question for you beloved mutual. do you see johnny spirit as a car greaser or motorcycle greaser or even a secret third thing
Oh my god babe what a question,
I personally see him as a car greaser, probably like a Cadillac or maybe a ford Thunderbird.
This is honestly just mainly because I myself love classic cars and I'm projecting that onto him

Chapter 3 - First day of hell
Tumblr media
Clawdeen awoke in her bed just like she had done every other day. Except today was the end of summer and the beginning of school. She had a long list of people she hadn't seen in months to catch up on uninteresting memories of the fishing trip her dad dragged her and her other siblings on. She had cheerleading tryouts after school with the dreaded 'Cleo the control freak'. She no doubt had her bestfriend Draculaura dragging her to watch the boys play basketball at lunch, so she could fawn over them. Draculaura had been away for summer to Romania to see her family. Her father was a high member of some vampire court of officials. This meant Draculaura spent her time being followed around by countless advisors and servants while Clawdeen was learning how to bait a hook. She got picture after picture of 'cute vampire boys' and the view from her families castle. It must have been nice to be an only child.
"Clawdeen! Get up!" Her older brother Clawd yelled from downstairs.
She groaned and rolled over. Her younger sister Howleen was sat cross-legged infront of their full length mirror plucking her eyebrows meticulously.
"It's your hairy legs you've got to worry about" Clawdeen teased as she finally got out of bed. "I got first dibs on the shower, there's no way I'm dealing with Clawd's fur clogging the drain,"
"He's already used it," Howleen mumbled as she put up her orange curls into a high pony.
"Oh god you've gotta be kiddin me" Clawdeen growled. "Why is he so organised?"
"He's picking up Cleo," Howleen grumbled. "Her majesty can't wait forever,"
Clawd and Cleo had been texting over the summer. Clawd seemed to be unsure of the whole ordeal, but with him being the basketball captain and Cleo being the cheerleading captain it just seemed right. Clawdeen had warned Clawd about Cleo's ruthlessness and live wire temper. She needed everything to be in order all the time. Clawd wasn't that type of guy, he liked to hike in the woods and play basketball, Cleo was so materialistic and moody it just didn't seem like Clawds type.
'Cleo's a nice girl, she's got a heart yknow' He would stress.
'Yeah inside a jar,'
Clawdeen reluctantly hopped in the hairy shower and then tamed her own hair and perfectly laid her edges down. Clawdeen had picked out her outfit the night before. It was a pink leopard print tank top and a purple denim mini skirt. She paired it with several gold chains and matching hoops in the dog-like ears that poked out at the top of her hair. Howleen watched as Clawdeen did her makeup perfectly. Their mom had banned Howleen from wearing makeup until her fifteenth birthday. Clawdeen on the other hand had been sneaking makeup into her bag since the age of twelve.
"Are you excited for your first day of high school?" Clawdeen glanced at Howleen, who seemed incredibly nervous. "No more being homeschooled by mom"
Howleen sighed. "Not really, I've spent the past few years both Clawd and Clawdeen-less, now I have to see you both at school AND at home,"
"Thanks, love you too" Clawdeen tutted while shoving her books into her large bedazzled purse.
"Clawdeen! Draculaura's outside!" Clawd yelled once again.
Draculaura was indeed outside honking the horn of her car, Draculaura's sixteenth hundredth birthday present from her daddy. The windows were black tinted to block out the sunlight, which was something vampires had to apply for a permit to do. Her and Clawdeen had been riding into school together since their enrollment. Rushing down the stairs and shoving a slice of toast in her mouth Clawdeen made a mad dash for Drac's black Porsche.
"Hey babe," Draculaura sweetly called out to her from a small crack in the window. "Are you ready for the first day of hell?"
Clawdeen smirked as she opened the passenger side door. The interior of the car was immaculately clean, almost brand new despite Draculaura's birthday being almost seven months ago. Her car parked next to Clawd's beat up used car put it to complete shame.
"Hey Draculaura," Clawd waved as he began to approach said broken down vehicle.
Draculaura immediately smiled widely and waved like an excited child. To which Clawdeen immediately rolled her eyes. Draculaura had known both Clawd and Clawdeen since they were tiny monsters. Draculaura used to play husband and wife with them and make Clawdeen be the pet dog. Clawdeen since then vowed she would try her hardest to keep the two of them separated as long as she could. Clawdeen sarcastically waved to her brother and motioned for Draculaura to hurry up and start the car.
Now cruising to school Draculaura immediately blabbed on about her summer in Romania and how her dad got some special award for being a 'valuable member of the council'. She talked about the ball she went to and all the guys she met. One of them being a vampire called Kieran Valentine. He sounded like a pompous jerk who cared way too much about his appearance than anything else. Draculaura had been told that if she wanted a decent image in the councils eyes then her and Valentine were to at least try to court one another, but Draculaura seemed perfectly happy with this.
"I mean yeah he's a bit full of himself but both of our families have pure vampire bloodlines so it just makes sense really" She nonchalantly stated. "My friend Elissabat tried to date him but she got sick of him asking if his hair looked good"
'Well she clearly has more sense than you Drac' Clawdeen thought.
"So what about you Deena? Any cute guys on the fishing trip?" Draculaura giggled.
"Yeah the catfish were very handsome," Clawdeen teased.
The two spent a second to glance at eachother and laugh. Before Draculaura pulled into the schools parking lot and awfully parked the car over two spaces. The two of them hopped out and checked eachothers makeup before linking arms and strutting inside, ready to dominate the first day of hell.

