Noticed an amusingly apt subtle difference between Potop the book and Potop the movie, with regards to Kmicic meeting Kuklinowski

in the book, we have a whole minor point of tension where Kmicic can't help but almost shoot a retreating annoying messenger with a cannon because he's 💅🤷‍♀️quirky🤷‍♀️💅 like that (and a goddam Marty Stu since he suffers no consequences)

and that's why Kuklinowski, when it's his turn, says he doesn't feel safe as an envoy and wants someone to escort him in and out - leading to the "private" conversation with Kmicic at the end of which he's rolling down a hill on his ass

BUT. the movie omits this bit entirely

so, without it, what we get is that Kuklinowski enters the enemy fortress, encounters a handsome young nobleman half his age, and spontaneously decides to stay in his company for an extra minute

okay sure, we didn't ask but we ain't complaining thanks
