im a fucking sucker for the “character gets so badly injured that they can’t think clearly and start calling for help in a distressingly vulnerable way.” characters who start using nicknames for their friends they haven’t used since they were kids. characters who start begging for their brother they haven’t seen in years to be there. characters who would usually use their parents’ names or call them mother/father/etc crying out mama when they go down. u understand.

How's he feeling? I don't know. I haven't really talked to him. Like at all? Well, I'm guessing he doesn't want to hear from me. I'm sure that's not true. I'm sure it is. I'm the one that did this to him. It was an accident on a basketball court. It happens. He knows that you didn’t do it on purpose.

the one time Donna breaks her not mixing work with pleasure rule the man turns out to be a murderer. I’m sure this won’t turn out to be a problem later on 🫠

“I’m so sorry, Harvey.”
This scene is insane. You know that he’s pissed that Stephen lied to them and tried to sabotage their client, but more than that he’s pissed about Donna being hurt and stuck in the middle.
He would give her the world if she demanded it 😭

someone stop me from writing the differences and contrast between machel and darvey and how suits managed to show both types of relationships so differently yet so well.

Darvey in 3x02:
Donna: “I would follow you to the ends of the Earth” + generally looking out for and explaining Harvey’s actions and motivations
Harvey: listens to her when she says it may be time to forgive Mike.
Just your typical boss and employee relationship nothing to see here 😂

okay finally watched the first ep of season 3 and the thing that struck me the most is donna’s unflinching loyalty to harvey, which is why she’s also pissed with mike. and this is more than the loyalty you have to a good employer - he’s so lucky to have her 😭

“I can’t be me without you!” That’s an insane man right there. Also Donna babe, no one looks at their brother or cousin the way you look at Harvey.

Remember when Donna told Rachel that feelings just go away? I think this is our first clue that she wasn’t entirely telling the truth there, that Harvey is more than just a boss and a friend which is why she felt extra betrayed that he didn’t fight for her.
And Harvey is watching this woman he cares about, his anchor, be badged in front of so many people and he can’t take that - it’s not in his nature to sit by and not do anything for the ones he feels responsible for and so of course he takes a stand (maybe also to absolve the guilt for her being fired)

18 episodes in, and they made it clear that she’s his anchor, his steadying force, and without her he’s more likely to spiral out of control and be a little reckless. Insanity.
Also for such a great lawyer (which means having a good poker face and being able to bluff) he’s not very good at hiding his feelings when it comes to this situation.
