Picked up our blade sign bracket from the fabricator today (sign pictured, bracket not pictured).  Mere days away from completing the Island Cowgirl Jewelry new sign project.  Only started this last September.
Again, a shout out to Tye at Saunzee signs (saunzee.com) for the cool rusted metal logo sign on recycled barn wood.
Also, coming to the end of the Island Cowgirl Jewelry new wholesale display project.  The last of the rusted sheet metal letting the clear coat dry before Gorilla glueing on a jewelry display pad.  Waiting for the fabricator to finish up the stamp for the copper logo plates that will adorn each awesome handmade displays.

Love Has Paws...and sometimes Horseshoes....
Love Has Paws bracelet, Open Paw ring and Open Paw necklace are all inspired by Nigel the Island Cowgirl Jewelry mascot and action muppet.
The bracelet has the phrase Love Has Paws etched on the back.

Today's theme - French or France
Top Photo = the original European Family Vacation (a few years before the Chevy Chase version).  This typical family in front of landmark, blurry photo taken by my dad with his really expensive Nikon he bought for the trip.
Middle Photos: Fleur De Lis Necklaces by Island Cowgirl Jewelry.  Each has a inspirational phrase etched on the back.  Brave Heart and Seek Fortitude.
Bottom Photo: Back in Paris last summer.  This shot taken by my fiancee with an iphone and a .99 app.  My has photography changed.

Walk Boldly, Grow Wise necklace by Island Cowgirl Jewelry.
A hand carved tree with a small heart and the inspirational phrase Walk Boldly, Grow Wise etched on the back.
A great gift for graduation, either high school or college.  As the person will need to remember these words as they enter the crazy grown-up/adult/one your own world.

NEW STORE SIGNS!
New store sign for Island Cowgirl Jewelry courtesy of Saunzee Custom Signs (saunzee.com).  Sign is rusted sheet metal with a hand painted logo.  It is replacing the current white, boring, old logo sign above the window.
Another smaller blade sign will hang perpendicular to the building to catch more eyeballs.
Yes, that is me installing the sign.  Marketing involves a wide spectrum of duties/activities/projects/chores/skills.

Really like this image.  I did not take this image, but I need to use it in marketing Island Cowgirl Jewelry.  So, I tweeted it, pinned it on Pinterest, posted to FB and now it's Tumbling.  The Island Cowgirl creative department just got a new lens for the Nikon D90 for multiple product shots and a couple new iphone apps for images.  More of these cool shots and some lifestyle shots coming soon.

Is this an ocean bed or planet?  Neither...
What does this have to do with marketing?  This is a piece of sheet metal that I let rust on the back patio and will sand down to take the orange layer off.  Once sanded, I will give this a clear coat of satin finish and Gorilla glue a jewelry pad on it.  The finishing touch will be an Island Cowgirl copper stamped logo in the corner.  These will be for wholesale customers.
This is one of 50 I am doing now and will be doing another 50 this week.

My first set of wheels!
1978 Oldsmobile Starfire.
Mine was canary yellow and eventually had two white doors...Sweet!
Oh yea, this blog is supposed to be about marketing.  Comments on this ad:
1. Olds did use the word 'little' in front of 4-seater.  Therefore, not entirely a false statement.  The back seats were LITTLE!
2. Not even sure what the background is supposed to be...journey to the center of the earth portal?  Actually, looks like they are in hell.  But they look so happy with their new vehicle purchase.
3. Wait...Starfire...Duh!  They are inside a supernova or a star on fire.  Subliminal message: This car is HOT!
4. I did own one and it was a good 'sporty little 4-seater'.  For such a small car it surprisingly had a V6 engine.  My friends at college would borrow it as often as possible as it was fun to drive.
