A friendly mod note as we continue in Samtember; while we appreciate that people are inspired by our prompts, this is a Sam-centric event and therefore we will only be accepting submissions that adhere to our rules & guidelines, specifically rule number one which is “All creations should be focused on Sam Wilson.”

This does not simply mean, for fic, that it must be in Sam’s POV; in fact in many cases a Sam POV fic may not be Sam-centric at all (see this post and this post for further clarity on what we mean.) Fic that is Sam-centric focuses on Sam’s experiences, relationships, thoughts, emotions, as they pertain to his own self and not solely linked to other characters, particularly white characters. For further information on writing Sam specifically and writing characters of color in general, please review this selection of resources from the @samwilsonbirthdaybang event.

To everyone who has participated so far in good faith, thank you. To everyone else, please consider your motivations and the content of your creation before you use our prompts and tag us for promotion.

Your mods are not perfect and we’re doing our best to curate the submissions, but if you feel there has been a significant error then we welcome you to send an ask (we will answer it privately) and let us know.

A cute little drawing for my first @samwilsonfest Samtember & @marvelartparty Stick Figure Bingo fill!

I combined the Sunglasses and Motorcycle prompts. 😆😂 and yes, my "stick figure" got completely away from me. but in my defense, while drawing I accidentally got kind of obsessed with the idea of Sam as a motocross racer and I just kept adding more and more detail. I'm really happy with the drawing though!
