What is tallow?  

Rendered animal fat. Tallow comes from cows, bison, sheep, deer, bear, etc.

Is tallow perishable?

Before refrigerators, tallow was used for food preservation. Previous generations would store their food in tallow in a sealed container. At room temperature [CF] will last many months. However, we do not use artificial preservatives, so consider refrigerating it if you plan to keep it for more than six months.

What is the texture / consistency?

Tallow liquifies when heated and hardens when cooled. [CF] balms are whipped. You will notice a change in consistency depending on room temperature.

Why do people like tallow balm?

It is truly remarkable how quickly it nourishes your skin. And no chemicals! We are certain you will love it.

What can I use it for?

Some customers use [CF] Balm for hands only. Others use it as a full body balm.

What is Tallow And Why Should You Use It?

Our tallow is the fat rendered from 100% organic, grass-fed beef raised on an Amish farm in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

CELLULAR STRUCTURE:  Tallow is approximately 50% saturated fat, just like the membranes that surround each cell in our bodies. This makes tallow readily absorbed into human skin. Humans are essentially animals.  Our skin requires the nourishment and cellular structure that animal products offer in perfect equilibrium.

ANTI-CANCER: Tallow contains Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA), which has anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties.

ANTI-MICROBIAL:  It also contains Palmitoleic Acid, which provides natural antimicrobial properties.
