(art here and fic via tumblr here and ao3 here!) idk i thought it'd be really funny if kotatsu was an ACTUAL lynx, then with the supernatural element thought OOOOOh that could be even more fun! as an aside, i did way too much research on lynxs (not complaining) so this is specifically a Canadian Lynx (sliiiiightly bigger in this drawing than irl probably) while I believe OP kotatsu is more than likely a Eurasion Lynx with his gold coloring... if anybody else cared

Heyyy, NiZo Anon here, I've been wanting to cook up a fic for this crackship. Got any ideas?

The idea that can't seem to get past friendship stage for my brain wiring is that Niji (and Yonji and Ichiji) are new to Sanji and the straw hat gang's high school (child custody bs for my brain, but anything will do!) and the school doesn't have a fencing club so Sanji suggests Niji join the kendo club since "still swords, right? what does it matter?" (matters a lot, pfft) and also because one of his friends, Zoro, is in it and could most definitely handle Niji's... Niji-ness :') Point of cuteness, you get Zoro correcting Niji's form scenarios and also Niji being able to actually put his money where his mouth is with how quickly he picks everything up which impresses Zoro. OH you could also have a bit where Niji teaches Zoro fencing techniques! But yeah, hope that helps! And I'd more than likely read this, too, so definitely say if you were able to write something, even if it's not this specific scenario!

Sorry, but, again, I don't really do requests since my brain tends to shut down once something is 'required' of me (ie, I have promised somebody I'll do it). Hey! Sorry if this has already been asked but does Niji have trouble seeing in your get along au? I was going through all the posts again and it stood out to me in the band aid part! 🙈

YES! Good eye, pun intended!

This is a pretty common headcanon amongst vinsmoke fans given he's always had some sort of eye covering all throughout canon. And in regards to kids with eye problems, very young children are given 'goggle' eye glasses since they can't be trusted to keep it on lol Niji fits that to a T! I for real have a whole story around it, too. Mostly it has to do with Sora and Niji's relationship, how he's the most 'difficult' of her kids but for reasons that are understandable given his disability and her unfortunate guilt about not leaving Judge 'sooner'. "Cataracts, typically associated with aging, can also occur in children. Pediatric cataracts can be congenital or develop due to trauma, infections, or metabolic disorders. When cataracts significantly impairs vision, surgery is required to remove the clouded lens and replace it with an artificial intraocular lens. The timing of the surgery is critical; if performed too late, the child’s visual development may be adversely affected." So yeah, it's a thing. Also b/c I think it would be sweet to have a bit where Niji has to undergo the surgery and his brothers miss him since they can't go with and are just generally confused. They draw him lots of pictures <3 Then also the jOYS of administering eye drops to a four year old! ESPECIALLY a four year old Niji, yaaay! :D

So there's something I'm trying to figure out here: would you say Niji or Yoni is the more chaotic one (at least, in 'verses where they actually have emotions)?

You would not believe how much thought I've put into this idea, NONE! I have concluded, personally, that it is really hard to say since I view them as chaotic in different ways. Yonji's the one you need to keep an eye on in public or even in the house, like you turn to pick something up and turn back to him and he's vanished, only to find him in a top cabinet eating sugar straight outta the bag. Then Niji is the absolute brattiest (I say in love ;_;) of the boys and is constantly ten seconds away from a meltdown, lots of screaming and lots of demands. Also lots of arguing since he's a pretty smart little boy (unlike Ichiji who is very smart, arguably the smartest of the four, but in a way that he is aware that there is little point arguing with Mama and is best to just go with it since it's too much trouble).

Combined...? Their power is UNSTOPPABLE. Niji comes up with ideas that Yonji will follow through with, zero questions asked, and they just absolutely feed off of each other's energy. Sora is exhausted...

Hello yes I would die for get along AU. <3 Can Zeff and Sora bring the tag team beat down to Judge if and when he randomly shows up at their door to try to take the kids?

Thank you and don't die, you won't be able to read the updates! I've thought on this a few times and truly don't know what would happen if Judge came sniffing around for child custody lol I've for sure thought in a different modern AU idea that Sora 100% beat's Judge's ass once she finds out about the abuse (child star AU, Judge being a god awful stage dad while Sora is sick in hospital, woman then literally comes in with the steel chair on his ass, ie, her wheelchair in a fit of PO-ed Mama Adrenaline). As for the Get-Along AU, Judge doesn't pass through my brain enough as a player who would show in the comics, probably since my brain is in adorable mode when drawing it. Which Judge ain't it. For sure something to think about, absolutely! We'll see

In the Vinsmoke Get-Along AU, do the boys and/or Reiju still have any sort of enhancements? After all, they--or at least the boys--received them in utero (though the emotion suppression at least didn't take here).

Nope! The Get-Along AU is 100% modern AU! Not to say that even in a modern AU Judge wouldn't try that shit as I came to realize when reading Blizzard's fic Merely Players. Honestly surprised that that concept isn't explored more in modern AU fics with the vinsmoke siblings, but it didn't occur to me either. But no, no enhancements or emotion suppression, all normal kiddos~

Can't say the brain is able to take requests, sorry! Legit, there could be a concept I LOVE yet when I'm actually physically asked to create it, suddenly all drive is gone. I'm sure there's a word for that, but I don't know it.

HOWEVER I must thank you b/c this made me think more on Zoro and Niji interactions as a whole and concluded that Niji would be in kendo with Zoro and I really like that idea ^^
