hi there ! im calne ! im an editor, amateur web designer, "gfx artist", psd maker, and dabbler in many others ^-^ i like being comfy cozy in my bed with my dog, snacks, and video game. honestly that's pretty much it

im not super new to editblr -- i've been here a couple months, just haven't had the opportunity to make a promo post -- but i AM new to being actually active. most of my socials need a rework, they'll be posted here when I'm finished with them !

i'll be posting p much anything that comes to mind ! mostly edits, but maybe some pics of myself (hence the femb0y tags lol) and blogging about my day (hence, girlblogging) as well.

im also !! a severely chronically ill teenager, living in the us of a,, because of everything going on over here I'm looking to move countries, but p much all entry-level jobs are too much physical labor for me . because of this i put donation links in my posts and give the opportunity for people to pay for my works via my gumroad,, but it's never required! it just helps out a lot.

Day 4 — edit a character with a Sanrio character you think fits them / edit a character based on their hobbies/likes/dislikes or story (e.g, heizou -> detective themed edit)

IMPORTANT

Hi! So recently, there's a sudden wave of people faking screenshots in order to frame popular editors. These screenshot are obviously very fake and contain noticeable mistakes in them. Not only has user @//mwilkshke been targeted, but user @//vitalityharmonia, too.

CASE 1

This section of the post covers the fake screenshot targeted towards @//mwilkshke.

As you can see here, a user going by the name of @//nepetalaced accuses @//mwilshke of going into their inbox and calling their layout "ass."

There are so much mistakes with this image, but @//fufumio has summarised it.

With certain brightness filters and settings, it looks like @//mwilkshke's icon has been out onto that ask. Thus debunking this as fake.

Due to this stunt that @//nepetalaced has taken, @//mwilkshke has commented that they've lost mutuals and followers and are receiving death threats.

Later, @//nepetalaced has posted again regarding this Case labelling people as being ignorant and not wanting to believe their mutual -- referring to @//mwilkshke -- to say such statement. But this post has been met with more dismissment.

CASE 2

This section of the post covers the fake screenshot targeted towards @//vitalityharmonia.

Here, a user labeled @//saurusdactyle has accused @//vitalityharmonia of posting a controversial statement ridiculing new editors in the community.

As you can see in the screenshot they've provided, there are two obvious mistakes that can be pointed out, and I'll list them below as no other user

The icon of @//vitalityharmonia is blurred/low quality.

The three dots that should be after the 'follow' button are missing.

As of this post, the user hasn't posted further so there isn't much we can say about this. According to the user here, they've already specified they've been blocked by @//vitalityharmonia in a previous account and made a new one. I believe they've been blocked for a valid and good reason.

However, @//vitalityharmonia has received an ask assuming that they in fact faked the post for 'farming shame.' I do not believe this is true, as @//vitalityharmonia genuinely seems so sweet and nice and they express supportive traits to new editors. They also express feeling sorry for what @//mwilkshke is facing. Its just unlikely for them to do this.

The conclusion I can draw from both cases is that regardless if the accused users are innocent, they'll still receive hate in SOME form. For Case 1, @//mwilkshke has received death threats. For Case 2, @//vitalityharmonia has received accusations of THEM being the hater.

My theory is that this person is trolling and decided to post this at around the same time as Case 1 in order to make this seem 'suspicious' and make people skeptical of @//vitalityharmonia.

I really need to mention something about Editblr, but my reach isn't big so I'm pretty much gonna be yapping to myself.

Editblr is really inaccessible. I won't say I'm perfect, I don't think it ever will be but it has gone to a point that it's gotten beyond ridiculous. And to further stress how stupid it is, this is something that not only I have mentioned multiple times, but many other people.

Your blog is your own space to finetune and build around yourself. But your editing blogs are always going to be public. You usually want this to reach as many people as possible. The moment you begin to make it unreadable, incredibly bright, and just overall a nightmare for disabled individuals, you immediately lose a big portion of your target audience. This might not matter to you, and that is INCREDIBLY asshole-y and weird on your behalf to give that little amount of shit towards people who have vision issues when this is meant to be a safe community for all groups.

Please. I am begging you. Dial down on your typing quirks, lower the symbol and font usage, lower the fucking brightness on your edits. At the very least do so when you want people to read or see what it is you wrote or made. Most people don't even bother to add e2rs or image descriptions. Half the time I can't tell what character is even being edited.

If you think that this is rude, that is really too bad. Because for me to have to ask this much that you simply prioritize the visually impaired over stacks of fonts was fucking insane to me as well.
