Yes, you read that banner correctly! 

Hisuian Sneasel will be making an appearance in the Chéile Region, through a small sidequest players can complete starting in County Bolcán.

County Bolcán, known for its great, yet extinct volcano, presents an interesting challenge for trainers. The gym near it is built vertically, and if trainers are complete the dex, scaling the volcano to catch the Pokémon around it is essential. 

So how is one to do this?

A conductor of the Chéile railways found the answer from a colleague in a distant region. 

An ancient version of Sneasel, a Pokémon found in Sinnoh and Johto, can be restored from a fossil given to you by Conductor Fionn, after a short battle. He tells you that he learned of this Pokémon from a colleague in the Unova region, funnily enough. 

Trainers will have to backtrack to County Cartlann to restore the Fossilized Gem, though Fionn offers you a free ride there on the railways, along with the fossil, for beating him. 

After restoring Hisuian Sneasel, and evolving them into Sneasler, the player will have to train their new partner to carry them in the Legendary Sneasler Box™️ so they can be carried up perilous heights.

[ I cannot draw Pokémon. So when I start posting the Dex, I’ll tell you guys what animal / object the Pokémon is based on, and how it looks in my head, but don’t expect actual depictions of them. I might see in the future if I can commission someone, but until then... use your imagination lmao. ]

How would the game work, if it was actually put out there, and you had the skill to make it?

If this was an actual game, it would be closer to Legends: Arceus than say, BdSp or SwSh. Very open world, very exploratory, just because of how big the counties are. You can sneak and catch Pokémon out in the wild / on routes. Yes, you can walk around during battles. 

There would be a lot of things to do / explore, again attributed to the size of the counties, along with what they’re famous for. 

What kinds of things would you be able to do?

Because Chéile is so massive, there’s many different things to do:

     - Seaweed Baths that act like resting at your camp in Legends ( heals your team ).

     - Grand Underground Lite(tm) - can find Evolution Stones & Fossils here, but w/o the secret bases. Sorry. 

     - Ride Pokémon. Faster way to travel across the huge counties and get new places / stuff. Think Wyrdeer / Ursaluna / Basculegion.

     - Cooking mechanic like Curry in SwSh. Make stew for your Pokémon!

Wild Areas / Catching Pokémon?

Because there’s so much wilderness / open country in real world Ireland, Chéile is much the same. There are smaller towns you can visit outside of the “county town” / main city. Pokémon catching is very similar to Legends, as mentioned before, and you can use both battle and sneaking to capture Pokémon. 

Your Pokédex, a Rotom Phone like in SwSh, doesn’t require you to capture multiple of every Pokémon, but you will be rewarded by the Professor for completing “lines” of Pokémon. If you evolve a Pokémon all the way through, you’d get a monetary reward for completing that section. 

You’d also get money for completing a county, and eventually, the entire Dex.

In Chéile, you have two rivals!

The first is Quinn Ahearne. ( left )

The child of the Chéile region’s president. Quinn is an excitable young person, ready for a new adventure. They pick the starter strong against yours, and gives you helpful tips throughout your journey.

They’re a big fan of Prince Lear of the Uatha Region, despite Chéile and Uatha’s strained relations.

The second is Catalina “Lina” Whelan. ( right )

Your childhood best friend, Lina isn’t gonna take your friendship as an excuse to go easy on you. A tough love kind of trainer, she’ll learn along her journey to lighten up, slow down, and not take everything so seriously.

She picks the starter weak against yours.
