Ok but Gunther was so fun in this episode! And Chris was so smart figuring out the puzzle with the paper so quickly. Usually they struggle with riddles and the like, but Chris instantly was like "Let's cry! That will let us read it."

AND HE WAS RIGHT!!! I LOVE HOW CRAZYILY EFFECTIVE HIS CHAOTIC BRAIN CAN BE XDDD.

Also the gang tearing up was adorable and hilarious, and this might be my new favorite episode of Campaign 3 XD. Love Kanon!

In that alternate world where Kakashi and Gai switch perspectives, where Kakashi is all "Youth! Life! Banzai!" And Gai is all "I'm too old for this..."

Do you think that world started off normal...but then everything changed when Dai died?

That Gai, rather than picking up his father's mantle and philosophy of youth, fell into a depression and lost his light without him...

And in turn, seeing his friend falling into darkness, Kakashi chose to pick up the torch and be the light Gai always used to be for him?

That Kakashi acts that way and is always there for Gai, always challenging him, pushing him forward, yelling about youth.. because he's being the rival Gai needs him to be. Just as Gai was for him in our world.

Just something I was thinking about after seeing the clips and reading a fanfic XD

So about Gai's and Kakashi's last name... individually their names are perfect but if you wanna pair them up, they sound terrible (Kakashi Maito. Gai Hatake 😖). But... what if the two made their own last name.

Neither come from a clan, so they both may not have a strong identity attatched to it. And either way they can't pass their name down to an heir, because they can't have kids together.

So inagine if the two decided to both ditch their last names and come up with a new one. This could even work well in an au where the two abandon their village together, and decide "having a new name would make it harder to track is down. Let's brain storm."

Anyways, anyone have any ideas on what their new lasr name could be?

Woops. Turns out Frank&Stein died in a vut away scene after Carol died. They got a news letter explaining what happened and now I'm extra sad again... Micah really planned for this to be a tragedy from the beginning TT-TT

Something I noticed after going through the Grotethe saga, is that all the leaders of each realm ends up dying in a way the party can not save, EXCEPT for Frank & Stein.

And I'm not sure if that was intentional in the story. As when Mathilde cuts the rope, there were villains above them, and then they were able to get a bunch of good rolls on Eddie, before giving the heart back.

So I think originally, Micah did plan to maybe have Frank and Stein die as well. But the group rolled so well and had such convincing arguments, that they managed to get a good end for him.

That said, I noticed after this, there were almost full on cut scenes to stop the party from being able to save the leaders hence forth, and everyone else ended up dying. I think Micah learned not to underestimate them, and made certain deaths canon events to prevent the group from saving anyone else.

That said... part of me wonders if there's the chance we'll see Frank & Stein again in the new campaign. Or how the old campaign will bleed into this one, as reincarnation will be a part of the theme.

Was talking to my sister, and as usual, she had great ideas XD.

Like the idea of Gai getting Kakashi to talk to him by reading Icha Icha, and comparing Kakashi to a character he KNOWS Kakashi would hate, to get a rise out of him and make him accept his challenges XD.

Gai spending two months reading this book, because he has to constantly stop and roll away from it because he gets overwhelmed and flustered, and has to retreat.

Gai discussing the themes and subplots, and side pairings of the book with Kakashi, to engage with him about his interests.

Kakashi yelling about how he is NOT like character X. And then ending up resolving the argument how character X would (with kinky times XD).

Gai and Kakashi using Icha Icha to help convey their own feelings, either intentionally or unintentionally.

The reason KakaGai works so well, is because Kakashi has a big dick, and Gai has a big mouth.

Its a match made in heaven.

I wish Kuronai had a few more battles/ episodes to flesh her out more. Maybe some combo missions beside Gai because thematically, a Genjutsu specialist and a Taijutsu specialist are on complete opposite ends in terms of how they opperate. It would be neat to see a genjutsu specialist at work who doesn't have a sharingon.

Also it would be cool if she used a range attack and I would get to see if my theory was true. That one can get out of genjutsu if they activate one of the eight gates.

But no~ only boys and older woman get character development. *sulk*

I kind of like that in all Stinky Dragon campaigns, there is an unspoken leader in each group.

For the Infanights, I think it's not crazy to say that Bart was more often the leader of the party. He kept them all connected. He helped come up with a lot of schemes and plans. He was the only one with good intelligence and charisma stats so he talked to the town people a lot. Also because Barbara kept the most accurate notes, she would be the one to recite plot points and remind everyone of the goal or lore.

In Grotethe, I think it's another safe bet to consider Chip the leader. His outspoken and very bright outlook on things kept the group together. He knew how to manage the relationships when things got tough and helped everyone see each other's point of view. If he got distracted, either with something silly or with the character drama, Mathilde helped keep them on track by moving forward. Also I feel the other three were mostly loners before they came across Chip, and his extraverted nature, really made sure the team felt cohesive and together.

And now in Campaign 3, so far I'd say Nattie feels like the leader. She keeps things on track, she's always checking in on the emotional well being of her team, she's smart and forward thinking, and she likes to learn more about the group she's with and legitimately wants to be friends with them.

It's really cool to see how each campaign changes, but one thing that seems consistent is that the person with the highest charisma stat, tends to be the one to lead the party.

Gai is 14 when this happens like in canon. Therefore, he must act like the crazy, 14 year old orphan that he is, and it will be messy *w*

Day 5 Kakagai Valentines Week: Man of Destiny/ Eternal Rivals

They are each other's man of destiny.

No matter how far apart...

They always find each other.

Even in another universe

Even if they can't recognize the other

Even after their worst fights

They'll always make up

For that's what it means to be Eternal Rivals

Day 4 Kakagai Week, AU Iwaverse

IwaGai is such a fun AU because it asks SO many questions. What is Gai like in another village? Under a different kage? A different culture? Was he able to find an eternal rival? How are he and his papa treated in another village where physical strength seems to be praised on the level as ninjutsu. Would he have the opportunity to be just as strong as he is in Konoha? Stronger?! There are a lot of benefits training in a higher altitude can give you and Iwa is located in the mountains.

On Kakashi's part, it's just as interesting! Kakashi was in ANBU. he fought in in the third ninja war, he was trained to kill enemy ninjas since he was 5 years old. He's one of Konoha's most powerful and cut throat ninjas and he does not hesitate in removing his target. And without someone constantly watching his back and bringing light in the world and fighting for his best interest, where would he be?

So one has to ask, how did they meet and not kill each other right away? What did Gai do that managed to get through Kakashi's shell?! How do they make it work when they're so far apart? Will he convince Gai to betray his nation and defect to Konoha? Could it somehow reverse and Gai might convince Kakashi to join him in Iwa? Do they both leave and become missing nin together?!

Just so many things to consider and the world building needed to make this work is so exciting!