I honestly miss the early 2010s where gen 1 mh was so popular you could post a fanfiction or fanart and it would immediately be appreciated. I'm so happy for our little community now but I yearn for the early MH craze in the 2010s. The time where i got to see 13 wishes in the cinema with my childhood bestfriend and it was the best day of our life.

Chapter two - Black hearse

Frankie sat stiffly in the scratched leather seats of the strangly long car. The back of it had this carvern of empty space, filled with only a few cardboard boxes with paperwork and files in them. It was so big you could have probably fit a single bed in it and go to sleep comfortably. Headmistress Bloodgood stared straight at the pot hole filled road ahead of them, not glancing to Frankie even once. They stared down at their scarred and slightly mangled hands.
One. Two. Three. Four. Five. On the left.
One. Two. Three. Four. On the right.
They counted the digits on each hand. An asymmetrical display of fingers. Frankie fortunately had both thumbs though. Their father must have ran out when it came to fingers.
Frankie couldn't work out what the Headmistress was. She looked so human and yet seemed so unfazed by their horrific appearance. Her black hair was neatly tied into a bun at the back of her head. She had a long slender neck that poked out of her coats high neckline. Her eyes were a lively blue colour. Her skin, while pale still resembled human flesh, just like their fathers. If the Headmistress was human then why was she taking someone like Frankie to a school presumably filled with other monstrosities.
"I've been asking your father to work for me for years, although I'm always happy for new blood, making you wasn't what I was expecting," The lady chuckled still not moving her eyes. "You are quite the marvel though aren't you?"
Frankie stared out of the window, seeing nothing but leafless autumn trees. They clutched the space where their heart should've been beating and felt nothing. They were like those trees, alive but also dead. Frankie's understanding of humans was very little but they still knew that the heart kept the body going. Without a working heart their body shouldn't be able to move.
"I guess biologically so," They huffed. "But as a person I don't know what I am"
Bloodgood, while still looking at the road emoted a feeling of sympathy. "Hopefully you'll find out who you are," She smiled. "There's so many other students just like you, some were born into human towns, and were chased out and others have never even seen a human before, you all start from different places but you will hopefully reach the same finishline,"
Frankie felt a pulling feeling in their chest, which should've been impossible. "Are all the students exactly like me? Are they also sewn together?"
Bloodgood scowled before putting on a smile. "Actually I haven't seen anyone quite like you in a LONG time," She emphasised. "We boast quite a diverse array of monsters; vampires, werewolves and zombies, which are a little similar to you but not quite,"
"Zombies?" Frankie inquired.
"Zombies in reality aren't exactly how the humans portray them, but thats the case with most of us" Bloodgood put hurt into her words. "We don't know what exactly keeps a zombie from dying like a human, most zombies can't even remember their lives before they wake up again, their bodies decay but still hang on,"
Frankie didn't really know what it meant to die, but then again they barely grasped what it meant to be alive. Being alive for Frankie meant being hooked up to a car battery every night before they blacked out.
"There's good and bad in everyone Frankie, its just a shame most humans only see our baring teeth" Bloodgood sighed. "People are scared of what they don't understand, it's an instinct we need to unlearn,"
Frankie felt an awful feeling of being pulled into reality. Life wasn't just flirting with boys and flicking through magazines. People out there didn't know Frankie and yet hated them just for who they were. The very principle of their being threatened a group of people they had never met. Frankie gripped the plaid skirt their father had laid out on their bed this morning. Biting their tongue out of pure terror.
"It's my job to keep you safe, at least while you're at school," She placed a hand on Frankie's shoulder briefly. "I won't let anyone put a finger on you, any of you, all of my pupils are like my own children,"
Frankie loosened their grip. The car approached a large purple bricked building. It had massive pillars shooting into the grey clouds like spears. The windows were stained glass of figures looking up to the sky. The figures were all different heights, colours, and dramatically different physical features. Some with massive ears, others with fish like fins and others seemily floating off of the ground. The schools courtyard was empty only trash rolling around. A massive statue of a headless man riding a horse was the centrepiece of the schools fountain.
Bloodgood stepped out of the car a walked over to Frankie's door. Opening the door Frankie cautiously stepped out and looked at their surroundings. Birds chirped and squirrels ran around and up trees. With an arm linked with Frankie's Bloodgood guided them to the schools entrance. It was a large wooden door with stone gargoyle heads on each side. Not real gargoyles of course. Bloodgood pushed the door and with a creak they slammed open wide. The hallways were vast and twisted off and up staircases. The walls were lined with paintings of all different kinds of monsters. A large painting hung at the end of the entrance. In the painting was Bloodgood, a tall dark skinned man with a twirly mustache and a girl with a copper like skin tone and large boots. It was almost like a family portrait.
"Let's go to my office, we can go over your schedule for the day" Bloodgood ushered Frankie into the direction of her office.

