Cyrus was capital 'b' Bored. Major coming in was, like, the only interesting thing about his entire day, and if it weren't for the Sasquatch's completely asinine rambling, Cyrus would be, like, hexing the entire building or something. Just to keep it interesting. "Um, duh... ever considered the whole anonymity thing?" he asked, tone flat as he peered over the coffee cup he was doodling on. "Like, no way Batman would've done half the shit he did if not for the mask, right? It emboldens people."

"The scariest thing of all. Teenagers," Cyrus said, openly mocking how bothered Major was by the whole thing. "Maybe don't go to the fucking haunted house if you don't want freaks in stage makeup following you around, Einstein."

"Yo, what's it about zombie make up and shit that makes these teens working the carnivals feel like they're on top of the fuckin' world? Told one of 'em to stop following me around, and he took it like a fuckin' challenge, growling at me around corners and shit." Sure, whatever, it was lame to make fun of Fright Fest - probably even lamer to be there, all in all. Major had run into the common problem that usually plagued the citizens of Wilmington, though: 'what the fuck else was there to do?'

"Swear to god. You slap a lil paint on 'em, and they start begging for a punch right to the mouth. Can't a guy just scope out a place to smoke in peace anymore? Fuck."

"Okay, actually--" Cyrus winced, poking a finger in his ear and turning to look at the almost-stranger. "Jesus Christ, do you have a volume button?" He mimed pointing a remote at her, pointedly clicking what he deemed the 'volume down' button a few times. "--actually, what just happened here is you totally hustled me." Cyrus nodded, hands on his hips as he surveyed the felt pool table. "And since I'm the victim of such a thoughtless crime... it's only fair you buy this round."

it wasn't necessarily out of the norm for wynne to challenge one of the regulars at tric to a game of pool after she finished her set. she usually even made it interesting with some sort of bet and it didn't always involve money. after all, money wasn't everything despite her currently living situation. whooping as she finished the came on top, a laugh followed. "i told you this was my game!" she exclaimed with a grin stretched over her face. "you done embarrassing yourself or do you want to go another game?"
