Helloy FT Fandom of Tumblr

Tra'viin Tome'mir by GemmaRose. A series with a Sense8 style mindscape-sharing Dragon Slayers. I'm obsessed with this entire thing. I am not normal about it. It's everything I ever wanted with the dragon slayer dynamic in a ft rewrite-type fic.

Faeries, Dragons, and Demons this story has been disconned and orphanned, but I still believe it's the best rewrite of FT of all time.

The Fourth Of Jellal by dragonshost when I say the concept of this fic has me by the chokehold pls. Mystogan becomes Master against his every will and he ends up having to actually confront existing in the Fairy Tail guild hall. I never realized how much I craved Mystogan interactions with his Earthland family until now.

D for Dragon Slayers by Beastrage ahhh this crossover between One Piece and Fairy Tail??? It gets my mind reeling. Seeing these unhinged feral mongrels with their un-understandable powers just existing in the One Piece world and the way they all react to them... I so desperately want them to reunite. I will die if they don't. I will.

Natsu's emotional intelligence is greatly underestimated. He is anything but blissfully unaware; he is highly perceptive of how others feel and reacts accordingly. For instance, when Jellal was about to be arrested by the Magic Council towards the end of the Oracion Seis arc, he could sense Erza's turmoil and understood what the former meant to her which led to him taking a stand for Jellal. He reassured Juvia that they would get Gray back during the Avatar arc. He was mature enough to put up an innocent charade of incompetence to keep Asuka happy. He has lent emotional support to Lucy on several occasions and showcased utmost sensitivity.

That brings us to two questions: Why does he play the clueless fool and what will make him acknowledge his feelings and, eventually, act on them?

First, it is my interpretation that what terrifies Natsu more than anything else in the world is loss. He cannot so much as entertain the possibility of losing the people he loves. Let alone accept its inevitability. It is why he adheres to a maladaptive coping style where he simply avoids difficult situations and feelings. Instead of facing the reality of Igneel's death and allowing himself to be supported by his friends, he chose to isolate himself from everyone with only Happy for company. Natsu would sooner bear the burden of the entire world than share his own with his friends.

When the situation is under control and whatever crisis they're facing is averted, he wilfully regresses to his childish ways, content with the knowledge that he wouldn't have to face his feelings or address them. That everything will be how it always has been.

For Natsu to experience growth, he will have to experience a loss from which he can neither escape nor avoid. It shouldn't be a permanent one but it needs to last a while and end with the realisation that life is too short to not be savoured in its entirety. That he needs to break out of the shell he so stubbornly clings to and let people in.

Then there are his feelings for Lucy, who, I daresay, is in an entirely different category from the rest of his friends.

His words to Lucy at the end of the manga, that they will always be together, are not so much a statement, as they are a promise, both to her and to himself for when he believed that he had lost her forever, the outcome was frightening. Much like his brother Zeref, whose whole tragedy was triggered by his inability to come to terms with losing the one he loved most, Natsu's intense devotion for Lucy can bring out the worst in him.

For NaLu to unite for good, I need them to be apart for a while. When faced with the reality that Lucy might not be by his side forever or vice versa, Natsu will have no choice but to face his demons and get his act together. It will not be an easy process but a little angst has never harmed anyone.

After processing what happened in Elation's events, I'm officially terrified for Marinette.

Because of her almost being akumatized, Gabriel now knows about Chat Noir's love for her too. And that's definitely something he's going to try and use against him. Whether this means putting Marinette in danger or trying to akumatize her again, I'm not sure which direction the writers will take it in but honestly, I'm hoping for the second one.

I know it's unlikely since Thomas said Marinette getting akumatized “wouldn't work” and that it “makes no sense” when really that's just not true, he's just stubborn. But imagine Marinette getting in more frequent scenarios where she's shaken enough to almost get akumatized, and each time it gets closer and closer to happening. But Chat's there to stop it everytime.

I'm just hoping the writers don't forget that Gabriel literally knowing about Chat Noir's love for Marinette has some serious repercussions. That it isn't completely sidelined and overshadowed, never brought up again or never acted on. He knows, he's aware. And he's most likely going to use the love Chat has for Mari against him because he knows it could be his undoing.

Either he'll target her and put her in constant danger until Chat has no choice but to do something about it, or he'll try and akumatize her, because Chat having to fight the girl he loves? It would break him.

Sorry I can't shut up about all the episodes we just got, but did anybody else think it was so cute when Marinette and Chat Noir were flirting and we got to see Marinette's settle reactions. This is one of the first incidents they got to flirt openly and overtly with the other person FLIRTING BACK (not counting the cute banter the love square may have had previously).

Marinette and Chat Noir both were acting smooth, but obvious in their desires. It was clear they both wanted to see one another with to flirt. We never seen Marinette be able to keep herself in a moment like this for so long, usually she becomes fluster or says something wild. And we know the girl has game! We see this when she flirts with Chat Noir as Ladybug: she is confident, but carries over that overzealous attitude still that sometimes backfires.

So it was really cute when we got a close up of her glimmering eyes darting back and forth slightly after she is confident Chat Noir is reciprocating her feelings.

To me, she was containing her excitement, she finally got a boy she loves to like her back and act on it! She gave herself a moment to celebrate and feel elated 😏 before continuing her conversation with Chat Noir.

The love square has had many great moments, but this was just different because they both allow themselves to indulge in romance something that has been a root to their misunderstandings when they were not sure if their respective crush like them. It was nice to see how happy the both of them were before it went south.
