Some of my Random LMK Headcanons
• Wukong is ambidextrous.
• Pigsy sings like Teddy Swims.
• Mei is a fan of Freedom Planet and she can't decide whether she likes Lilac or Carol more.
• Because he's immortal, Wukong doesn't need to eat or sleep, but still does because he enjoys it. Similar to Amethyst from Steven Universe.
• MK was born during the year of the Monkey.
• MK and Mr. Tang have gone to a few Monkey King conventions in the past and would cosplay as Wukong and the Monk respectively.
• Mei can't sing. She can dance though.
• Wukong CAN sing and dance, but because of his severe stage fright, you never get to hear him. He'll sing privately though (i.e. in the shower).
• MK and Mei are both fans of Sonic The Hedgehog. MK has even gotten Wukong into the series. Now Wukong will sometimes call Macaque "Shadow the Hedgemonkey".
• Macaque's got the abs, but Wukong's got the pecs!
• Sandy has a blog dedicated to Mo.
• Red Son will sometimes just casually snack on some ghost peppers. He also hates ice cream.
• During the Brotherhood, Azure and DBK would sometimes have arm wrestling competitions.
• Wukong and Macaque are both fluent in Mandarin, English, and various other languages that LMK has been dubbed in. However, Wukong still has trouble with spelling.
• Wukong's favorite Disney movie is actually Aladdin, not Mulan (though Mulan is a close second). He loves Abu, can relate to both Aladdin and the Genie in different ways, and even mentions to others that in the original version of the story, Aladdin was Chinese.
• Though they both like Traditional Chinese music, when it comes to modern music, Wukong and Macaque both think that the other monkey's music taste is garbage. Despite that however, the one song that they can agree on liking is "Dance Monkey".

lego monkie kid is such a funny show. the two characters that are basically MK's best friends [Mei and Red Son] are filthy rich. MKs mentor is THE Sun Wukong and therefore has all kinds of merchandise so you know that guy is living well. MK himself works a 9-5 job at a restaurant his DAD owns.

reasons why MK is The Protagonist Of All Time™️
- MK's two best friends are fucking millionaires. one of them is literally royalty. Wukong, his mentor, is basically a known celebrity and has comic books, two known tv shows, two known cardboard cutouts, cereal, candy bars, action figures, plushies, a fucking video game, and more [keep in mind this id just in-universe], so hes definitely loaded in cash. MK not only works at a 9-5 job for a business his dad owns and is also the only one of these four characters with a job.
- he once ate cursed meatballs which resulted in him getting hiccups so bad they caused fucking earthquakes. after having said hiccups cured he openly admitted to wanting more cursed meatballs.
- there's an entire episode dedicated to showcasing how this guy cannot pay attention. at all.
- the dude has ZERO fucking impulse control and does NOT intend on gaining any. he climbed up an entire building, fell off, and climbed it from a different side in a matter of seconds. because he thought he saw his childhood hero.
- he can summon a giant robot at will???? and no one questions it???????
- he accidentally shrunk his uncle once.
- hes guilty of murdering four people and two of them were on accident.
- he didnt know he wasnt a human being until like. a week ago. he just had the ability to kill god one day and never questioned it. he was literally told of his entire origin and went "no, im NormalMan 9000. trust me."
- his dad quite literally saw him standing outside his shop one day and went "oh, fuck. no one ELSE is gonna adopt this random child!" and took him in without hesitation.
- accidentally turned his hands into dogs once.
- he killed the second jade emperor.
- he's scared of spiders.
feel free to add more because this is just the stuff i remember

