she got into veganism. he looked rather impressed. It wasn’t the usual story, after all and it was a better story than someone who was trying to shove into other people’s faces. “That’s not at all what I was expecting,” he admitted to her. “You rarely hear about people who stumble into something like that by accident,” he nodded. “I personally I couldn’t do it, but good for you,” he said genuinely before shrugging. “I don’t know yet. I was thinking about it. Something like a night club. Most of the places around here close at 2am, which isn’t very late in the grand scheme of things. I think there’s something to be said into providing late night entertainment even later.”

“Ok.” Lux is too proud of herself to make a comment, that she is glad that Eisley is doing fine. Regardless she did send once a text to her asking if she is fine, she mentioned she was with her brother, but they don’t talk much. ‘Seeing her with someone else’, now it’s the part where she is intrigued, she wasn’t sure if he was talking about Eisley or Dawn. “If you say so… ” She frowned. “Anything interesting to tell me ? Perhaps a party ?!“
“Anything to tell you? What? Like updates on my life?” he said with a soft chuckle and shook his head. “Can’t say there’s much of anything going on. Not even in the way of parties,” he told her. “Been trying to keep a low profile, anyway, take a few jobs in LA when I need it and keep living my life here. Denver’s starting to grow on me.”

“Well that’s not what it’s about.” Olivia spoke with a shrug. “But I mean I guess so.” Olivia shook her head. “I’m just not sure what I can do to help. What I have to offer.”
“What do you mean? You’re not sure what you can do to help or offer?” he said with a cocked eyebrow. “You mean, like skill wise? Or you think they won’t want your help once you sign on or... what?”

“You don’t want to be associated with being a stalker? It’s basically the most skilled form of creepy there is. I think everyone should attempt to excel at it.” She said, although of course it was tongue in cheek. That was Regina though, constantly pulling the leg of people around her, hence the lazy grin that was across her lips. She shrugged at his description of the book, not really bothered. “I don’t mind them, how bloody is the murder?” She cackled.
“Being in the public eye, I generally try to avoid anything that associates me with illegal activities, but hey, everyone has their thing,” he said with a small shrug of his shoulders. He was used to people having a darker sense of humor. “You can always read it and find out,” he nodded.

“Oh of course. I missed you so much I tracked your every move and found you here and thought that it would be such a perfect idea to bring the little monster out here to play as a cover up story to it all.” Eisley went on to say, playfully rolling her eyes as he continued to keep up jumping to the same old conclusion that their mere run-ins were always her seeking him out to be with him. “Why bother asking you to hang out when I can go through such great lengths and make it all look like some weird conscience that were in the same place together?”

“Well, obviously,” said Blake. “I mean, you can have your dog sniff me out, so I know you wouldn’t track my every move, but it wouldn’t be hard to find me,” he said with a nod. “Don’t worry, I got you,” he said with a wink in her direction. “I dunno, because people love the magic of coincidences and the world putting two people together.” Of course Blake was still under the impression she was seeing another guy and let any further implications hang in the air with that statement. “How’s bakery work coming along?”

She didn’t expect to hear that. He never expected the worst of her, but she was sure he expected, she hides the surprised of hearing his phrase into a cheshire cat smile, as usual. “I’ve heard about the stuff what happened with her. It seems she making it…” She referring of Eisley get back to her patterns slowly with her bakery and that stuff. “I…” She starts… “I miss Dawn. She said she is your friend too.."
He gave her a meaningful look and a small nod, almost as if he could tell she was surprised, but he didn’t comment on it and moved on. “Well, yeah, she’s getting back on her feet,” said Blake slowly. “Think last I heard she was also seeing someone, too,” he said. Course she hadn’t mentioned since that awkward night, so he had no way of being sure. “Yeah? Maybe you should send her a text,” said Blake. “She is my friend. I saw her after I got back from LA. She was doing good.”