Chapter 1 - The creation
The masterlist of all current chapters is pinned on my page 💗
Tumblr media
Doctor Stein had been preparing for this day, for the last fifteen days. Throughout this period he dedicated all his time to teaching his creation how to walk, talk and feed itself, amongst other basic things a teenager would need to know. Luckily for his creation their brain had been outsourced and pieced together from donors of high intelligence so simple tasks were no problem. Still, it was apparent that what information the lifeform retained was a mixed bag, one minute understanding beginners quantum physics yet lacking the knowledge of what a fork is. Showing his creation that its not socially acceptable to eat with your bare hands was a good starting point if they were to assimilate with other teenagers. Though, to completely blend in with their peers they would need to learn from them in person. Doctor Stein had sat them in front of reruns of reality T.V to try to give them a jumping point. They had began to want to dress in skirts and heels. Wanting to style their hair in the same way the human teenagers were. Victor couldn't provide them with anything new, just what had been left behind in his divorce.
They weren't a human in the traditional sense. Most humans if they saw them would be horrified by the Doctors biological mismatched puzzle pieces. Yet, Doctor Stein was determined to prove his breakthrough in creating life out of human remains was valuable. The being did not have blood running through its body, instead the limbs were animated by electricity, having to be recharged at least once a day. Very much like a human who needs sleep.
'Frankie Stein'
He marvelled at his monster child, whom blinked at him one eye at a time. They had the appearance of a teenage girl and had adopted this in almost all departments of their being. He had high hopes of their success in school, and the worlds acceptance of reanimated beings being capable of existing.
The first day of school is always hard on a parent, but especially when the child has never met another person other than him. He entrusted Frankie's life today on the faculty of 'Merston High' a private school on the outskirts of town. They boast about their ability to raise the dead just like any other teenager in New Salem.
Doctor Stein tried to put on a brave face at breakfast. Frankie sat opposite him chowing down on their dry cornflakes, they couldn't handle the soggy texture of adding milk yet. Frankie was showing signs of being left handed, most likely as a result of one of the brain donors. Frankie had long black and white hair and skin that varied in tone from green to purple depending on the body part. They had mismatched eyes, one green and one blue, though both eyes passed the optical exams with flying colours.
"Father?" Frankie broke the silence. "Why am I going to this place?"
Victor looked at his child directly and tried to smile through his lie. "To become the person you are meant to be, for you to grow up properly," Of course Frankie had a higher purpose in terms of the point he was trying to prove to science as a whole.
Frankie nodded trying their best to understand what growing up meant. Growing up to them as of this day meant to be just like their father, maybe a scientist or Doctor and to create their own life. But T.V had shown that teenagers went out and partied, talked about boys and gossiped about eachother. It was all very confusing how this connected to eventually being a doctor.
"Mrs Bloodgood will be coming to personally pick you up soon, she's the headmistress in charge of your school," Victor tried to inject some enthusiasm into his voice. "She's going to help you adjust to your school life,"
Frankie had a bag of books and pens sat next to them almost immediately. The books ranged from the works of Shakespeare to the "hisstory of human and monster conflict". Frankie still didn't know if they were human or a monster, their body felt human but their appearance was gruesome. Their brain functioned but their heart didn't beat. Frankie felt different the first time they hugged their father, hearing his heart beat in a continuous rhythm. It was an oddly saddening experience. To be alive but not quite.
A harsh and firm knock at the door sent a shiver down Doctor Steins spine. It was already time. He got up from his wooden chair and breathed heavily with every step closer to the door. A slender towering woman stood before him. She was wearing a long dark purple coat and black horse riding boots. Her long spindly fingers covered by a pair of leather gloves. Her cheeks were gaunt and sharply carved into her ice white skin.
"Doctor Stein, pleasure, is the child ready?" Her voice was stern but not mean.
She firmly shook Doctor Stein's wrinkled hand. Frankie's eyes met the womans almost immediately. The woman cocked her head to the side at the sight of Frankie. Their face stitched together crudely with thick black thread. Bloodgood had heard of Simulacrums before but it had only been successfully done once before Frankie's time. Victor looked at them with hope, he was banking on their success.
"Come on my dear, you don't want to be late on your first day do you?" Miss Bloodgood cooed to Frankie, who sat silently at the table still.
