.・゜゜・  a confident grin overtook his lips , over - familiarwith the cheerleader in front of him . “ this year looking good for you ? or are you going to have to carry your team on your back ? ” he asked , placing a hand on her hip . as if competition wasn’t enough of a rush for him , ( although he’d never admit it ) he liked seeing riley at competitions . “ right . i’m sure competitions are all work & no play for you ,right ? ”

   the blonde tightened her high bony before putting her hands on her hips. “less competition?” she repeated. “you don’t think you could beat them, huh?” she teased, her head cocking to the side. 

.・゜゜・ “ now where did you get THAT from that pretty little head of yours ? ” he asked , a confident smile taking over his features . “ i’m just saying : it’d be embarrassing for me competing against someone that couldn’t even make it through the first week at competition . total waste of time , besides , i already know who to watch out for . ”

.・゜゜・ it hadn’t mattered that he hadn’t completely unpacked , alexander wasn’t going to fuck up HIS schedule just because he wasn’t home anymore . four miles at five am . & another two miles at noon as a warm up before he hit the gym . slowing to a jog , his eyes landed on someone who he was FAIRLY sure was part of nationals , taking one of his headphones out of his ear , he nodded to them . “ huh . first out of eight weeks & already slacking ? ” his tone was half joking , raising an eyebrow . “ what kind of example are you setting ? ”

     “i heard that a team has been sent home already, because their pyramid fell and too many of them are injured. pathetic. if you aren’t up to the challenge, don’t step up to the play.”

.・゜゜・ eyebrows raised , before alex shrugged his shoulders , “ i didn’t expect it THIS early but i’m not all that surprised . but hell - why should icare ? less competition for me & shorter lines , it’s a win - win . ”
