The Portal
It was dark out, which Jack had thought was the best time to do what needed to be done. It would hurt like crazy but he knew that without this new portal, it was unclear as to how long the other members of Storybrooke would be trapped in Neverland.
No one was around, and Jack knew that it was now or never. He pulled out his pocket watch and placed it on the floor. Then Jack started to shift, his whole body was aching as his bones started to crack and rearrange themselves so he was soon to be a rabbit. His screams could have probably woke up the whole town but there was nothing to be done about it.
When he was in his rabbit self, Jack's right foot patted the ground and turned his pocket watch a couple of times. Then with his paw, he traced the outline of a circle right in the middle of the town and it soon started to grow. Jack suddenly became very hot and then he started to sweat. The circle, or rather portal was finally stable and was ready for the missing townsfolk to come through. Jack smiled and then sunk to the ground, and then he started to slowly turn back into his human self.

"It isn't that hard to see who has gone," Jack smiled. He took a moment to look around the room, it was a fairly simple room with hardly any personal objects, but then again August had mentioned that he was always on the road.
Jack stood up and smiled at August, "Listen, I'm going to be direct and honest with you. You split up Neal, or Bae what ever his name is and made him put our Miss Swan in a low security prison. I think you owe him one, and of course you owe her but I can only help out with the one who is stuck in another land." Jack opened the mans door and was half way out of it before he turned around and said, "You humor me to think that I was after objects or money. I have plenty of both but what I do want is a favor. I'll call it in sometime in the future."
A deal and a puppet // Jack and August
August held his tongue as Jack pushed passed him. He had enough enemies and bad decisions in his life that he didn’t want more. Closing the door behind him, August sat at his desk chair facing Jack ready to hear what the rabbit had to offer.
"You’ll return one person from that portal?" August asked. It wasn’t really a question so he could understand what Jack had said better but more ass a way so he could let it sink in. “I don’t even know who has gone and who has stayed. And what could I possibly offer you? In case you hadn’t noticed I don’t really have much."

"Now, now Puppet," Jack smiled as he pushed passed August and into his little room, "Is that any way to treat a guest?" Jack sat at the end of August's bed, but only after he walked once around the room, taking in his surroundings.
"You need me," Jack said as he crossed his legs. The truth of the matter was that if anyone else in this town knew of his abilities, they would be banging down his door, begging him to get their loved ones back. "I have a deal for you, I will return one person from whatever land they had landed in a few days ago. But trust me on this Puppet," Jack smiled his famous cocky smile, "I will need something in return."
A deal and a puppet // Jack and August
August was working on his writing, a task which was long overdue. Even though he was more of a freelance writer, his publisher had given him the chance to be a shadow writer for a more known author and had demanded a set number of pages. It wasn’t until he had just gotten into the flow of writing again that he heard a light knock on his door. A voice on the other side made him know it was. Great he thought.
Opening the door to Jack he had no idea why the rabbit had wanted to speak to him or why he thought August wanted to see him. “What? Why would I want to see you?" he asked trying not to sound harsh.

A deal and a puppet // Jack and August
After his little talk with Alice, Jack knew that there was a certain puppet in this town that had known about his little talent and because of this, Jack knew that the puppet would want to use it, but Jack was never one to do favors for free.
He walked into the inn and asked for Mr. Booth's room number and then he almost ran up the stairs to find him. He knocked lightly at the door and waited for an answer. "August, its Jack. I have a feeling that you would want to see me?"

Jack allowed himself to think back to the time when this girl had stuffed him in a sack. It was extremely uncomfortable but she had no idea who he was, even back then. He laughed a little with her when she spoke of her confusion.
Jack had no idea what to do with the girl now that she had started crying in front of him, this type of interaction made him uncomfortable so he just awkwardly patted her hand. "Falling in love is the worst thing," He had as he moved his hand away, "Your heart aches for them when you are apart and just feels so heavy when you are finally reunited. Well so I have heard. I'm lucky enough to not share the pain of love."
Jack got up out of his seat and put a few dollar notes on the table as well as his card. "My number is there if you would ever like to talk to me. I'm afraid I must go, a puppet needs my help with something that I simply can not avoid." Jack grabbed her hand and kissed it lightly and politely and smiled up at the girl. "Any time you feel like talking, and I mean any time, give that number a call." Jack then turned his back and walked out of the diner and straight into the inn next door.
Memories // Jack and Alice
Alice frowned, “It wasn’t terrible growing up… it’s just hard to relive these memories, they’re painful… anyway, when I grew up I returned to Wonderland, I told my father about it but he thought I was insane. So I went to get proof, I’m sure you’ve heard of the White Rabbit Mr. Chase? He’s the one I miss took you for." Alice couldn’t help but laugh to herself, “I stuffed him in a sack and intended to bring him back to my father as proof. But I came upon a genie named Cyrus, we traveled the realms together fighting pirates, swimming with mermaids." Tears trickled freely down her cheeks, she angrily scrubbed them away with her palms. Now her voice was trembling as she spoke, “we fell in love," Alice’s voice cracked over the word love and she burst into tears anew.

Jack listened intently as Alice started to describe his Wonderland. There wasn't anything he liked more than hearing of his home world through the words of others. It had seemed each person had grasped different wonders of Wonderland and had thought that the tiny piece of Wonderland they had sampled or remembered was more than enough. It made him a little home sick, but that feeling was soon pushed away. "Growing up is a terrible thing," Jack smiled back at her. He had remembered when his mother had made him grow up, she had stopped him from running into other worlds and trained his magic so that he could not be matched by anyone. "What was so terrible about you growing up, Miss Alice?"
Memories // Jack and Alice
Alice frowned thinking over their conversation outside, maybe she had said Wonderland… she couldn't distinctly remember. So she decided to set aside the troublesome thought for a later date. Now, focusing on happier things, she smiled brightly at her companion and said sweetly, " So Mr. Chase, you want to know about the wondrous world of Wonderland… well it’s a very long, very interesting story. the short version is, I was an ignored little girl when I first appeared in Wonderland and had all sorts of adventures there. And when I grew up…" Alice trailed off looking sad and downcast once more.

