Kit felt like he was going to pass out in all honesty. He’d been trying to help, patching up injuries and checking for concussions. Normal things to do in a crisis when you’re a dancer and trained in first aid. However, maybe not so normal when your knee’s throbbing and your whole trouser leg just seems to be covered in blood which you’re not sure is your own or someone else’s. The thought of never dancing again made him want to throw up, but instead he had to settle for groping around in the kitchen area looking for a first aid kit. He’d already managed to slip and knock glasses off the counter, hissing a light curse word under his breath. “Can- Oh gosh. Can someone please help me? There’s.. Not my blood but there’s blood. Everywhere? Sort of? I need help.”

chase used his vampire speed to get to kit after helping an entire group of people. but he could hear the blond’s voice among the rest of the crowd the mansion. “hey,” he breathed out putting kit’s arm around his shoulder to help him up. “you need to go to the hosp...” chase trailed off with the aroma of blood, causing his eyes to change and look away. “sorry.” he mumbled taking small breaths. “is it just your leg? oh fuck, the bone is coming out. you need to go to the hospital.”

“Uhm… Ex boyfriend actually. Sort of? We had a thing and I thought we were exclusive and I mattered to him but apparently not and-.. I’m shuttin’ up now.”

“and you didn’t tell me about him?” chase asked and then playfully nudged his arm. “dick,” he smirked. “i don’t know why you go after guys like that.. someone else is better for you. they could literally be right in front of you..” chase explained lowly then looked over to the blond. “you just have to look.”

“Ha, ha, ha. Thank you so much.” Kit rolled his eyes. “I’m just.. I trusted someone and I shouldn’t.”

“ex girlfriend...? c’mon, don’t be vague.”

“I’m such an idiot. I’m such, such an idiot, how could I have been so stupid?”

“yeah, you probably are. what did you do now?” chase playfully smirked.

    “Why do I always found chaos on my travels? It’s as if someone is desperate to get me into trouble?”

“what are you going on about?”

    “I’m honestly too tired to concentrate on what you’re trying to tell me.”

Henrik sat at the restaurant’s table. With the money he had gotten from his siblings, he decided that he wanted to try out some of the modern food. And that’s how he found himself sitting there, hamburger in hand and another one sitting on the plate in front of him. He took another bite from his hamburger and sighed. “I don’t know much about this world. But this is delicious. I could eat this all day.” He said to no one in particular before taking another bite from his hamburger.

“something tells me you’ve just woken up from a earthly slumber. and what is your name?” he asked taking a seat next to him.

“No,” Natalia giggles, reaching back for the bottle. “I’m not done.” Successfully taking the bottle, Natalia took a large drink-enjoying the burn down her throat before she stood, “Okay you guys gotta go. Or just go chill in my living room, I need to work on my car.” 

chase was slightly stumbling as he grabbed the bottle, laughing at whatever the conversation was between natalia and himself. “oh no ya don’t,” she wrapped his arms around her waist and spun her around. “you’ve had too much, you should lay down or drink more.. but my bet is on drink more.” he laughed again.

Henrik was confused. He had woken up, alone in the middle of the woods. The woods were familiar to him, he had no doubt that once his village was here, but there was nothing here anymore. Henrik walked a bit further until he reached the town, looking around both mesmerized, confused and scared at the big buildings and the cars. People also dressed differently, looked different in general. He needed to find his family, he hoped he could find them. Henrik kept standing in the middle of the street, still wearing the old clothes he had been buried with.

“hey.. hey! get out of the street!” chase yelled as he watched the boy stand in the street with the fast moving car coming his way. but it seemed as though he didn’t hear and the car didn’t appear to be stopping. without blinking, chase knocked the male out of the way, having them land on the sidewalk. “ugh,”  he groaned. “what the hell is wrong with you..” he questioned lowly as he finally stood and now glanced over the boy. chase was shocked to say the least. “henrik..?” the original’s voice almost broke seeing his supposed dead brother right before his eyes.

After he was finished, Natalia took a second to think about what he said. “Wow,” Was one word that fell from her lips in the small moment. “That’s all very…movie like?” She tried, tone hitching at the end with the smallest of small laughs. “You’re not–you’re not going to do what Ryan did, are you?”

“yeah i know. a lot to take in.” he gave a small chuckle. “hard to believe, huh? i’m surprised you haven’t ran for the hills yet... why haven’t you?” chased asked. he then moved to get close in front of her again, taking her hands in his. “i will never hurt you. i will never let anyone hurt you.” he promised.

Dark hues look to him as she noticed the look of realization cross his features–she didn’t even have to ask to make the connection that he knew who she was speaking about, but she didn’t have the will to ask who she was either. All Natalia needed to know was that she was crazy, and that was enough to push the girl away. Searching his eyes, the brunette pulled her lesser lip between her teeth as she shook her head, “No, yeah. I’d be insane to run towards it.” Maybe she’ll invest in a basement, lock herself in there–hah, dry sarcasm on her behalf towards herself. “I don’t have a death wish, I’ll stay away.” Catching his eyes she gave him what she hoped to be a reassuring smile, “I promise.” While she was twenty-two. Promises were still her thing. “Smells like Armani cologne in here–which is better than what it can be so I’m not complaining.” She responds with a small laugh. “Your faith in me is astounding, you know that?” She jokes with a teasing tone. “I don’t think I could go back home anyways–Florida, I mean.” Things were complicated there and she hated confrontation. She half wondered if mind reading was really a thing with vampires, since she’s been holding herself off because she wasn’t sure if he’d be like Ryan or not, hell she didn’t even know about him until Chase came in that night. Why was she afraid of someone who saved her again? Maybe she wasn’t afraid of him, but afraid of everything else. The girl shook her head as she brought her attention back to Chase. Sarcasm and teasing manners fell when she noticed that he grew serious, dark hues couldn’t help but drop to his lips for a moment before they took place back to his hues, “What do you want me to know?” She asked, her voice dropped a whisper.

after chase explained everything, he sighed. he told her about it all, about witches, vampires, the originals and his family, hybrids and how it happens. katherine, the salvatore brothers, bonnie. all kinds of weaknesses. the humanity switch. the talk was for maybe a good hour and half, along with answering her in between questions. it was a lot to process but he wanted to open with her. “so.. how do you feel? you know, about everything?”

Kyle went to go reply something witty but heaved a deep breath seeing it was just Chase. “I can’t find my little sister. She’s not answering her phone and this would make so much more sense if you knew why I’m so bothered.” He shakes his head, trying her cell again.

chase placed his hand on firmly on kyle’s shoulder in hopes that it would calm him down. “hey, everything just got back to normal. give it a second.” he said staring into his eyes for reassurance. “it’s going to be okay man.”
