The Champs residency at dj's in North Beach, San Francisco c. 1964- would later morph into Mother's which was considered the first psychedelic nightclub. Boss deejays Tom Donahue and Bobby Mitchell from KYA radio opened Mother’s in the summer of 1965.

First release by Detroit-based artist T.J. Fowler in 1948. He and his band backed Paul "Hucklebuck" Williams on some Savoy Records dates prior to recording as a leader. He later worked as a consultant for Berry Gordy in the early days of Motown.