Jack stopped instantly. He knew he had made a small mistake, but mistakes can be fixed. "You did," He said slowly placing his cup on the table, "Before when we were both outside. When you mistook me for a rabbit." Jack laughed a little when he spoke about her confusion. He smiled up at her again, but not his usual smile, this on was dark and mysterious and not many people had seen this side of him.
Memories // Jack and Alice
"Well I-" Alice stopped dead, her eyes locked on her companion, her eyes narrowed as her suspicions rose. Who was this man? And how did he know she’d been to Wonderland if she had never said anything about the cursed place. Alice crossed her arms, “I never said anything about Wonderland."

"It's silly really," Alice blushed "I- I lost somebody a long time ago, I was told he was alive, and I've been looking for him. You just... reminded me of a friend of ours that's all." By the time Alice had finished she was nervously playing with her heart necklace and could not bring herself to meet her companion's eyes.
"That's an interesting trinket," Jack said nodding towards the heart shaped necklace that Alice had been playing with. It looks similar so he had wondered if it was from his world, or rather his Wonderland. "So if you wouldn't mind," Jack said as he took a sip of his tea, "could you tell me about this Wonderland? I'm a writer and I love hearing different takes on classic stories."

Jack grinned to himself as he led her into Grannys Diner, hardly anyone was there due to the portal that had arrived in town, that same portal that the puppet had accused Jack of summoning. "So why did you think I was this rabbit of yours?" Jack said looking up from his freshly brewed cup of tea. The girl had seemed to sad, but loosing the one person that you had gave your heart to can do that to a person.
Memories // Alice and Jack
Alice smiled, a cup of tea sounded heavenly at the moment. using every ounce of decorum and grace she had inside her Alice smiled politely at the kind gentleman before her. “I’d be delighted,”

"I'm not saying that you are crazy," Jack smirked, "I'm just saying that you have me confused with someone else." Jack knew that the matters of her brain was a complex thing to Alice, so he knew how to play her, and with her now not knowing who he was, just made this situation perfect. "Shall we go and get a hot drink. I quite fancy a cup of tea."
Memories // Alice and Jack
Alice blinked "I'm not crazy," Alice said but even to her ears the argument sounded weak and defeated. She silently took the card and sighed. "forgive me sir, it's this head of mine. It's always making mistakes. I was just hoping that perhaps there was someone in this town that I knew." Alice blushed, "I suppose not."

"My darling," Jack grinned, "I have no idea who you are taking about, I mean knaves and it seems talking rabbits? It seems to me that you are confusing reality and fairy tales." Jack reached into his jacket pocket once more and handed Alice his business card. It had his name and the firm that he worked for printed on along with a telephone number. "I have more identification took you you know, something that proves I'm not a talking rabbit." Jack had found it incredibly hard to stifle his laugh, but it was important that Alice did not recognise him, he still had plans for her...
Memories // Alice and Jack
Alice wiped her tears, she frowned as the pieces of the puzzle came together. “How are you human?” She asked getting to her feet, “The Knave said he was alive! And don’t play games with me Rabbit you know who I’m talking about.” She had been very close with the white rabbit in Wonderland. But right now Alice was desperate and found his smile very irritating.

Jack took the pocket watch off of Alice and snapped it shut. He placed the watch in his inside breast pocket of his jacket and smiled his usual cocky smile at the young woman. "Who?" Jack winked. "That pocket watch shows the holder where they want to go, or who they would like to reach." Jack patted his chest, to where the watch was, "A thing of beauty isn't it? I have to admit, I never usually go to antique stores but Mr.Golds is something entirely different."
Memories: Alice/Jack
The moment Alice saw Cyrus’ face she began to tear up. She reached for her heart necklace, that lay cold and lifeless, and squeezed it for strength. “Do you know were he is?” Alice asked through burning tears.

Jack smiled down at the watch, "Does it?" He asked with a slight grimace. He looked at the young woman with a certain type of fondness, they had both grown so close in Wonderland, despite her trying to kidnap him to prove to her father that she wasn't crazy. "Here," Jack said as he took the watch, "Watch this." Jack spun the pocket watch hands a certain way to reveal a picture. It was of the young woman's genie...
Memories \\ Alice and Jack
Alice took the pocket watch blushing slightly, "Thank you Mr. Chase, I'm Alice. Alice Redding." The watch seemed familiar, a little too familiar. Carefully Alice turned the watch over and gasped. No it couldn't be...

Jack smiled to himself at Alice's slight recognition of him. It seems that the girl had not blocked out all of her memories of Wonderland. "I don't think you do," Jack almost whispered so close to Alice's ear. He picked up his pocket watch and brushed the dirt away. Some of the grounds dirt was caught in the various engravings that mimicked some pattern back on his castle walls in Wonderland. "Here," Jack said as he passed the pocket watch to Alice, "I think you need it more than I do. My name is Jack, Jack Chase. I didn't quite catch your name."
Memories // Jack and Alice
Alice had been walking along when something solid collided into her knocking her down in the process. "Oh!" Alice looked up into the face of a young man. She didn't recognize him but there was something familiar about him, and he was handsome. Not nearly as handsome as Cyrus, but still handsome. "I'm sorry," Alice said "Do I know you?"
