“Yeah..just great.” Chase sighed a little bit, looking at his watch again. “Umm--what is on special tonight?” He was waiting for Paul but clearly the man had gotten busy.

“Are you okay?” Nina asked, coming up towards the person as they’d been sitting there in the restaurant for quite a while now. “Can I get you anything?”

Chase had needed it. Granted he was trying to be better but he didn’t always succeed especially right now. His sister had moved full time, and he just felt like he was losing everyone. Although Chase understood it. But still it was how he felt. Granted, Paul was still there and that was mattered to him. Leaning into her touch, he also leaned forward and kissed him again. “My guy...how was your day?” He questioned as he pulled away again.

“There is my guy.” Maybe Chase was a bit drunk and maybe a little bit high, he shouldn’t be but he couldn’t help it. He needed that hit but he could never find what -A had given him. “Come here.” He leaned in and kissed his lips passionately and roughly. “I’ve missed you.” Chase stated as he pulled away slightly.

“Completely. What about you?” He questioned, raising a brow slightly. Although he knew that he should probably go home soon.

“Are you having fun?” Henley had thrown a belated New Year’s party down by the river, wanting to be distracted by being around other people.

“That they do.” He chuckled lightly. “Nothing. Figured we could get some lunch or something.”

“So you don’t call or write, how is a guy suppose to catch up with his sister?”

Chase nodded his head. “Thank you.” Sometimes it felt like Peter understood him better. Even if Paul was trying. He couldn’t help but lean into the other man as they walked. “Thank you.” He repeated again. The state he was in was a bad one and he really didn’t want Paul to see him like this. “I know you aren’t in it anymore. I just need something. Anything and I’ll do anything.”

Peter’s brow creased in concern as he moved forward, placing a hand on Chase’s shoulder. “Hey, you’re okay… You want to go back to my house?” He asked, looking around at the people nearby, thinking he might need some privacy to take a breath. “Or I can get you home?” He was clearly going through something awful, but asking him about it could wait. He needed help.

Chase felt Peter’s hand on his shoulder and it felt familiar and comforting right then. Nodding his head a little bit, while looking at Peter for a moment. “Either one. Which is closer?” At this moment he wasn’t sure. He just knew that he needed a hit of something strong. He needed it. That was all he knew in that moment. “I’m not okay..”

“That is all I’m asking.” He grinned, while looking over at him. Shaking his head slightly. “That isn’t who or what I want at all. All I want in this life is you by my side forever.”

“What?” Chase asked, not realizing that he had spaced out. Clearly he wasn’t okay but he was trying to be. But he had a problem again thanks to -A. Siting down when she suggested that he did. “I swear I’m fine.” 

“Are you alright?” She asked the person in front of her. They just seemed to be staring into space. And Leah wanted to make sure that nothing (emergency wise) was going on. “ Here sit for awhile before you wander off and not realize it.” @secretsummerstarters​