LMK Celestial Monkey Theory
So! In the original Journey to the west. Celestial Monkeys are described to have been in a category all on their own. They are not gods, mortals, beasts, demons, or anything of the sort and canNOT fall in any category of the natural order.
The reason for this is because they’re meant to be pure forms of chaos to balance out the rest of the world’s Order. Yin and Yang sort of thing. Especially considering how powerful every celestial monkey is described as well as how they only seem to come to be by pure chaotic chance. (MK’s birth pending of course)
Now Chaos is not a bad thing inherently, not at all. It’s what keeps Tyrants from power long-term, and keeps our lives interesting from day to day. Another aspect of this is that the Celestial Monkey’s power levels directly correlates to the balance of Order/Chaos in the world already. More Order? The Monkeys have way more packed behind their punches. And each of em gets a stronger urge to cause mischief & maybe get a little feral. (Never losing themselves to being wild animals tho. After all they’re SMART. As MK has said “There’s nothing mindless about me, Friend.”) But also alternatively, if there’s more chaos in the world than order they themselves get weaker in comparison. They still have access to all their powers, buuut for example their super strength isn’t AS super as before.
I mean after all, who have been MK’s biggest baddies? People wanting to bring about a whole new world order. DBK, Spider Queen, LBD, and Azure Lion all wanted to reshape the world into a new world order and who was there to stop them? MK, our little harbringer of Chaos.

I don't understand the discourse surrounding the idea that the Demon Bull Family + Macaque weren't made to face consequences for their actions when Wukong is constantly being treated like a villain... because... that's literally not true? like at all?
Macaque and DBK were actually villains; their whole relationship with MK up until the more recent episodes was antagonistic. It was normal for them to attack or hurt the main characters. The show doesn't need the main characters to shout "Macaque, attacking and tricking MK was kind of screwed up" because... he knows that?
The entire cast knows that?
The reason that the consequences of their past actions aren’t thrown in their face is because MK isn't the kind of person to hold a person's mistakes over their heads. He could have called them out on it, but does he really need to? I mean, attempting to punch someone in the face doesn't exactly scream "I'm fine with your actions." He was mad; furious even... but he chose to look past it in the end.
That's what sets MK apart.
It would be normal to turn up your nose at someone who treated you like the DBK/Macaque have treated MK. I feel like that's kind of the point? Neither of them earned their redemption - it was just something MK offered to them because he likes making friends more than he likes keeping enemies.
He's a "good kid" as Macaque put it.
He didn't owe them anything, but he still offered an olive branch.
The reason nobody else calls them out on it?
Well, MK is their friend; they trust him completely and will always have his back. If MK decides he's willing to move past what happened and offer someone a clean slate, then his friends will do the same. You best believe that Mei and Pigsy wouldn't hesitate to tear Macaque or DBK a new one if MK got hurt again, though. It's not about forgetting what happened, just looking past it and letting them choose how they want to proceed.
It's different for Wukong, though.
The reason why Mei was so mad at Wukong wasn't because he was somehow worse than Macaque or DBK. If it were anyone else, she wouldn't have been using her words; she would have gone straight to throwing punches. No. She was mad at him because he MK was upset. She knows MK is tough; someone will kick him in the stomach and he'll offer them a bowl of noodles. She knows that, because she knows her friend.
What really gets to MK though his self-doubt, his insecurities, the trust he has in the people closest to him. She was mad because she couldn't protect MK, but more-so because she relied on Wukong to do the same. DBK can't break MK. Macaque can't break MK. Make him sad or furious, sure... but break him? No. Wukong? Wukong could break him. If his lie had resulted in Mei's death there was zero percent chance that MK would have been alright.
It was obvious Wukong hadn’t intended to hurt him, but he almost did and she was kind of upset about it!
Is this making sense to anyone?
I mean... ???
I honestly feel like way too many people are mistaking MK's characterization as a kind and forgiving person who can turn enemies into friends as narrative approval, and Wukong’s characterization as someone who takes the idea of “protecting” his loved ones a little too far and ends up keeping them in the dark instead/the cast’s reactions to this as narrative disapproval.
I never felt as though the show was making the argument that SWK was a bad person. It just feels like he’s a hero who got used to handling all the world’s problems on his own and expects too much of himself because of it, relearning how to connect and share burdens with other people… and I’m pretty sure that’s what they were going for?
He was never perfect but even Macaque, who literally hated him, has started to reevaluate the way he sees Wukong and even almost went so far as defending him when they were in the scroll.
On the opposite end of things, Macaque and DBK are villains who are trying to be better people because MK saw and acknowledged that potential in them, and it made them want to do better.
Is that just me? am I crazy? hello?
