You are having an affair with a closeted married man, that is what concerns me. You have to stop it. No.

gossip gays gifset au series | dan x nate
There's nothing unexpected about Chuck being jealous of Carter, really. Stupid, sure, but not unexpected. However the publicly lewd invitation with women on both arms hits differently when someone who knows Nate is gay is next to him. He tries to keep calm, tries not to feel his cheeks heat with embarrassment, but Chuck gives a petty retort and it's all Nate can do to stop from giving more than a glare and making a scene.
There's force behind the way Carter delivers his advice at first, before he sees Nate's face and softens. Carter is easy like that, serious and joking all in one. Nate has to admit it's much nicer to be able to be real and open with someone at a bar instead of hungover in a crowded bedroom.
The all too tempting invitation-- not only would it piss off his father to no end, it might end the tenuous "thing" he had with Chuck. Hearing Carter's stories of traveling the world though.. Nate wonders if maybe it's worth it.
