I'm gonna say it here too. Allow me to be crystal fucking clear.
It is not cowardly to stay in the closet. Full stop. You do not owe anyone any part of yourself you aren't ready to share
If you unable to come out because you fear for your safety or well-being or because you know it will cause you substantial discomfort, that is not a defect in you. It's a failure of the society in which you live and the community surrounding you.
If you just don't want to share that part of yourself, that is valid and I support you

It's awful how many people have spoken up because of that ask about how when they came out as trans men/masc, they were accused by friends/family of only "thinking" they were trans because they didn't like their boobs.
People jump so quickly to "Oh, you aren't trans, you just hate your body because of sexism. Obviously misogyny has just brainwashed you, because misogyny definitely encourages people to think they're transgender. Its just that you'd be harassed less/experience less misogyny if you were transgender and that's influencing you."
The amount of these responses that are genuinely sexual harassment, with people going "no its just your huuuuuge tits, its just you're so sexy, it makes you think you're trans" is straight-up gross.
Like. People cannot fathom the idea of someone they think is a cis girl actually being trans(masc/a man) unless it's to escape misogyny and its so fucking ridiculous. Acting like "no its just you hate having boobs, you hate having 'a woman's body' because sexism" as if being transgender is some sort of utopic solution that helps people escape misogyny...
Its so frustrating. Not only are you undermining people's autonomy, claiming you understand their mind better than them but its not even realistic.
Being trans can change how you experience misogyny but its not a fucking escape and while its not equivalent to hating your boobs/body, its literally fine if someone hates their boobs and wants to transition. That's their own business!
Its not doing anyone any favors, including cis girls who are questioning, by shutting down people coming out and being condescending about how they feel about their body.
Especially considering the fact that letting people experiment is a perfect way for them to figure out if they're trans. Shutting it down is the opposite. Its not even a genuine attempt at trying to help and the amount of people, specifically parents, who pretend otherwise is exhausting.