Olivia shrugged. “Uh not really changing career paths just kind of figuring out what I want to do for me. So I was approached about this non profit and I really want to work with them and so that’s just going to affect my working availability but I want to do more than just advertise products and I mean I have enough money but it’s keeping up with trends and appearances which you understand so just trying to you know sort all that out.”
“Ah, yes, something like that would make for good press,” said Blake when she explained what it was she wanted. “I mean, I think you should do it. What’s to figure out? Besides, you don’t have to commit. That’s the point of a non-profit and you can give it a test run for a while. See how it fits into your life and schedule and like I said, it’d make for good PR. Could even help your appearance and career.”

doutzensaintjames:
Doutzen had stepped out for a bit of fresh air, needing a break from studying. She had stepped into the courtyard quietly, seeing someone had already been there. Since she didn’t really want to strike up a conversation. However, after a little while of being out there, and having noticed not once did the male look up she began what he could be reading that was so interesting. She tired to peer at the cover without asking him what it was he was ready, but he caught her eyes on him. “Not lurking. Just trying to figure out what you’re reading.”
“A book,” he said facetiously as he peered over his glasses before pushing up the bridge of his nose so that things came into focus a little more. “Detective fiction,” he added for clarification. “Career of Evil. Really good book if you’ve got a strong stomach. Some of it is a bit fucked up, I’ll give it that,” he nodded as he looked back down at the particular chapter he’d been reading before looking back up at the girl.

Regina watched from the corner of the courtyard, taking drags on a cigarette that was clamped between her fingers. Sucking the smoke into her lungs before letting it out in smooth grey plumes, she’d been planning on going up to the roof for it, but hadn’t been able to wait so had just thought fuck it and lit up in the courtyard instead. “Don’t have to, but I quite like lurking. Gives me a stalker air.” She cackled, shooting him a wink. “Reading anything good?”
“And you want to be associated with being a stalker?” he asked with a raised eyebrow. “Seems like the kind of thing I try to avoid. Well, not try, I don’t think I exude the vibe that easily, but it’s not something I work for either.”
“Depends on if you find detective fiction good or not. Your general murder mystery kind of thing,” he said with a nod as he held up the book briefly before he dogeared the page he was on.

At his replied, she chuckled. She may have tried to do this once… But then the reasoning of wearing his glasses. Now, now, now… The question she hates most… She always has a feeling he suspects she did something wrong, something to the point he has to clean up her mess… But she got everything under control. At the least for now. “I didn’t poison anyone with arsenic. Unfortunately. I’ve been working a lot, and studying. But I get bored, so I decided take a holidays in Italy and when I arrived I convinced the fashion editor, Leela bring me with her to Paris. How about you ? Finally assumed your relationship with Eisley ?” Of course she was teasing him.
“Never thought you had poisoned anyone with arsenic. Or cyanide or chlorine or anything else for that matter,” he said with a small shrug of his shoulders. “I know you think I expect the worst of you, but I really don’t,” he said. He couldn’t say he was surprised to hear that his sister had been traveling around. Seemed just like her. At least she seemed to be getting on with studying and working. “My relationship with Eisley?” he asked with a raised eyebrow. “You mean that we’re friends? Yeah.”

Beanie on and his hood up, it either gave the appearance that Andrew didn’t want to talk to anyone or he was cold. Which it was quite possibly both. Sitting out in the courtyard for some fresh air, he figured it was better than going up to the rooftop where there was nothing to cut the wind. And while he figured it was an innocent act, sketching the scene before him, Andrew didn’t realize the guy was aware of his staring, constantly looking over in his direction while he read the book in his hands. “Sorry. Not trying to lurk or be shady. Just… uh, sketching.” Hopefully that wouldn’t come across as creepy. It wasn’t like he’d be identifiable in the sketch or anything; it was more of a scribble than anything. Lines and shading.
“You don’t sound too sure about that,” said Blake. Not that Blake didn’t believe him, but he found it funny the way he hesitated or seemed somewhat nervous about it. “I was just screwing around. You’re just kind of in the shadows is all,” he observed with a shrug. “I didn’t think you were actually lurking. If you’d been hovering over me like a helicopter, now that would have been a different story. That would be creepy.”

“Well no, I didn’t mean like.. just I’ve watched your reality show before. It’s uncommon” Kaleb rambled out the honest opinion he had, though this was Kaleb at bad judgement since he didn’t know the man personally but only from what he has perceived from the television screen. “I’m sorry I shouldn’t have put that judgement against you.” Looking at the title, Kaleb grinned at the other. “I do like a good detective novel. I’ll have to check it out”
“Well, considering most reality tv is pretty much about as real as unicorns...” he said, letting his voice trail, the implication clear. “Nah, it’s alright, man. Most people assume I can only read at about a fifth grade level. It’s part of being able to play my part well. Which clearly it worked so,” he said as bowed his upper body, adding a small flourish with his hand. “You should. It’s the third of a series. Cuckoo’s Calling is the first, though.”
