Drove the 95.7 miles of the Cathedral Valley Loop today. Well worth the time and effort. So glad I had the Jeep to make this possible.

Amazing views of this landscape that most bypass.

Main Located in south-central Utah in the heart of red rock country, Capitol Reef National Park is a hidden treasure filled with cliffs, canyons, domes, and bridges in the Waterpocket Fold, a geologic monocline (a wrinkle on the earth) extending almost 100 miles.

Had the privilege of hiking this unique place yesterday and today. What an magnificent, other-worldly place this is.

Took a marvelous half-day trip down the Colorado today!

Spent an incredible day in Canyonlands National Park. Each turn in the road brought a new view, incredible, incomprehensible, and real all at the same time.

So enjoyed my trip to Antelope Island today, despite the pervasive Noseeums. Lovely views of Salt Lake, birds, a bison, and 3 distant pronghorn antelopes.

Terrific visit to the Bonneville Salt Flats outside of Salt Lake City today.

Very much enjoyed my hike around the southern portion of Mono Lake today on my drive from Mammoth Lakes to Rohnert Park.

Very much enjoyed a visit this "winter's day" in California to Bodie - a ghost town north of Mono Lake.

Hiked Fern Canyon today. Well worth the drive down the narrow dirt road and crossing the small streams on the roadway to hike into this incredible microenvironment.

Enjoyed Big Creek, Cathedral Trees and Prairie Creek Trails today at Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park.

Tip: Big Tree is enormous, but it is not the largest tree. Go see the Cathedral Trees.

Really enjoyed this short walk through the Redwoods. So much to see, and easy to access along the Smith River.

Had the great fortune to visit the amazing Redwoods here in California, near Crescent City today.

So enjoyed my time at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest today in Woodburn, OR. Oregon has such an amazing diversity of landscape and environment to offer. It is a must see.

Visited this terrific place today, and its inhabitants. The folks there were so kind as to let me in to view the animals and allow me to extend my stay, once the rain finished and the sun came out, to try and take some better photos with my camera.

Traveled from Bend, Oregon to Crater Lake and Klamath Falls today. Amazing landscapes throughout the journey.

Took this road that spans from Brownsville (3rd oldest city in Oregon) through the Cascades. In fact, I traveled from Beaverton to Bend today.

This byway is filled with beautiful forests, rivers, and mountain passes.
